This tavern brawl was pretty soul-crushing. One game I started with a 1-cost Varian that pulled out iron juggernaut, grom and some other putz. The next game, I had two warbots and a priestess of elune.

+SlayBells Yeah, I pretty much throw back everything unless it's a really good card, cause whenever I tried to keep some early game stuff they ended up not mattering at all.

that's terrible advice, you want to aim for mid game minions so you have more chance of actually being able to play something.
+THEP1AY3R that's inaccurate. If you mulligan for late game minions, there's a good chance the late game minions will get discounted enough for you to play them early. Even if they don't, it's worth it to have them in hand so you can play them by turn 4 hopefully because dropping a big minion early game will still be a ridiculous swing for you, even if you miss turn 1,2,3 or smth like that.

This brawl is fantastic. It's all about losing or winning in the most spectacular way imaginable. I've seen some of the most insane comebacks in this Brawl. For example a Paladin played a T2 Tirion against me. I casually topdeck a Sap to get it out of the way. Then he goes T3 Illidan+Coin+Argent Protector on the Illidan. I play Fan of Knives, Cold Blood my Goblin Auto-Barber to kill his Illidan and pass the turn. On T4 he plays Tirion AGAIN and I topdeck the Black Knight I mulliganed from my opening hand. Even then he still had a chance to come back but he conceded, probably out of sheer disgust.

+Echsom I just played against a priest that put out three (3!!!!) confessors on turn 3. I had no answers so he got a fourth confessor, a ragnaros and a malganis on turn 4. Best brawl so far.
+Gabu - San that's nothing i just got two prophet velens for 1 mana and a faceless for 1 so on turn 3 i had 3 prophet velens lol. My hero power healed for 16

+killerspartan55 yeah, lol, where you don't attack with patriots, just hurt them to get more attack on the engine, just be careful not to kill the engine, lol.

And you CAN attack with them, as long as you don't let them dies while on 3 health. Heck, even if they do die, you get the armour.

Druid is numero uno class for this imo.
Turn 1: Coin > 2 mana Grovetender (mana)
Turn 2: Heropower
Turn 3: Cenarius
Turn 4: Cenarius + Ironbark Protector

The first game I [played in this brawl I played as warlock. I ended up drawing mol'ganis 4 times, and ended up with three 13/11 copies of it. That was fun.
So I'm a f2p hearthstone player and I just packed golden Malygos and I'm dptrying to build a cheaper mid range version control warrior and all the cards I need left is grommosh 1 brawl and 2 sheild slam and I'm wondering if I should disenchant my golden Malygos for the grommosh and I don't play shaman or Mage often so I'm not sure either to keep or disenchant it.
Had a game with this where I was going 1st, turn 1 Mistcaller, turn 2 Earth Elemental + Max attack Fireguard Destroyer. Meanwhile opponent had Elven Archer and shattered Sun Cleric. I can't tell what to think of this brawl., considering the next game the opponent had a turn 2 Varian Wrynn that pulled a Sludge Belcher, Gazlowe, and another Varian.
I personally think fist of Jaraxxus should deal 6 damage, so then it would be like a fireball with a possible advantage but possible drawback as well

I got 2 Tirions and a Boom out on turn 3 in this brawl. Best one so far by a long way, hope they do it again.

had to like the video just because of the final music
I liked this tavern brawl, but it seemed although the "randomised" mana costs were far to subtle; few and far between. I would have preferred it if they were incomprehensible mana cost differences every turn, and not only reducing the cost but increasing it. Yes the mana cost was increased some of the time, however it was quite minimal compared to massive occurrence of the mana cost being reduced.
Alike this it also seems although when at mulligan stage in the game the odds of getting lower cost minions (when and only when playing lower cost minions in your deck) are slightly more likely to be found, compared to getting higher cost minions; this is because of the convenience/inconvenience. If not, the consumers/players would be in distress and especially unsatisfactory due to the complete randomised style. Although this would be a complete inconvenience most of time, it would be somewhat amusing. If not for you, for me ;)

Came back to hearthstone after a long time not playing. Then I played the brawl since free pack. First turn the enemy put a mountain giant then a 5 - 4 and I closed the game.

They do not have a higher chance to get a lower cost because the probability event is mutually exclusive but not independent. Meaning, a 8 mana cost card has an equal chance between becoming a 1 mana cost and a 10 mana cost. However, higher base mana costs are still better because the stat reward for a good roll is better.
Liber Philosophus Well, they do have a higher chance of getting discount. Say if you have a 10 cost, there is a 9/10 chance it gets a discount as a any cost besides 10 is considered a discount.
Liber Philosophus , you don't know what you're talking about. Not a single card in his hand the entire video was a higher cost than its original. It rolls a discount to the mana cost that a given card inherently has

First game in this mode I got a turn 2 Varian that brough out a grommash, stormwind champion and a fen creeper. This brawl is too hard.
My last opponent in this brawl played Jaraxxus on turn two.

34:00 You DID have potential lethal.
Easy way to calculate it:
- frostbolt face -> 15 left, 2 random damage
- missiles -> 5 random damage
- ping and board -> 12 targeted damage
if your random damage all goes on the taunts and face, then you kill. You can reduce the random slightly by holding the ping and flamewaker in case more goes to face than to taunts. As long as at least 1 ping hits a taunt and none hit the other minions, you win.
Either way... it was waaaay too unlikely to actually be the better play. 3/5 for each of the 7 random damage pings, down to 2/4 and 1/3 as you kill the taunts.
Seems like about a 5% chance to hit only the desired targets. Maybe, just maybe, as high as 10%?
