Good lord I had no idea about Bob Barter! I can't believe how long I've played this game and still learn new stuff nearly every time I play or watch a video. Thanks
Bro am I dumb? It was the opposite for me.. I’ve played for 5 years and only just found out you can click use on a potion to top up another one.. I’ve been going to the g.e to give bob my half pots to make them full for fking years…..
Tip: if you use an amulet of chemistry, you can use Amylase Crystals and Super Energy (3) to occasionally make 4-dose stamina potions. For me, this yielded some profit and was the right balance of afk + XP/hr + cost (profit).
Another tip to keep costs down. If you are doing farm runs to 99 plant ranarrs in all the herb patches for some passive xp and some decent profit to boot. Got about 15 extra herblore levels doing that on the grind to 99.
I use the Amulet of Chemistry for Stamina Potion making out of 3 amylase crystals a 4-does Potion . Cool video looks like the grind will be not as costly looking at it
Would you recommend decanting the 3-potions into 4-potions and then selling back to GE, or just selling the 3-potions? (Doing the 63-99 super restore route)
Potions & supplies fluctuate a lot, usually depending on updates that are coming out. Looks like over the past year Prayer Potions have been anywhere from 7.8k up to 12k a piece. So being at ~9.3k each seems normal atm
Prices for herbs change often. I put the estimated gp/xp on the Potions I suggested to take to 99, but I thought about leaving those out too. Prices could be different in 2 weeks
The skill calculator website has live pricing which can be helpful for comparing costs. I saved 250k by making prayer potions instead of super antipoisons to get to the level I wanted. It's not a ton of gold, but I just started back up and only have about 2-3mil in liquid.
Super defence are double the xp rate and two thirds of the price of ppots... unless you meant super restores in which case super defence are still faster and 10m less.
@@TheEdB0ys i’m not sure if i did this right but on the osrs skill calculator, it says from 63-70 takes 2589 super restores (when i fetched my accounts level). so does that you mean have to buy 2589 snapdragon potion (unf)? along with 2589 spider eggs? if so it will cost over 19 million gp edit: if i did this incorrectly please let me know, my current herblore is 63 and i’m trying to get to 70 so i can do song of elves quest but i’m dirt broke on GP
@@FANOFWAR34 Ah I see. You're looking at the cost of the supplies, but not factoring in that you can sell back the super restores when you're done. You won't be losing that 19m, and you don't even need to buy all the supplies at once if you don't have 19m to work with. You can buy a couple hundred potions worth of supplies at a time, then sell back the potions and buy more.
@@TheEdB0ys ahhh i gotcha. i only have 8 mil, do you think that will be enough buying a couple hundred at a time and then selling it back? thanks for the reply btw, your videos are very informative and i use them when i need help
You really made multiple comments about the pronouncing of herblore? It's strange. Usually the Americans are the ones who can't get over different pronunciations.
Many words have silent letters in them. There's an H in "when" but I bet you didn't say "w Hen" I mean you must be trolling. You used a word with a silent H well telling me it's daft to not say the H in a word
@TheEdB0ys wonderful question. Here's what I've thought of: a large potion in cauldron and said potion has been mixed poorly and has gained sentiency which will require neutralization to defeat. Neutralizing it will require various alternating potions throughout. Players would have to pick herbs (providing secondary farming exp) and create potions (primary herblore exp) and add them in which could reward extra herblore exp. It would perform similarly to a cross between wintertodt and guardians of the rift. Optional additions could include a poisonous gaseous spray as a consequence for incorrect potions added/on a periodic basis or the main cauldron could spit out small sentient glob beings which could be killed by pouring potions on them which could be a use for potions which are not currently the correct potion to add to the main couldron which could provide some herblore exp. Rewards from this minigame/skilling boss could include primary and secondary herblore ingredients which would add extra ingredients for potions as well as the minigame/skilling boss itself would be an alternative method for training herblore than simply making potions which would create more potion resources and less need to manufacture potions but the demand for potions would stay the same which may make traditional potion making profitable or at minimum closer to net neutral.
Like this comment to blaze some Dwarf Weed

Damn Unicorn horn dust is mad expensive, just 8 of those costed 11K gold. There has to be an easier way...
I would love to know the most efficient/profitable potion to make when growing your own herbs.
you don't think super combats are worth mentioning? buy limits are 2000 but you profit and get at least 250k xp/h

jealous of name. Nice video bro
would you use the Amulet of Chemistry Uni sounding friend? :D
