In the worm - worm gear example, can the the worm gear drive the worm? Condition that is unrealistic. Is there a way to control dependencies? Worm can only drive, worm gear can only follow.
So, two gears on different planes. Like a pair of bevel gears? How about aligning them to a sketch which features the axes of both gears as well as the point of contact?
How would we assemble geneva mechanism??? It engages & disengages two specific mates as they exist in onshape. Without collision detection that seems out of reach for onshape users
Hi Rick - The Spur Gear custom feature has an option to add a keyed shaft: cad.onshape.com/documents/5742c8cde4b06c68b362d748/w/b493e0cb681bbf9497d9f4b3/e/c72760543a0d4412e72f6d38
Great lecture! Onshape is awesome! All the power with none of the bloat and cruft.

Good say sir let me ask how to do a spring compression in onshape? Thankyou,
Is there any way to bring the teeth of two different gears...on different planes.. close to each other..any tip.
Not sure we're understanding...I assume you figured it out by now? If not, let us know (or let us know what you found to be the best solution).

There is no collision detection when moving parts in an assembly, you will need to set limits.
@@OnshapeInc can you please add collision detection limits are not useful in all situations.

Do gears have to have an axle for a revolute?
