i really love that you referenced that time nick was trying to get that shot of the liquor store and that semi pulled up and he walked up and asked to buy him dinner or atleast $20 to move lol
Ahhh so this is the weather and scenes I would have enjoyed had Emma not gotten mono. Sick. Definitely won't show her this one. She'll become depressed. Well deserved sponsor young man.
"That's my girl friend there, she kind of looks like a retired rock and roll singer." I love it! This video has an amazing look to it. This is one I had to stop watching on my laptop and put up on the 4K TV to really appreciate the incredible Washington landscapes! Beautiful. Alicia's shot at 20:57! Perfect.
I absolutely love the vibe of this video. And the black magic camera looks AMAZING! My favorite video shots were of that amazing blue house. That looked ridiculous! Love all the photos you and Alicia took, too.
Very excited for the Balls to the Wall™ period that is incoming man! Also catastrophically gorgeous video vibes as always, that BMPC6K (whatever) really does add a new level to things. When that first video shot of the mountain popped up I went "o shit" out loud cus' it looked so wavy. Sorry that the VC didn't behave itself properly for you, at least the Ektar did what it was meant to ahah! P.S. I'd give you at least a week surviving out there in winter, you seem like a competent fella
Thank you my man! Black Magic Deisgn knows what they're doing that's for sure haha. Kinda wanna give VC another try in some better light and see how it does. Got a few more expired rolls that I want to try out as well. And a whole week huh? You trying to throw some money on that bet?? 😉
Dope shots from you and Alicia! The video quality with the 6k camera is amazing, can't wait to see more! Oh and that POV at 4:19 is my new wallpaper :D
I love baxters channel as well! Also, the BMPCC6k is a beast of a camera and I love the BRAW as well from it. Love to see you bring it into your workflow and excited to see the locations you capture with it! These images make me annoyed with myself because I did not have time to get out and capture the fall colors at all this year. Anyways, love the videos dude.
Love the effort you put into your video compositions as well as the photography. That wide shot at around 4:12 with the sunlight coming through the trees looks so casually beautiful. These videos are gorgeous. Also, great flesh tones!
Nice video and great images! Great taste in music as well! I met Brae in North Portland on the street when he was shooting one day, been following ever since!
10:56 I remember driving through that neighborhood around! Damn Washington got dope fall colors! In San Francisco we don’t have that kinda color! Sweet video man!
HAHA! Love the ending! Very great job, your photos are amazing. Really makes me wanna travel more to get great photos. Really loved that night time neighbourhood photo you got.
love it. your videos give a ceratin vibe that reminds me of "that's it that's all" or "the art of flight". though from a more prohotographic perspective of course 🤟 keep it up
Master Brae, we mortal film shooters would be forever in your debt if you could do a video where you show where on the frame composition you are metering. It’s literally rocket science to me. Most landscape metering videos honestly suck. I’ve watched them all. Cheers mate!
Hahah man I wish I had some secret sauce to it. Truth is I just use my meter that is built into the Pentax. If I'm not shooting on the Pentax, then I just use the MyLightMeter Pro phone app. Wish I could help more 😅
@@BraeHunziker can't wait! your travel log/film clips are the most enjoyable out of all the film-related content reactor I follow on RUclips. It's a so good to see your channel grow and grow over the years. Most of all, I feel like you're a really nice and friendly and funny person. Would really love to meet you once I am around Washington area.
Dude this video looks so amazing! The videography is so great, the colours, the compositions, the aspect ratio… so damn good! Loving this new style! Plus the Puget Sound sign was a fun little touch.
Brae, I’m new to film and am getting used to manual settings in my Pentax SP 1000. I want to get into long exposures next, during blue hour, but don’t know much about reciprocity. I have a meter app that has worked pretty well for me this far for normal exposures, but I’d love to hear an explanation video of what reciprocity is, how it works and to apply it in the field. Thanks for all you’re doing!
Yo! I'd recommend doing a quick RUclips search about reciprocity failure. Lots of great videos that explain it better than I could in this YT comment haha. Grainydays has a good video on the matter. Cheers!
You know, there are a couple of reasons I like to watch your videos and I would like to point out some: - your approach is authentic…you make mistakes and it’s all good (and funny), -you aren’t too concerned to be overly political correct (slightly drunk etc) - your Subaru - the jazzy tunes in the latest video - well filmed Stay dope!
I have a Yashica Mat-124G also and the meter on mine has never worked. I LMAO watching her smacking the meter box. For god's sake get her a handheld light meter. Also she takes some really great images. I think having the foreground in focus on the Boo House was the right call. I think it would been disturbing to have them soft and out of focus since they were such a large part of the final image
Hahah that might be a good Christmas gift for her huh 👀 And the more I look at that photo the more I think you're right. Thanks for the feedback Sophie!!
omg my damn Rode wireless does the same thing, I've lost so many clips to choppy audio. Fav photo is 5:13, that tree looks straight out of a Pixar film with how big and wonky, yet perfectly shaped it is. Congrats on that fresh sponsorship, stoked to see where you take the videos next!
Thank you Sam! Yeah those wireless mics are great for convenience but the reliability has always been an issue. Lucked out finding that tree haha, thing is very unique. Appreciate you sir!

Now that being said, I have all three of those stored in a DEEP freeze, waiting for some special occasion 😇 Four years ago I've shot one roll (35mm) and last year another one (120) of those films (100s), and aside of some slight purple tint, those films turned out as good as new. Now THAT being said, that purple tint could be caused by Fuji developing chemicals. But I have no other choice, since that lab that developed those films is the only one left in my entire country that still does E-6 processing...
Oh dang! I feel like I'd have the hardest time determining which occasion is worthy of shooting those rolls haha. Very cool though. And wow, the only lab that does e-6?? That's wild 🤯
I cant get over how good the videoparts look im this video. Some of the shots look like literal movie scenes!
