Hi john, thanks for your efforts and for your products which are something expensive for me as Middle Eastern one so try to make discounts for ArchiCAD users who struggle to practice ArchiCAD in the right way as professionals do, thanks again.
Thanks Mahmoud! I run discounts all the time on the products, just check out the contrabim website and sign up for the newsletter to learn about when it's running! I don't always post to RUclips for that...
These texture settings are pretty nice and speed up my workflow. But the thing is, I can't create Sections/Elevations with different view settings with just one marker. I ended up creating a new section/elevation marker and new Layer Combination just for the "texture view". Also, still waiting for this feature to be implemented in 3D document. Working with GO (Graphic Override) + Image Fill (ruclips.net/video/PULVxSxBckY/видео.html) is a bit of hassle for a long time, especially if there is lot of design change. Anyway, great video as usual. When will you be livestreaming again?
Great point. You can apply a graphic override to the cover / uncut fill as part of the view settings, but then you'll lose the fill component as well. It'd be nice to have an override relating to the view setting that can toggle on and off the texture. Totally agree this needs to be part of the 3D document! I was surprised it wasn't! I'll get back into more live streams here soon. Big effort recording the new CONTRABIM Training Guide right now, but I have some plans for a change to the channel next year in 2022, which will bring much more live content. Thanks for the comment!
@@CONTRABIM Damn, I think that would have been more worthwhile than in sections. So many times I have a nice 3D view with textures, lighting and all it needs is some DIMS. I guess it's the Graphisoft way, just like Cover fills on Beams, that took way too long to get that feature.
@@duncanh6045 Yes totally with you on that! I thought we were going to get the texture fill options on elements in plan view as well, but that only applies to fills. Almost there! I'm sure they'll be getting a lot of feedback on this 25 release which is good, but could be great with a few tweaks
There are definitely some beginner courses out there. If you have the Graphisoft Learn access they have some good beginner content there. That or just search on RUclips! Thanks for the question!
wait -- isn't Fade Distant Elements just a re-named Marked Distant Area that's been around for years? although having never played around with image fills it's interaction with the Distant Area setting could be new. never had the need for image fills before.
Yes, you are right! My bad I should have noted the difference in the video! The Marked Distant Area does work pretty much the same way, except the new Fade Distant Elements now automatically fades the background area, and also provides additional options relating to the new texture fills. Overall, it's not a huge change, except the name and a few new options to go along with it... Thanks for the comment!
Haha I'm still not convinced, although I've heard a few people say it that way. I had to double check to see how Graphisoft says it on their videos: ruclips.net/video/8vni980qvUc/видео.html One example but there may be plenty of evidence to support your claim:)
C est formidable on aime avoir beaucoup de vidéos merci
Great video! Glad you’re posting more videos again!

@@CONTRABIM 👍
Isn't marked Distance area already a thing for elevations and sections? You can fade it out with grey.
Yes they’ve renamed the feature to go along with the new functions. Now it’s fades both textures and provides the option to control pens
Is this feature now (finally) available in the interior elevations tool or not?
@@Claudiozee Yes it is available with interior elevations. Not the Faded Elements feature but the texture fills for sure.
@@CONTRABIM Cheers man. Well the fading option holds more value to me. Oh well, I'll keep using normal section lines. Well hope it'll be in version 30

I hope the view texture settings are available for 3D documents too.
Ya unfortunately not yet. Hopefully at some point!

Hello, there are no courses from beginner level to the professional level ?
