Blues music was influenced by West African music passed down by enslaved people from West Africa, as well as European-style folk music passed down by European immigrants to the U.S. The harmonica was invented in Germany as a piano tuner and it reached the U.S. via German immigrants. Little Walter was a famous Black musician who revolutionized its use in Blues music. It’s funny how an African American contributed to the modern music of his ancestral homeland.

What an incredible artist. And Malian music is on another level. The instrumentals are so rich. I believe the Nilo-Saharan and the Niger-Congo regions, that's where the roots of ancient African artistry and culture lies. And Mali, is certainly one of its capitals. Kora just is the most exquisite sound I hear. It humbles me and just brings love and joy in me when I hear it play.
Thankfully I found some desert blues compilations and this was one of many astounding songs on it. My trip to Egypt many years back sowed the seeds of my love of African music. ✌️❤️🎶⚖️

What an incredible artist. And Malian music is on another level. The instrumentals are so rich. I believe the Nilo-Saharan and the Niger-Congo regions, that's where the roots of ancient African artistry and culture lies. And Mali, is certainly one of its capitals. I hear and see their cultural influence everywhere on the continent.
