Really enjoyed the interview, although a bit short. As one of the editors for WAI+ I got to say joining the WAI Family was one of my best decisions ever. I enjoy every day I get to be in this awesome community.
Why do I watch people like yourself and Felix, and no major networks? You folks are real, informative about things we care for and are passionate about. Go Girl!
It speaks more to his wealth and privilege lol. There are many parents who'd love to home school but they have to go to work and kids can't stay home alone so there is that.
@@jamesdellaneve9005 Yeah, Nazi Germany, and then they never put it back. Schroedinger was unschooled before that. (And yeah, that was Vienna, Austria, but I just wanted to get that in.) Dayna Martin said that Radical Unschooling (her book) sells the most in Germany. But until now I've never actually seen a German that didn't have tendentious, average-redditor-like views (and so sure they're right, or even informed...) about it.
In Germany homeschooling is illegal but public schools in Germany are absolute crap. And because of the immigration policy you have literally every day knife attacks from illegal migrants at schools. In many schools for example in Berlin there are already over 90 % muslims in the classrooms, german kids are a minority. Private schools on the other sites are way too expensive. So the option for homeschooling would also be a real alternative here.
Ellie, Felix and all the others who cover SpaceX and NASA are the new reporters for the 21st century space program. I grew up listening to Walter Cronkite report and now a new generation takes the seat. Keep up the good work of keeping us informed!
Thank you Ellie for interviewing Felix it just showed how hard people are working in RUclips to bring us content my jaw nearly hit the ground when Felix said the hours of video they edited so good work Ellie and good work Felix
I was actually shocked how little it was. He said it's about 150hr per video between all of the team members combined (close to 30 people). So that's basically just 5hr per person on average. Most people work 10hr/day lol so a half-day worth of work.
Hi Ellie, good job. You could not have hoped for a better individual than Felix, I've been a subscriber of his since episode 10 or so and he's become a super-powerhouse and a real mentor/leader and conscience for Team Space. Keep up the good work, stay enthusiastic and most importantly strive for impeccable quality, accuracy and transparency. Felix is one of the finest examples of these traits and his success is due primarily because of that dedication and fearlessness. His wife is also totally amazing. Good Luck!
Man, 3 years Felix ! I remember when you just trying out for your startup line "So let's dive right in!". Thanks for being so inspiring and Team oriented.
I love your team space interviews. So yes more of them. I assume you know you are a gifted interviewer. Part of that is you are non-threatening and you come off as intelligent with thoughtful questions. My wife and I sit here literally grateful that you now get to cover upbeat subjects instead of, you know, disasters and serial killers.
For those wondering, He's talking about NSF NasaSpaceFlight. I remember the drama when they started copyright striking everyone and stopped people from using their videos. If you noticed, other people in the space community rarely use their footage anymore. In a way it was a good thing, because it is why he hired Chief, who turned out to be an awesome member of not just the WAI team but all of Team Space, because he allows people to use his footage. And helps capture special request because he is always there.
I love the work both of you do. Doubly love this crossover. Nice to see you shine a fresh light on Felix, & by reflection Ellie in her element. (P.S. really enjoyed the Scott Manley interview too).
Way to go Ellie! Nailed it with one of the most dedicated and enthusiastic promoters of SpaceX and the rest of this wonderful attempt to go where we truly belong, our solar system. Keep it up!
Welcome to the USA! Passed through Eifel many times as I lived near there from 2000-2020. Followed you since your first episode. Your early episodes were exciting because there was not much content back then. I too live in Florida, and catch the launches from the driveway. Thank you for all the great content1
Excellent interview Ellie and great to hear a fellow European has moved Stateside for all the right reasons. I wish both of you, the greatest success and please link up with this guy again.🇬🇧❤️🇺🇸🙏
Thank you Ellie for all the fascinating interviews with channel hosts that I regularly watch. The backstories are often as fascinating as the channel content. Thanks to Felix for being so friendly and open with us all too. Here's hoping your channel takes off like a rocket too Ellie. Just keep doing what you do, hard work is almost always the answer, plus a little bit of luck.
Yes I am a year late to the video. Thanks for the video Ellie and Felix! Always enjoy hearing more about Felix and the whole "space enthusiast" ecosphere. WELCOME to Florida Felix! :)
This was a fabulous interview with Felix. As I had mentioned before, you and Felix are my go to people. I am supporting members for both of you. And in answer to your question, yes. When you next return to Florida, or if Felix ends up in Oregon some day, get together and do more interviews. Keep up the good work. And thank you for you daring to step out and do what you do so well.
BIG MISTAKE to speak English with your kids in the U.S. after moving there from Germany. They will be totally fluent in 6 months and the challenge will be to keep up their German. I know, because I’ve been this kid and am glad my parents kept speaking German with me.
@@TheJttv there's a lot of powerful German companies and I can tell you from experience that the career ladder is flatter if you speak German. Also, the contact to family left behind is better. Furthermore, speaking a second language will make it easier to learn a third and fourth language. That's a fact!
Loved your video with you and Ellie. Happy to have you next to "rocket central" for live, on the spot reporting. Love both of your channels. Thanks for sharing!
So much respect for both of you and your respective journeys to do what you love. Wishing you both continued success and for Ellie to grow, grow, grow the channel to epic Ad Astra heights!
Thank you for doing these interviews I love to learn about the creators and their motivations. Sadly recently there have been a lot of space channels that popped up that plagiarize the content of real creators and use robot voices. I wish YT would put a label on channels like Felix's and yours:
I really enjoy Felix's broadcasts & was happy he chose to move. I was stationed in Germany as a Combat Engineer 42 years ago. I hope you are involved in future collaborations. Everyone brings unique points of interest & knowledge into the business of space.
Ellie, I have been following his channel for last three years and yours for last six months. A lot of you reminds me of Felix in 2019. Keep it up, begging is always hardest.
What is amazing about Felix is just how professional he really is. From the beginning I was always impressed with his drive to do it the right way- get the facts straight, don't wander into speculation or try to overdramatize things. His background helps me to understand how well he has been able to target his efforts. And I'm deeply impressed with his commitment to family in the midst of ambition.
You do an incredible job Felix and it shows in your following. RUclips followers are a group that understands when the research and insight are well developed. It's been great following your growth and seeing your skills develop. I'm sure this is only the start of a long and exciting adventure.
Ellie, I be been watching Felix ‘s RUclips channel and Everyday Astronaut, the Angry Astronaut and your RUclips channel since the beginning of SpaceX there have been other start ups but they are not as good as the ones I have mentioned , I also watch NASA channel and other large networks to keep up with things but mostly the four of you , you all do the best and stay neutral on your reporting of space news. Keep up the good work!
I really love Felix, he is so genuine and nice and I love his inclusiveness with team space. Great job on the interview and yes please do another interview sometime. Good luck to you with all you do.
I started follow Felix around his fifth episode. At first I said this won’t work, but wow did he grow in his role the first half year. Been following Ellie since 15k, so nice to see you growing in your role. Great stuff! :)
I've been following Felix for years. He has a very gracious aire and a knack for team building. I very much enjoyed this interview and look forward to any further ones you do with him.
Felix has the chemistry for such work. He is a natural. Great voice and very authoritative without being intimidating. Great content from his channel. Congrats Felix!.
I’ve been watching Felix since his first month online. It’s been a great ride! Also, his English is much better now than 3 years ago for sure. Edit: just want to clarify that his English was pretty good already. He only had trouble with a few words here and there.
