Thank you! I would say the strength of my guns varies between them but on the whole, I try to make them fairly rigid. They are not meant to be played with or used as props though, I just like building them. If you wanted to make them stronger you could definitely use pva type glue or quick dry super glue to reinforce the cardboard but that tends to discolor it and make it shiny. Another big factor of the guns strength is the quality of cardboard you use as well as how securely you can fasten edge joints. I also try to stay away from T joints if I can, they are very easy to put torque on and bend and break them.
How do you find out the proportions when it comes to making a video game gun into a cardboard gun that would fit comfortably into your hand? I really want to try to make the alternator smg from apex into a cardboard replica but im having difficulties with the size of the gun
For the few guns I made from video games I looked at the game characters holding the gun as well as the size of the grip and trigger guard. I then compared it to the size of my hands and make a guess. I have experience with real firearms so I can use that knowledge to approximate how large a handle or trigger guard would logically be and scale the picture from that. I don’t know anything about Apex, but some games have deep enough lore that you might be able to find the length of the guns if you look hard enough, then you can scale it like any real gun.
As a real Gunsmith I am quite impressed with the realism and accuracy of these! Well done! Do you own any or have interest in real guns, or just like making these for fun?
Thank you! I don’t have any real versions of the guns I have built but I do have some real guns. Mostly old milsurp rifles at the moment. I am making some short videos on a few of them. I have posted 2 already.

As much as I would like to make a Kar98k, I have a really hard time making the compound curves of wooden stocks look good. I can get away with it when the stock is only part of the gun, but any gun with a full length stock would require planning and 3D flat patterning that I do not have the software nor knowledge to produce.
Measurements for what? I get overall dimensions from the internet and then I draw a full size picture of the gun. Then I use the picture as a reference for individual parts. I don’t use plans for each part if that’s what you mean.
