Dada, thank you for this and all other videos. I stumbled upon your channel a couple of weeks ago and have been very impressed with your polished story telling and videography. I have tried to show your videos to my friends only to be met by the usual "Chinese propaganda, paid by the CCP" comments. I was wondering if you would do a short video about you, your background and how you came about exploring some of the most controversial parts of China as a Canadian. Your accent in both languages are perfect so I am also curious myself about you and your background!

I have friends who visited southern xinjiang last month and has no any problems as well. They are westerners and only holding short time travel visa.

10:49 there is no bride price in Uyghur Culture.. There is only a dowry and dowry Culture is different from Chinese Culture..
first in Uyghur Culture the Uyghur girl have the right to choose who want to marry or not.
second in Uyghur Culture the Uyghur wife and husband have the right to divorce by any reason.
the dowry give for the bride to prepare herself for the wedding

the reason for the diversity in appearance among the Uyghur people and the Turk in general is that they have no concept of racial purity in the past or present. In their system anyone born to a Uyghur father becomes a Uyghur and part of the Turk people. this allows Uyghur men to marry people of different Turk tribes and different ethnicities and have Uyghur children of different appearances...
Uyghur is the tribe name and most of Uyghur people use Uyghur tribe name as their family name too. for example.. in ID: your name then your father name then your grandfather name and then your grand grandfather name and then in the last thier tribe name Uyghur as their family name.... some other Turk tribes use this way as well and in this way they know they are from the same tribe

We Uyghurs are very peaceful and friendly people. Since 2016, millions of innocent Uyghur youth have been detained and transferred to slavery and extreme prisons established by Bingtuan. Among those imprisoned, I have many of my young relatives. Those people have committed no crime, were happy with their lives and many cases highly successful and humanistic. I hope the Chinese government change its policy, show respect its laws, stop causing unnecessary suffering of Uyghurs and other natives people of Xinjiang, and let them reunite with their family members and support possible rehabilitation of those who spent years in prisons, and let them file suit for compensation.

Uyghur people are native people of Uyghurstan and all China have to do there is to respect Uyghur people Culture and this include Uyghur language and writing characters/alphabet, traditional Uyghur arts, dance, music, costumes and marriage culture. Uyghur people don't need to integrate.. Integration into what? btw all minority in Uyghurstan know that this is Uyghur land only the fool who came in 19th-20th country.. the same things in Tibet and In Inner Mongolia because these regions were not part of China and Only in 18th and agen 20th centuries China make these regions part of China.. btw even in Yuan Dynasty that ruled China Uyghurstan and i think even inner mongolia was never part of China Yuan Dynasty but Tibet were under China Yuan Dynasty as a region administration

Please study the real history. Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Uyghur nation did not even exist. They are not even a native ethnic group in the Western Regions, and have never established a lasting national government. Xinjiang is a land where people including Han, Uyghur, Mongolian, Tibetan, Kazakh and many other ethnic minorities live together. Racists like you, who are accustomed to massacre as a means, will definitely not understand the Chinese cultural idea of mutual tolerance and integration of all ethnic groups, peaceful coexistence and common prosperity.

You are the one who needs to study the real history... Chinese never exist in Uyghurstan only in 19th-20th century.. let's go back to history when Tang Dynasty came to Uyghurstan and make Uyghurstan protected areas by help of some Turk tribes .. Uyghurstan were under the control of western Turkic Khanate before the Tang Dynasty came and make it protected areas.. the Arabs sent missions to the Turk Khanate in all Central Asia and reached Turfan city in Uyghurstan in 692 AD and he said Turks people live there.. the reason for the Battle of Talas in 751 AD is that China Tang Dynasty wanted to make all of Central Asia a protection area and he even took areas under control of the Abbasid Empire in Afghanistan and make it protected areas. when China Tang dynasty was defeated in the Battle of Talas in 751 AD between the Arab Abbasid Empire and the Turks clan that were with China Tang Dynasty but switched to the Abbasid Empire side and the Tibetan Empire against China Tang Dynasty, Uyghur Khanate in North Asia annexed the majority areas of Uyghurstan and the Tibetan Empire took back Gansu and Qinghai Provinces and took some areas of Uyghurstan. After that, the Uyghur Khanate and the Tibetan Empire fought over Uyghurstan and there was an agreement to hand over the Uyghurstan regions that under Tibetan Empire to the Uyghur Khanate because this is Uyghur regions... btw the Abbasid Empire sent a messenger to the Turk clan in 750 AD before Talas battle in 751 AD asked the Turks to fight with Abbasid Empire against China Tang Dynasty but they refused and maybe that's why these Turks clan switched to the Abbasid Empire side against China Tang dynasty when Talas battle began. After the fall of the Uyghur Khanate in 840 AD the Uyghurs in Uyghurstan established Karakhanid Empire in 840 AD which consisted of Uyghurstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.. historically when a delegation of Arabs headed to China sent by the Abbasid ruler of the Abbasid Empire to meet China Emperor and with merchants they passed through Kashgar city in 847 AD, they said the ruler of Kashgar city was from the Uyghur Khan and the people living there was Uyghurs and Kashgar city at that time was the capital of Uyghurstan and Uyghurstan were part of the Karakhanid Empire that founded in 840 AD which consisted of Uyghurstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan..
The Uyghurs in Uyghurstan the majority of them were Buddhists unlike the Uyghurs in North Asia who are Tengrism (Shamanism) or Manichean. The Uyghurs in Uyghurstan are agricultural and shepherds and not like Uyghurs in North Asia nomads who depend on animal shepher only and that's why Tang Dynasty and China never comes to Uyghurstan again only in 19th and 20th centuries.. even in Yuan Dynasty that ruled China Uyghurstan and i think even inner mongolia was never part of China Yuan Dynasty but Tibet were under China Yuan Dynasty as a region administration

@@user-ym8lz3yj8l Let me say it again. There is no such thing as the Uyghur nation and political power in history. In ancient China, they were called "Zahu", which means people who don't know which ethnic group they belong to. The characters and languages they speak also change with the changes of local ruling regimes. Xinjiang has been China's territory since ancient times and was called the Western Regions at that time. Please look up the meaning of the word "域", which means the territory of a certain country.
