The spine movement pattern definitely shows influence from Yiquan 意拳 and its ancestor, Xingyiquan 形意拳. Its so exciting to see how this style has adapted into the Japanese martial arts context, thank you for sharing!

I love Tikiken. True story of my life. I was at a friends party and was getting a drink for me and my brother. The crowd of people in that party told some guy to attack me and I used Tikiken to defend myself. The fight took two seconds and the man was on the ground. I got into a Tikiken fighting stance and waited for the man to commit, I moved out of the way and he went face first into the concrete in the garage. Tikiken was one of the 11 systems I used in my kungfu my Sifu taught me. Tikiken is the best tool to use in that moment of time out of my tool box of techniques. The other friend of mine asked me if I could get in trouble for injuring the man and I told him that I never touched him. Tikiken is a superior martial art if used correctly and as a Sihing in Kungfu I will always believe this.

Yiquan practitioners do Zhan Zhuang for at least 1 hour per day.

Taikiken is the Japanese version of I Chuan, based on Xingyi and Taiji. It is great stuff.

    免状の「王向済の流れ」という言葉が重みがあります。高木先生は王向済の孫弟子にあたる訳ですから。佐藤嘉道さんすごい達筆ですね。
