5:09 that death scene is just sleazy, seriously, as venom, he can just like literally walk away from that. With Eddie inside, venom can just heal that impalement and they would come back up like if it’s nothing, that’s just a sleazy death right there, I was hoping for more of the explosion scene from the movie.
At the time this game was made, there were still thoughts that there would be a fourth movie and treiarch would make a 4th game to go with it. As early as the first game, the tie-ins have established their own universe. This "death" may have been meant to be something Eddie can walk away from so he could appear in the sequel game that didn't happen.

One of my few gripes with Web of Shadows was how Spidey's symbiote looked different from Venom's. Venom's was more of a blue tent, which looked way more cooler and polished than Spidey's purple tent.
That's what they were going for. In the original cartoons, even some of the old comics, Spider-Man, whenever he wore the black suit, had a blue tint on it to define the muscles and character design, while Venom had a purple tint, my guess was to put more of a visual difference between black suit Spider-Man and Venom, which makes more sense in Web of Shadows when a strain of the Venom symbiote decides to latch onto Spider-Man.
I remember dressing up as venom once since Halloween 2013 for the not so scary at Disney world, although most of the characters were freaked out by my mask

Wow.. this franchise has had a LOT of side scrolling Beat ‘em ups.. guess I never realized since most of them came out before I had a console or emulator that could play them. (I *DID* get to play the DS version of Web of shadows though.. Now THAT was fun.. a little Grindy the first time through, but lots of fun after that)
VENOM is definitely one of my favorite marvel chatacters. And for that reason I'm glad they have made him a anti-hero instead of a full on villain. Now I don't have to worry about him dying instantly or have the problem of I love them but they need to die. Anyone alse have that feeling with a character.

You can't have a carnage game without a Venom game (unless you're TASM 2..), and most Spider-Man games are one-offs, so they never get to carnage
