Thank you for the idea there are no other videos like yours, we just did our fence based on your video and it is hard work but we love our yards new look.
I appreciate the support. My gaps were huge. But nothing compare to what I have seen driving around. Pretty sad to see installers not take the extra time.
You definitely did a really good job. Looks great. Unfortunately, my fence problem is much bigger. The company that installed my fence had no desire to excavate anything. So I’m gonna have to do it myself. I did get some quotes and it’s a lot higher than I think it’s worth. I’m in the same situation you were in. I didn’t notice the unevenness of the fence until it started to settle. And that’s when I started noticing gaps in some areas and other areas it’s fine. Plus about a year ago we had strong winds here and it blew a good portion of the fence down along with bending some of the post. Which I repaired all of it myself, but however, it did weaken some of the post. So some of the post are loose and they’re leaning inward.
Hey, I just wanted to give you an update on my fence. I worked on it yesterday. I took the gates off reset the post that hold the gates up so I’m waiting until the cement dries then I’m gonna go back and reinstall the gates tomorrow. Some of the panels Have to be taken down and the post be taken out and redone. It’s a project that’s probably gonna take me a week I would say. Trying to do it in my spare time. Guy I was in the army with I keep trying to recruit him to come help me, but he his neck, deep in an alligator swamp. Not literally but figure of speech. Anyway, have a good day.
I watched your clip again. I do not have a circular saw nor do I have that other tool u used. All I have is a jigsaw do u think I could cut what’s needed with that
@@johnhouli3450 I guess it depends on what you are trying to cut and the cut you are trying to make. Jigsaws I’m my experience tend to cut a bit more aggressively than say a multi-tool.

Looks great! I have some big angled pieces in my backyard I need to do this to. But there is cement curbing under all of the fence, and neighbor on the other side probably should look good from both sides. What's your recommendation on that?
If you can get on to the other side of the fence, that would probably help. I’d hold it up the way you want it on your side, then from the other side, draw a line so you know where to make your cut to get the angle right.
The other the side is completely covered by dirt/grass. So you dont even see anything at all on the other side. It’s held up great so far, just need to go back add some more rocks after the winter.
Question. We recently got a fence installed and they're are gaps!!! Why is this? Did they install it wrong? Cause my thing is the same as yours. Whats the point of having a fence at all if animals can still crawl underneath and get in?
If you just recently had it installed, my guess is they did not to a great job on the install. But without seeing it, it is hard to say. How big are the gaps? Installed on grass?
@@DIYBRY Yes its very straight. I went bk out and looked again and it isn't that big of a gap but im going to hire some new ppl to take a look at it cause its just bothering me a bit. I have kids and want them safe playing in the backyard!
@@Ken-b2l An astute observation. Wind cannot (and has never been able to) travel “through” a vinyl fence. 🤣 Better check out chainlink instead. Just an FYI, that is not what a gap under the fence is for. Vinyl fence installers leave a gap under the fence to accommodate temperature fluctuations, which cause the vinyl to expand and contract, preventing potential warping or damage to the fence if it were installed directly on the ground; this gap also allows for easier maintenance and cleaning around the base of the fence, and can help with drainage by preventing moisture buildup underneath. The solution in my video shows excellent drainage with the rocks and space underneath the fence. The solution is also only really intended for those whose fences were poorly installed, circumstances have changed since install, or just unsightly.
Bro just a suggestion... Maybe change your background music. No one wants to hear the same music on ever single video. Usually when new people find your channel they check out videos on your channel. It gets seriously annoying when every video has the same music over and over again. Do yourself a favor and either mix the music up or drop it all together.
Thanks for the suggestion. There is a lot of royalty free music out there, most of which is worse than this I am sure you can guess. RUclips runs checks on the music. I had to take a video down before because what should have been royalty free was flagged as copyright. Theses tracks are free and do check out with RUclips. I feel you, but I have spent hours trying to find better things, trust me.

Do you have any ideas for filling gaps for gates? Thank you!
Hard to say without seeing the gate. Vinyl, wood, metal?
