I was today years old when I found out David Thomas had passed away 13 years ago. This interview made me look up him because I haven’t seen him in forever. Crazy.
The drive-by scene in this movie was the scariest one I’ve seen in ANY hood movie It was fast paced like REAL LIFE, and then cats did a U-turn and started shooting AGAIN! You really felt Willie & Roger’s fear. And watching Roger get ran over made me cry. I was 10 years old in 2007
That’s just on tv….imagine being in situations like that in real life! I’m in south central Los Angeles as we speak and been all my life so I can relate to scenes like this in movies….im not glorifying any of it this bs cuz I pray to make it out one day.
"Just leave" always was a memorable line out of that scene for me it showed the depth of his character and a softer side that didn't wanna do it but he had to
This was my favorite movie as a teenager, this movie actually got me out the streets and had me focus on basketball/college . I got a full ride scholarship to Florida Gators but got hurt and lost it. Now I’m an HVAC technician making really good money. Long story short, I could have ended up in prison or dead if I stayed in the streets and the life I was living.
Omg I remembering meeting him and he was promoting his music. He told me about this movie and now it’s one of my favorites. He was so humble then and still is now. ❤
I saw gridiron gang in theatres and I almost shed a tear when Roger got killed I was like dam classic football movie and its too bad it's never talked about as much as remember the titans or Rudy
The movie itself is a #CLASSIC on so many levels! It’s a honor to have witnessed a breakdown of the film. Salute to all parties involved for making this possible. You are greatly appreciated 🙏🏾
Definitely in my top 10 top 15 films I love sports films and this one just hit sooooo different man love this video great content and glad to see Willie doing well 💯 88 for life
Great interview! I met Jade a few times and he was cool as a fan, very down to Earth guy, but that's just us East Coasters he's Jersey I'm Philly 💯 Need to see him more on the big screen, much love #Tristate
love how you gave him his much deserved credit . Definitely in my top 5 movies. Anytime someone says the rock cant act i point them to Gridiron gang. everyone in that movie made it so believable. It being based off a true story probably made it easier for them. Hopefully your interview gives him a resurgence and more prominent roles in the near future
So i'm only 6 minutes in but off the top its interesting watching Jade Scott Yorker take himself back to the emotions of the character and be so moved by it. Thats some real passion behind the character and his craft
Yo if Bone Thugs N Harmony ever decides to have a biopic movie, Jade Yorker can definitely play Layzie Bone. And also an Allen Iverson biopic too. Dude can really act too I remember when he was the young Jesus Shuttlesworth from He Got Game
I ain't going front first time seeing bruh...this dope that u got him to do this..didn't like this movie at first but the real aspect of it caught me...appreciate this...
I Love this movie...Great Movie Willie was amazing in this movie Willie had me cry😢 his acting touched me...Him & the Rock where great together & X....
Jade is such an underrated actor! I was blown away by his performance in Gridiron Gang the first time I saw it, this dude is a gem! I've watched this movie at least 100 times since then. Hope to see him in more films please! 🙌🏽💚🫡
Great comment! I’ve seen the movie just as many times 😂 when I ran into him at one of my parties I told him we must do this for the culture. This movie is timeless because of HIM. Hope to see him in more work 🙌🏽 hopefully this opens a few doors

Finally someone got an interview 😅 I've been waiting for someone from that movie to be interviewed. It's crazy how many movie reactors don't react to the movie.
This is 1 of my favorite movies.. they've been playing it a lot lately on Pluto.. at the end when they told me Bug got killed during a drive-by I was actually sad.. I was cheering for him that he would make it out of the game.. this is definitely a must watch movie and it's good to see wanna be tough guy Willie on the show 🤣🤣
Let's not forget he played Chet Felker in Snowday(2000) with Chevy Chase, Jean Smart, and the Amazingly Gorgeous Pam Grier. 1st movie I ever seen him in. I've been rocking with him ever since
Lord I watched this classic movie like numerous times. This to me showed The Rock on his more serious side as a character really. Jade played Willie well to the max which exceeded expectations.
I was in juvenile hall my first time seeing this movie. When I got out I started running back for the varsity team as a freshman. He truly impacted my life… saved me in sense. It’s crazy how a film or book can make you rethink life

Same boat bruh, I was 3 years younger.
Facts in broad daylight too with and people around and something about a speeding car chasing you down until it hits you is terrifying.
