I wonder why RUclips had this video so far down on the page. This job solidified my thoughts of never owning another Nissan in my life!!! Great video though. The last video I watched was four parts. Almost a whole hour was spent on removing the old water pump.
ONLY channel that had the balls to show the actual hard part - futzing with that pump! Everyone else just cuts the video and acts like it was super easy... bullshit. Nice job, thanks.

Also big tip for the chain and trying to put it back in a skinny Allen key works wonders lol I imagine a hook would work the same way

It's not bad honestly you should see what needs to be done on a ford 3.5 for just the water pump.

Very Nice, I'm have this same car to work on it on Monday? Before taking out the water pump do I need to put the engine on timing mark.
Just be carful you need to have agood experience for that i dont recomend you doing that

When is bad water pump they have a whining noise or just over heat
is leaking antifreeze and mix oil with antifreeze I believe for the noise am not sure
My Infiniti made a whining noise several months in advance, finally the water pump failed. Prior to that I also noticed a strange odor coming from the engine that was apparent even sitting inside the vehicle. I know now that the odor was water mixing with the oil, & the water being at a lower boiling point than the oil, was being boiled away, which was creating the odor.
I believe this applies to 2013 thru 2016 Nissan pathfinder , correct? I have a 2016 Nissan pathfinder which I see greenish coolant on the starter. Do you think that could be water pump issues?
What are the names of the tools you're using to pick at and pry the water pump out with ??? I need them for mine and are they a certain size ??

Looks like the water pump hole was supposed to be down and they put it up
There is only one way to put the water pump in because of the configuration of the mounting flange... that's one thing that is foolproof.

@@BestCarFixes I'm in Manhattan. I Ordered the parts. i want to change the Thermostat, Water pump and Coolant temp sensor. I already changed the hoses, and the radiator. Doing preventative maintenance. I have a 2010 FX35 with 174K miles. ths water pump in the car is the original.
