Mandy Lee’s recipes are SO freakin’ DELICIOUS! It’s thoughtful, has technique, layered with flavors and not boring. Just did her char siu recipe, hands down, best receipt on RUclips, better than so many Chinese places. Will be making this stew before the weather gets warm.
Great stew, made it today and we loved it. We couldn't find beans at the store so I added rice. Then I thought it be great with hominy as well. We found we will use double the oxtail next time. Thanks
Another great side benefit I found from this stew was that there was extra delicious sauce/broth that I spooned into another dish when I wanted to change the taste profile. It was like a ready made taste bomb. Yum.
Very consise for a Mandy video; kind of miss her usual in depth intensity, but this is a straightforward, comforting dish. The mix of cultural inspiration is so fun! Haven't cooked with ox tail before but I'd love to try this
I bought your cookbook but I have loaned it to my cousin and haven’t gotten it back yet …I was wondering if this recipe is included in that cookbook? She loves it as much as me. I might have to buy another copy for myself.
You keep talking about chilly. I thought you was making kimchi stew and you never said what kinda beans you used I guess because your beautiful you can get away with that thanks for sharing your recipe with Us Yusuf Ali Brooklyn NY
There is such a thing as being critical in a constructive way; this is just mean. Also, she did not show the packaging of the paste she used, so you're just baselessly being mean.
@@GroguSlayer69 obviously you know nothing about traditional korean pastes because not all of them contain corn syrup. either way who gives a f when it’s usually only a few tablespoons used in recipes, it’s not going to kill you or effect your health greatly. what other unhealthy ingredients are you referring to? MSG?? if so this conversation ends here since i’ll know exactly what kind of person you are based off that alone. live a little and maybe work on that orthorexia you got. no healthy person is going to worry about a bit of corn syrup in a few tablespoons give me a break.
Outstanding, Mandy! Your creativity always blows me away.
Freaking love Mandy lee❤

I just bought oxtail today and now I know exactly what I'm going to do with it as I have all of the other ingredients on hand.

Very unique, a Western, Korean, and Chinese fusion stew, with Japanese and French elements. Very unique indeed
I loved the parting words and conclusion that even a bad version would still be good. 🤓

Comon sister, learn to read, that gochuyang paste is pure corn syrup and crappy ingredients. hard pass on this.

@@jonniemike9 if you cook on a regular basis you would know that all corean pastes all loaded with crap.
