Your comments about the two calendars struck a cord with me. The culture treats Sunday as the last day of the weekend rather than the first day of the week. Imagine if a person put both bookends on the same side of the shelf. How disordered would the bookshelf be? We need to recapture the idea that Sunday is the "First Day of the Week." Treating it so will help us order our week.

Thank you Matthew Kelly, for drawing us all closer to our Catholic faith and to Jesus. Many many years ago our church gave away the book discovering Catholicism, and I absolutely loved it and that was the beginning of me following you. At Christmas time I sent books to my whole entire family. I have always said if we explain why we do what we do as Catholics we would gather and keep more Catholics. This lent with the celebration of the Eucharist and deeper understanding that it is truly the body blood, swollen divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ. And what a blessing to have that to be able to go into any Catholic Church, and to sit with Jesus, who is physically there with us yes, we can be with friends and talking about Jesus and walking and talking to Jesus but he’s not physically there he’s spiritually there with us always. But when we go into a Catholic church and sit in that tabernacle is the body blood soul, and divinity of Jesus. knowing this even deeper this year, I asked myself why wouldn’t I want to go every day and sit with them doesn’t have to be long. So thank you for inspiring us always and I love Jesus so much and I love the Eucharist. I believe we should receive it with reverence, kneeling, and on our tongues, and I tell people on our tongues, because our hands aren’t sanctified, and we should’ve never been told to get them on the hand. And when people understand that our hands aren’t sanctified, and that Jesus said in Romans in my presence, every nation, then then why wouldn’t we want to do that for him who died brutally on the way to the cross, and that on the cross. Can we humble ourselves so to receive with adoration and respect our dear sweet Lord. We are people of the Eucharist. Be bold, be Courageous warriors for Jesus and his church and the world.

Our Catholic community celebrated life and creativity after Easter Mass with a reception afterwards! There was coffee, hot water, cold water, a basket filled with colorful plastic eggs with surprises inside, Madeleine cookies, grapes, chocolate chip cookies, a yellow cake, and two chocolate cakes. The best part was the opportunity to share in-person conversations and stories with each other! That's what community is all about; loving and sharing with one another! "Where two or more are gathered in my name, there I am in the midst of them." Yes, indeed! "The Messiah is among you!" "You are created in the image of God. Act accordingly!" Participate in the Self-emptying, Self-giving, Life, Light and Love of the Blessed Trinity!

I don't have a tattoo. I think it depends on the context. For example some tattoos are tribal such as in New Zealand or Native American groups. They signify belonging, status, etc. I'm not sure why this trend exploded recently (last 20-30 years) in cultures that don't usually use it (western culture). I think it is a trend. Some people like this way of expressing themselves and marking or commemorating events. For some it may be a way of dealing with trauma. However, I think that the majority uses it as just another form of beautification, especially since having tattoos was destigmatized in recent years in western culture.

Matt??? You sound like a good hindu! Why do you not mention the Gospel? You never use Jesus’s Name??? Not all Catholics avoid His Name do they? You speak of “saints” feasts??? Do you ignore the real feasts like Trumpets Tabernacles…..I hope you can be empowered by the Holy Spirit so you can be a witness of Jesus Christ! The true living Gospel of how Jesus became the Lamb who was prophesied about in the Old Testament. His Blood was shed on Calvary’s hill. He was dead and buried. We celebrate His conquering death and living!!! We are forgiven. We are His Born again saints! Covered by the Blood and Jesus is the only way back to our Father! We have a personal one on one relationship with Him. I pray soon you can receive His power to share on you sweet videos?????

Being aware of the church's calendar is a good challenge...my daughters have been going through the activity book in Sunday School and each month had a saint to celebrate. We missed the saint's feast day each time and they were sad about that. Hearing your call reminded me of that, and that I need to heed that challenge so that my family and I can become what we celebrate. Thank you for all you do, Matthew ❤

Yes, I have two tattoos actually. The first looks to me like the Holy Spirit in flight. I had it done in a henna two years in a row, each lasted about a month but missed having it so I had it done in a permanent tattoo but in brown as I feel it compliments, no regrets. I also spoke to my priest about it before I did it. The second one was something I was asked to do by a group of friends. The oldest has lupus and the other two thought it would be a good idea to do together for her birthday. We would gather together in the evenings and play Scrabble. So we had 4 scrabble tiles tattooed on us, each tile has the first letter of each of our names. I loved my friends but honestly didn't want to do this... but I did. I told the person doing it that I wanted it in brown, like the henna. I was assured it was but it wasn't. I'm glad I chose my ankle, did that because I knew in my heart I was not supposed to do this. Once I let go of my anger at the parlor for not doing the right color, then letting go of the anger at myself for not saying no, I came to have peace. When I did these tattoos, I loved the Lord but was not in a personal relationship with Him. 9 years ago I had a conversion, so I'm not really sure if I would make the same choices now that I made them. I don't look back because the Lord is not in the past but in the present. The old has passed away and I have been made new! Thank You Jesus! I'll just think of those tattoos as my battle scars... still love the bird and it's symbolism of the Holy Spirit.❤️‍🔥
