My dog runs around the house jumping on the couches, people, her bed etc or she lays on the stairs... she never escapes even with the door wide open since she’s TRAINED... & we just give her special treats for the anxiety...

I will explain why they freak out. Imagine being a dog, you can hear sounds WAY better. And the fireworks starts, imagine the sound × 5 (depends on the dog). And big flashing lights on the sky. Dogs don't know what fireworks is, so they freak out. So keep your dog innside, close the doors and windows in that room and play some musik. Don't comfort your dog, just pretend that everything is normal. If you hug and pet your dog he/she will think "Oh, so i should be scared". Hope this helped

Yesterday a random missing dog ran into my yard and we were watching her and some fire works went off and she was scared, she was really sweet and her owner came and got her :)
My brothers old dog at the time, he heard fireworks and got scared and pushed all the box’s away ran to the road, got hit by a bus and broke his leg. Almost dead, but thankfully he survived.
