Understanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money. A trader made over $350k in this recession influenced market.
I use both Fidelity and Vanguard. In my experience, the Fidelity site is so much cleaner, easier to use, easy to understand and customizable. I am new to options and have learned from your videos about covered call options. Thank you for making this vid and looking forward to future ones. 🤟🙏✌
Oh man Vanguard has a terrible platform. Can’t stand it… THANK YOU for watching and for leaving your $0.02 in the comments! 😎👍
@@AverageJoeInvestor😃 I came to this video for that very reason. I’ve heard through other trading videos that the Fidelity platform was solid and thanks to your detailed video I concur. I’m on my way out of Vanguard as the platform is unusable for anything other than buy and hold strategy. They must be losing major coins from this. Thanks. 🎉
I opened my brokerage with Fidelitg about a month ago to trade options and immediately hit a wall when going through their options chain. This helps immensely, thank you!
Awesome! Glad it was helpful! 😎👍
I just started to learn about options. I have a Fidelity account and this video helped me a lot. Thanks!
Appreciate this, i Use fidelity for my 'boomer' stocks and long term dividend ETF's and have yet to employ the options chains or use covered calls, this helps.
hate to admit i use Robinhood for gambling 0-2DTE SPY options....
LOL, thank you for your honesty! 🤪 glad the video was helpful! 😎👍
I like this platform for selling options out of my roth.
Love your video and I'm starting to use this platform. As a absolute noob to trading I find this video helpful for the UI but I'm still lost on the options because many terms were not explained. I'll check to see if you have a 101 video on options. What is 'in the money'? What does it mean to 'Buy a put or sell a put'? I'm that new LOL. Thanks again for the helpful video.
Thank you!! I've been wanting to know more. People keep recommending I do options on Robinhood because it's "easy..." 😑
Glad it was helpful! THANK YOU for watching and for leaving your $0.02 in the comments! 😎👍🏻
Those people are probably taking the other side of the trade haha.
I thought for putoptions if u didn't wanna buy 100 shares, but just wanted to trade the premiums you buy to open and sell to close. What I understood in puts is that sell to open means ur selling the underlying contract however when it's in the money and you want to excise the option to buy 100 contracts you buy to close.
Have done CC & CSP on TDAmeritrade, eTrade and Schwab. Of the three, eTrade is the best interface. Thanks for showing Fidelity and explaining the columns.
Is there a way to view options historical price?
If you had to pick 1 cover call dividend stock which would you pick. I currently have 5 but looking to add a 6th and looking for ideas
Thank you Joe, this is really helpful! I like the setup of fidelity, I do however find it a little less user friendly than say M1... I really enjoy your videos, they are always helpful and full of great information! Keep up the great work!
Thanks I just started to Look into options and this video really really helps If I start to make money I'll come back and buy a super thanks
Just going through some actual trades would help a lot. Somehow most tutorials seem to miss this.
TANKS YOU!
YOU ARE VERY GOOD EXPLAINER
THANK YOU for watching and for leaving your $0.02 in the comments! 😎👍🏻
Great video. Just struggling with calculating the intrinsic vs extrinsic value of the various call options? Wanted to try and understand what my theoretical break-even point is.
I learned on think or swim platform. How is this platform better or worse for graphs? I.e. drawing and making trend lines and such. This was very helpful as I find myself on this platform now
So if I buy to open to close it I buy to close? Thanks
I still don't understand how to read rhe bid/ask.
like what does a bid of 2.1 and nd ask of 2.5 mean. is that the premium? because the strike price is the price of the stock right?
Looking for a video on how to use the platform to analyze a trade
I have 1 question......when does your premium from an option gets credited to your account? Is it after the option closes? Unlike Robinhood....instantly.
It must be a setting but my cost basis is not updating when I sell calls on fidelity.
How do you figure out the premium
Does fidelity charges fess for options trading
Great video, is it possible to make one on how to predict price based on options chain?
Hi Joe, can you do a follow up to this video on how to interpret the Balances/Positions page and the Option Summary page. I use Fidelity as well and I just can't seem to understand my balance and having negative value on my options and how that effects my overall value if I were to BTC. I understand the difference between realized and unrealized gain or liquid value but I don't see that on this platform. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thank you
hi what are the fees and or commissions on trades
too fast! But thank you for the video!
I'm still surprised the big brokerages still make it so difficult to navigate thru options chains and the different strategies. I have my roth ira and rollover ira at fidelity and it's a joke.
Thanks for weighing in! I appreciate it!! 😎👍
U knocked ⚾️ out the 🏟️!😂🤣
Great
Mine doesnt loom like that.
Isn't it easier to use Robinhood?
How many Lowes would Rob Lowe Rob, if Rob Lowe robbed Lowes? Great video
Haha, thanks for the feedback! 😎👍
Selling to open for bid price on a call makes no damn sense! That would mean you would short the stock.
I wish you speak slower so beginners can absorb the whole thing
fidelity interface sucks!
How do you figure out the premium
