- Prepper survivor Rob Duval has lived on his homestead from birth, and since his parents were murdered by scavengers, he'd lived in isolation for over ten years. With his well dry and game scarce, he has no alternative but to seek out civilization. Problem was, he knew a lot would have changes over the years. However, he wasn''t prepared to find out that survivors of the drought lived as slaves in return for food and water. Rob will need all his wits about him to survive in this new world that he discovers along his perilous journey. An original story , copyright of the author Declan Conner.

Channel Mission Statement from the author, Declan Conner
All the stories are from my own imagination. It takes me from 10 to 40 hours to craft and to edit each of my stories for upload. Unfortunately, I am of limited means, and to put out my audiobooks on RUclips as free to listen to, I have to use AI voices. The minimum cost of voice actors is $250 per finished hour which actually takes around 6 hours to complete. My stories currently range from around 30 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes. It would therefore not be financially viable for me to put out the fifty stories that I hope to put out this year as free audiobooks. With regret, I don’t have the training or the voice to do it myself. I would recommend therefore that if you are averse to AI narration to pass on by to other channels that have the funding to use paid narrators. If you enjoy the stories feel free to like and subscribe. - Развлечения
I enjoyed the story with a happy ending. Can we have a Audio part 2 about Rob & his homestead.
Hi there. Thanks for your comment. The story itself in part is in tandem with what is happening in the rest of the country as an aside to a trilogy I have on Amazon with three books having the titles The Denverines: Ashes to Ashes. The Protectorate: Crown of Thornes. and the final book, Drone Swarm: The Last Stand, in a final battle between AI and humanity. in the US. I'll try and think of a plot for a part two for Rob and Lora, so bear with me. Hopefully one day I'll be able to create the trilogy as audiobooks and upload them to RUclips.
I liked this, so glad there’s NO zombies . Keep up good work 😊
i'll so my best Thanks.
I saved to my playlist as soon as I saw your comment so, thanks! Can't get into zombie books.
Thanks for posting no zombies.
You're welcome. Zombies are just not my thing to put in a story.
i was here. Thanx for the story!
You're welcome
Excellent story. I enjoyed it very much.
Glad you enjoyed it!
If I was starving… wolf meat 🍖 would be my next meal. 6 wolves would make for lots of meat 🍖
I'll hold my hands in the air to that observation. My bad, Luckily it's only for a short tract of the narration. Didn't notice I hadn't reduced the sound effect volume until it was too late to delete it and to upload afresh with so many views and hours listened to.. Lesson learned for the use of sound effects in the future..
That was something I considered until I had him ambushed with the offer of provisions. But Yeah, without the intervention, it would have been my, or should I say, his next meall too.
Thanks for the story 👍
You're welcome. It was fun to write. Thanks.
Loved the story .
Thank you. It's comments like yours that keeps me motivated to write more stories for upload.
I don't mind the ai,I'm getting used to it. Keep up the good work.
Thank you. I've just uploaded a fill story instead of a short story as a trial in the same genre. I'll see how that goes.
I would read this for free
Why not eat the wolf It would have eaten you , Isn't it better than cannibalism.
Good point. I think he was more concerned at getting his ammo while feeling vulnerable unarmed. Maybe he'd have thought of that once he had his ammo if he hadn''t been ambushed by Lora and Jack.
One problem: extreme solitude leads inevitably to insanity.
For some
Yes for some it does.
Rob had his pets for most of the 14 years.
