    Very cool thanks for sharing the guts of it . 😂 have a couple 24v power wheels needing a task to perform. Maybe send it to get pizza😳👍

    It's cool how the software can draw the lines for you, I though you would have to do it manually.

      Ye. I makes it hard to do anything other than just a plain field though. Like if I want it to go around a tree.

      @@InitialFPV The newest versions (maybe just beta, not sure) of Ardurover allow you to draw an exclusion fence around an object and then the mower will avoid that area. The fence is independent of the mission. I haven't tried it yet, but will be soon.

    So I created a polygon and I go to auto WP and I just have survey(grid) option and when I click that my polygon doesn’t show up… am I missing anything ?

    • @InitialFPV
      @InitialFPV  2 года назад

      That is odd. Maybe try I different version of mission planner? I don’t think I installed anything special to get that option. Possible it moved. I haven’t used it in at least a year…

  • @cesmaeili

    I can’t find your full param list, can I get that link? I got the build done( except for getting the gps farther away from everything ), now I want to test my version of jerry, sherry lol, no remote controller so using mission planner actions.

    Did you have any problem with using the power from the lawnmower battery to power the micro controller? I am hoping to do the same with a f405-wing and use the controller to power the servos… before I plug in tho want to know if you did anything before connecting the omnibus vin to the mower battery?

    • @InitialFPV
      @InitialFPV  2 года назад

      Powering the board there was no problem. Once the mower is on the voltage is relatively stable compared to the flight controllers intended use on a quad. I still decided to power the servo rail with a separate 6v regulator. (The silver thing in the box)

    and you marked boundaries using the gsm module?

    Thanks for this! Great content. Actuonix seemed a bit small for the job, did they give you any trouble? Price is right on them. Thanks much!

    • @KennyTrussell
      @KennyTrussell 3 года назад

      I used small Actuonix actuators with good success as far as strength goes, but they were slow.

    • @InitialFPV
      @InitialFPV  3 года назад

      Yea they work well and they're pretty reliable, just slow. Ideally you would either use a massive servo at the pivot and remove the control arms or connect it directly to the hydraulic system. Unfortunately I don't have a mower to destroy.

    • @KennyTrussell
      @KennyTrussell 3 года назад

      @@InitialFPV After I did change to honking big servos, i realized that there was a spring down on each transaxle. After removing that, the sticks were much easier to move. I think I could have gone with a less strong, but faster Actuonix actuator, but I was committed by then to the servos and they have worked well.

    I know jerry is 2 years old now but, jerry doesn't need to turn, he doesn't have a front or back he just has this way or that way ( all DIY mowers designers worry about turning) turning is not important

    • @InitialFPV
      @InitialFPV  2 года назад

      Well most of them do have to turn anyway on account of they cant go sideways so in a perfect grid pattern theyre not losing any efficiency. Commercial ones also would then have to double sensors. For this application the hydraulics have much more torque forwards and handling is better bc of the placement of the motor.
