    Thanks!
    Also, instead of typing 'clear' you could've press ctrl+L. (Maybe you knew this and just typed 'clear' for demonstration purposes)

      Which are installed and enabled by default in Manjaro. Even the up/down key bindings.

    Can you upload us three or so videos covering basics of zsh shell commands, (for absolute begginers even in bash)

      That's a good idea, I haven't made a video on basic bash commands yet

    how did you change the underscore of the word ".zshrc" in the "vim .zshrc" command. I have bolder underlining. Did you change the underline color or thickness? How can I do the same?

    • @EricMurphyxyz
      @EricMurphyxyz  Год назад

      So you have an underline but you don't want it to be bold? I'm not sure, as I didn't do anything to change it. It's probably a setting you can change in your terminal emulator. For me, I'm using Alacritty, which may be why it looks the way it does.

    auto-notify not popping up, any suggestion?

  • @vicmac3513
    @vicmac3513 2 года назад +1

    1. Do you know if auto-notify could notify everytime shell asks for a password or any other user activity?
    2. Do you know if ly would be configured as a lockscreen?
    Thanks to your superior content, I've started to use vim plugs, lf-uberschaisse, zsh4humans, ly, rofi, alacritty, bluetoothctl and soon scrot and brightness control. With this development rate, it'll be only matter of 1-2 weeks, before I install my very first wm.

    • @vicmac3513
      @vicmac3513 2 года назад

      Oh yeah and I removed vifm after learning about lf :D

    • @EricMurphyxyz
      @EricMurphyxyz  2 года назад +1

      1. Not with the auto-notify plugin, I believe it only sends a notification when the command is finished running. It might be possible to send a notification on user input prompt, but I haven't found any easy way to do it
      2. Not to my knowledge, I use slock for screen locking, I have a video on it here: ruclips.net/video/9wsiNubm5Qs/видео.html
      Glad my videos have been of help, good luck with setting up your wm!

      @@EricMurphyxyz Yeah I saw your fancy animegirl screenlock to get attention in cafeterias! :D
      If you're out of ideas, I'd request a video about tmux and direnv. I simply do not understand what's their benefits espcesially because tmux overrides the vim settings by default.
      Btw, which country you come from?

    Are you using Alacritty for terminal? But ZSH is also terminal? So you using 2 terminals in same time? Pllease, can you explain this moment? I'm little bit confused))

    • @EricMurphyxyz
      @EricMurphyxyz  2 года назад +5

      Alacritty is the terminal, and ZSH is the shell. They're two different things. Here's a good video explaining the difference: ruclips.net/video/hMSByvFHOro/видео.html

    A good list I don’t care about you should use but all the rest seem great and i will try except maybe the notify plugin if i can configure it to make a noise when it runs im definitely using it but not sure

    • @EricMurphyxyz
      @EricMurphyxyz  2 года назад

      You can have it make a sound, but I think you will have to configure your notifications, not the ZSH plugin

    Great video. Unfortunately performance takes a HUGE HIT when autosuggestions are turned on. Will virtually paralyze your whole terminal until it gets deactivated
