Although Ibanez is really best known for superb shredder style guitars like the JEM and PIA series, I've always had an interest in their hollowbody series; really robust build, solid sounding and affordable. I'm always impressed with how they compare pretty favorably to the more expensive hollowbody models like the ES-335 series from Gibson and the similar offerings from PRS and others.
hey - i'm having trouble finding the right size - so you found that the 5/32 L- hex allen key worked? web searches say a 4 mm is th eone that fits these babes
Brother Ben! Always a fun vid, it's like having a Bro working next to me on the bench. I do like that Ibanez truss door, maybe a 4mm t-handle could be the ticket there. I'm waiting on delivery of a new axe today, and have all the same tools out right now! Harpo from the Marx Brothers learned on and used a harp that was incorrectly tuned, so there's a fun harp fact. Rock on Brother!
@@BenCoombs my bad, I'm going to go back and burn one and see if it will make some sense to me I mean why did you take off the little Ibanez neck adjustment cover..... I mean the video is of great quality and the sounds good..... What are you smoking in your vape....😁😅😂🤣
@@llengford Burning one always helps when watching my videos lol!! I took the cover off before adjusting the truss rod...which I didn't end up needing to adjust. I never plan out my videos before shooting and this is a good example of it lol!! Hope you found it entertaining at the least!!
nice axe love that trans black. Definitely not the worst pun on this channel. Need to do curb side demos, that would be a thing.
Very informative. I learned a lot. Thanks so much.🙏👍🤘
😁😅😂🤣
i just picked one of these up - huge fret buzz - neck looks pretty flat AGS-73M

Sweet sweet guitar!
Great job Ben. Don't forget to leave it on my porch if I am not at home.
Hi sir, thanks for the video! I have an Ibáñez artcore afs75t, but i want to replace the bigsby. Can you please recommend me a tail and bridge? 🙏🙏
I'm not sure. I serviced this guitar several years ago. Pretty sure Ibanez uses metric hardware.
cool looking guitar.
Trust door ,I heard it was a fairy door, now that was a set up lol have a good week Ben
I am curious about your views on the tailpiece
height. Can you share it?
I lower the tail piece as close to the body as possible without interfering with the bridge.
@@BenCoombs Thanks!
I used a 5/32. The 4mm T wrench would not seat

Ben what do you think of the switch location on this body style? I kind of like it, but i'm pretty .. bridge it and forget it!
Never really noticed so it must be ok lol!!

"AGS73FM-TKS-12-01" was what I was going to name my first child.
what size allen key do these guitars take? thanks
Been a few years since I've worked on this, it takes either a 4 or 5mm.
thanks!@@BenCoombs
It never showed up.
Came for the setup. Stayed for the ADHD 😂
New lockdown? It must be that new India variant making the rounds there in Can-eh-dia. Stay safe.
Really loved how you mocked the "name" of the guitar. Anyway, greetings from me and my Ibanez AGS-73FM-VLS (TKS and VLS are colour codes).
Sssssh! I'm trying to listen to Ben!
I almost made it to the end...
Better luck next time!!
👍🏽👍🏽
I mean what is the point....🤨
Of what?

@@BenCoombs I guess I was disappointed cuz I didn't see you doing an adjustment on the bridge and string height
