Love this! I mentioned it on another vid but id love it if you could take us through the history of competitive meta and how it changed with each generation.
Kinda crazy that Flame Byxis had such a similar combo in stock, i really struggle to think about any other stock combo that can even put up a fight against that
Back in the day some kid did something similar to this but it was a desperately thrown together Forbidden set up. He went from getting whooped to reverse jumping me and ten other kids beyblades at rescess, bro really had reached inside his back pack, threw some shit together and became unstoppable.
I don’t play beyblade, but I like the history around the culture you narrate through your videos so I always click on them when you post. Keep up the good work
I didn't know competitive beyblade existed until now. It's funny, I used to play with friends and other kids at school and I loved using a rather tall combo kinda for the same reasons as those you brought up in your video. I almost never lost
The mysterious combo that was mentioned in the end of the video is Gravity destroyer CH120 MF and it is very effective against Flame 230 CS and pretty much against any other beyblade combo in the limited format.
Now there are two questions that i wanna ask? 1) who was the creator of this "monster"? I doubt a collective mind of people just suddenly woke up and created this thing with the passage of time. Someone surely found a way to make this work. 2) Are parts from the Shogun Steel series allowed in competitive? If so, why were they never considered? I'm asking this because there is a spin track called F230 with is pretty much 230 but free spinning.
as a kid, I never understood the concept of competitive beyblade. Your videos completely changed that lol. Keep up the great work! My main question now is how tf did the first people find these techs and counters??? You can run calculations and quick test hands for card games, and everything is written on the cards or in the rulebook. In beyblade however, your performance is strongly dictated by so many factors including the parts you choose, their conditions (how worn down they might be), your launching skill and consistency, the stadium, etc. I just learned here that using Hasbro v Takara parts can have significant effects on performance. How did the first people to find a strat know what to test, and how did they know that it'd be a consistent counter?
One of the best video I see on your channel, I really like how you deep down to the metal fight meta and talk about combo that changed the meta, without you I would never know about wyvang dragoon
It’s a really cool combo! I love the fact that it’s so close to Flame Byxis’s stock combo. In some cases, it can even win against 4D Blades-that’s how good it is. An upgrade to this combo would be to replace 230 with E230 and use a heavier Fusion Wheel.
Im someone who dipped from MFB really early on. The meta when I stopped following it was dominated by stamina and defense types using higher track was like Earth GB145WB, Flame DF145WS ircc were winning almost all the WBO tournaments at the time(this was after the Libra ban). The attack wheels at the time really had a hard time dealing with it from memory L L Drago was probably the best one and Storm was considered good at that point as well. I remember someone posting a Flame combo with a short track (100/90) and F/S tip that was like the anti meta with destabilizing (not sure if it caught on cause I stopped following not long after or if better attack wheels came out which outclassed it) so its funny to me seeing Flame in another meta changing combo.
The way you talked about this combo was actually so interesting! Thanks for making a video on this! So interesting! Wanna see more different combos with lore fs!
i also found a combo heavier than the illegal twisted tempo diablo nemesis combo it requires the metal wheel from l-drago detroyer, the metal wheel from meteo l-drago under it with the ring and bottom from diablo nemesis under that this is also left spin
It's not actually just because the spintrack was plastic that it was so effective. (Mind you I'm only 3 mintues into the video so you might mention this later). It was because the point of impact was so close to the center of rotation. The part of the beyblade moving the slowest is the center, while the parts on the outside are moving the fastest. The plastic with next to no grip against the metal, the smooth surface, alongside that key difference of the impact zone being close to the center is what made it so powerful. This is why it lost less energy on contact and could drain so easily. It didn't have quite as much to do with the wheel as you would think. When a beyblade uses it's highest energy point of contact against another beyblade's lowest energy point of contact, nine times out of ten, the latter will win.
I have the time tempo bey and the only thing I changed was using the tall part that was mentioned in the video. Bro with the heavy top combo made it nearly impossible for the bey to lose.
Gravity Destroyer/Perseus CH120 MF. I'm calling it. The combo is so solid that if a bunch of people who didn't know about it were asked to come up with a strong combination, they'd probably end up proposing that exact combo. It covers a ton of matchups and is overall a strong meta balance type because of all the mode combinations it allows for. Definitely one of the most strategically well-rounded combos with great stats overall. Though I think that even with its lack of weaknesses, there are still definitely combos that counter it. I'm wondering if something like Bakushin Scorpio or Gravity Destroyer/Perseus SP230 W2D would fare well against it. In theory, Bakushin should grant solid high defense and good stamina, while Scorpio would come in handy for destabilizing anything equally as tall with a thin fusion wheel like Flame 230. SP230 would make it difficult for low attackers to do much damage while potentially helping to destabilize mid-low height stamina types. W2D grants good stamina, decent enough defense, and top-tier LAD that will help offset the tall height and make tornado stalling with MF harder, as well as making equalizers like Meteo Ldrago less consistent. For flat out beating Meteo, exchange Bakushin for Gravity. This is all just theory-crafting, of course.
Wow, I have the pieces to build Flame Gasher 230CS, but I don't have the CS performance tip. Man, so that bey was this powerful back then, huh? It would be a deadly victory machine in my hands if I managed to build it during my time as a blader.
6:25 Ive recently just gotten back into mfb, and i found a very good combo against the 230 beys, since i have both duo uranus and flash sagitario stock combos, and i found out that the scorpio energy (i have clay scorpio 145D) can effectively scrape on the top of the fusion wheels providing devastating upper attacks. Id never thought this was an actual strategy to counter 230 s😗🥸 On a side note the combo i tried was Twisted Scorpio 145 WD, with a metal face bolt🐣
Im pretty sure low height metro ewd, low height burn(good mold) mf and some TH170 based stamina types are hard counters to all the variants of flame 230. But they are just not used much because of their lack of versatility.
i came up with this combo if you want to use it eternal defense 145 track, dark bull metal wheel, hades kerbecs plastic wheel and earth eagles bottom this was unstoppable in my friend group and i still don't know what can beat it
As of last year or so, I've begun experimenting a bit with Flame 230ES as well. It's not exactly well-built for handling mid height attackers but likes to use beyblades near it to keep itself on-balance. I dont know how it'll perform against scorpio though so i'll need to test that
I always hear people say how good this combo is but I never see anyone run it in my local tournaments but I guess its because we don't really play with the WBO formats.
Kinda random tangent, but I myself am considering competitive beyblade, and have a combo in mind. I just wanted to put it out there for constructive criticism’s sake. The combo in question is Flash Quetzalcoatl 85 right rubber flat (don’t know how to abbreviate that). The premise is to take the already hard-hitting Flash fusion wheel, and make it as low as possible to make use of its sloped design for upper attacks. Is this a good combo?
Building an S+ tier Beyblade requires combining parts that complement each other for exceptional performance. For a left-spinning Beyblade, you’ll want to leverage high Burst resistance, strong counter-attack capabilities, and the ability to destabilize opponents. Here's a suggested custom build: ### **Layer: Astral Spriggan (Left Spin Mode)** - **Why**: Astral Spriggan offers versatility and adaptability due to its dual-spin capabilities. Its left-spin mode has strong counter-attacks and high burst resistance. The weight distribution improves stamina and defense. - **Recommendation**: Use the **"Over" disc** with it for enhanced weight and balance. ### **Forge Disc: Giga** - **Why**: Giga is heavy, well-balanced, and offers stability in battle. This enhances the Beyblade's stamina and ability to take hits from attack types. ### **Performance Tip/Driver: Drift** - **Why**: Drift excels in stamina and counter-attacks. Its free-spinning base helps avoid KOs while maintaining stability. It’s perfect for destabilizing attack types and outlasting stamina-focused opponents. ### **Armor: 2 or 0** - **Why**: Both options provide excellent weight distribution and synergy with the Over disc for improved defense and stamina. ### **Alternative Parts** - **Driver Option**: Bearing Drift (if you want even better stamina and KO resistance). - **Layer Alternative**: Guilty Longinus (for heavier attack power against aggressive types). - **Forge Disc Alternative**: Nexus + S Gear (for better centrifugal force). ### **Strategy** 1. **Against Attack Types**: Use the Drift or Bearing Drift Driver to outmaneuver and counterattack their aggression. 2. **Against Defense Types**: Take advantage of your stamina to outlast them. The Over disc ensures stability. 3. **Against Stamina Types**: Left-spin modes destabilize same-spin Beyblades, and Drift's movement can prevent a spin finish loss. 4. **Against Balance Types**: The versatility of Astral Spriggan ensures adaptability to counter any strategy. This combination ensures your Beyblade is capable of countering most competitive setups in tournaments. Let me know if you want any tweaks!
Oh and I did get scorpio energy ring in mystery box and I thought It's useless when I see your video and see that this energy ring actually good against flame 230 It was mind blowing and I immediatly check that this part is still in my collection and it is so next time I face a flame 230 I would known how to counter him
If someone's using that combo against me i might accidentally break the 230 spintrack cause ive broken Hades and another bey i forgot the name of with nothing but stock galaxy pegasus but i also made a mean balance type with the cs performance tip and that combo actually broke the spintrack that belonged to poison serpent i think that's the beys name. So yeah i get the beyblades spinning very fast where they sound like a nascar or a jet engine and it becomes a gamble every time i launch either of the beys either ones going to break or just get launched out the stadium or break the stadium and im not trying to I've gotten better at not having beys break the last beyblade i broke was from burst that being revive phoenix and that was a year ago haven't broken another one since hopefully but my beyblade stadiums have definitely seen better days. so in total I've broken one performance tip for burst 1 spintrack for Metal fight 1 burst beyblade and 2 metal fight fusion wheels one of those being hades fusion wheel and one engery ring that being hades. stadiums my beyblade burst evolution champion stadium the one that came with a gold valktyek and a spryzen reqrium and fafinir, luinor, and kukalkan as holes on the walls of it and a bunch of cracks all around the walls of the stadium definitely gotta try and fixit with some kind of glue or tape. My metal fight stadium has a hole on one of its walls and some cracks on the walls of the stadium and some near the pockets of the stadium so yeah i gotta make sure im not going to break something while participating in tournaments if i ever go to one
Hey y'all! What other competitive aspects of Beyblade would you want me to cover? And if you liked this video, please consider subscribing! :)
The Vulcan Fusion wheel
These competitive beyblade meta stories are great unique content and I think you should do as many as you can .
Love this! I mentioned it on another vid but id love it if you could take us through the history of competitive meta and how it changed with each generation.

Ironically its counter, meteo ldrago is that.

im loving these mfb competitive videos as someone who was once into competitive burst
8:40 wait a minute, arent tornado stallers a hybrid between a Stamina & Attack type? Its literally a Stamina bey that moves like an Attack type
i cant believe beyblade still isnt solved even tho production of new parts has stopped around a decade ago
Now there are two questions that i wanna ask?

F230 was legal but it has really bad balance and height issues! It was good on one specific combo with gravity Perseus gcf :)
@EddiehhBeyblade that's quite sad. I imagined the combination of two of the best tracks in the meta would also be great.
@@Otherface so the best 230 track, E230, is banned and for good reason
Need that Gravity Perseus/Destroyer video 😤
long story short, flame 230CS is basically a tornado beyblade

8:05 you have any idea, how fast I am boy??
This proves that spin tracks needed to protrude a bit more so that they can actually work.
Crazy how on the surface flame 230 wouldn't seem that crazy but when you actually start battling it you see how insane it is. 😂😭🔥
even tho it’s super light, Meteo L-Drago spin steal combos are only viable imo in mfb limited because they do well against Flame 230
Basically people pout because they can't beat a specific combo, honestly sounds like a skill issue.
Top reasons why flame byxis was my go-to bey. I never lost a stock combo battle with it.
thanks for making this amazing video!
i just loose 2 months ago to flame 230 cs in finals, ill try this combo next time...
I have the time tempo bey and the only thing I changed was using the tall part that was mentioned in the video. Bro with the heavy top combo made it nearly impossible for the bey to lose.
If you use hades kerbecs with 170mm (beat lynx part) RDF (quetzalcoatl part) trust me you beat the flame bixis 230mm CS
Yes. But in limited format, Hades and RDF are banned parts.

yes, maybe us a regular rubber flat instead for more control, but thats more of a prefference thing than anything else.
Right rubber flat is abbreviated as R²F
