As always, Seiishizo hits the nail right on the head. I knew I was way behind in r5, so when solo r5 came out, I put together a speed team... then they buffed the rates! Since then, I basically have not left r5. I can't even keep track of how many grinds and gems I've used. Your best runes will always be used, even if you get better ones later. Spend the time and max them. Side tip: can be useful to buy the cheapest daily pack if you plan to use a lot of crystals on a speed team, as that basically gives 5% more runs. Also, if you aren't hankering for a particular nat 5, use dupes to look for violent gems in the shop, particularly hp%, which you'll want the most of.
First of all, thanks a lot for this Video! One thing I can add; do the Labyrinth, even when it is clear! You will get a lot of Grindstones there, too and it doesnt even cost Energy.
Heyy I completely agree for the 4-5spd grind part, I'm really happy someone is telling this ! I think it also belong to increasing the efficiency of your keys runes (high quad cr for example) Also agree to max (hero) grind all your used runes. Grinds are the easiest way to improve. Also (at my level), the more my box increase, the more I need these purple runes, even if that's not 110 eff, for additional key units, and grinds are a huge part of the value of the runes.

great vid, I always feel inadequate when it comes to this game cause I have some great monsters and don't feel like I have the runes to justify owning them so I will use this guide to try to improve them.
I appreciate this different Outlook we do as a community focus too much on speed I set myself down recently and dear and everything on my account for RTA stopped focusing on speed because I was getting crushed around the C1 level and focus more on stats and synergy and I tell you was much more improvement. FIrst of all, awesome tips as always sei 👍. As a returning player after 6yrs who started a new acc thats a couple months old and has been running bjr5 with my gf's and a raid mule acc for about a month straight now, I developed a personal preference in regards to raiding that may help those people that seem to not raid enough for the most efficient progress on their accounts. The preference is that rather than farming runes and then farming grinds and gems to improve those runes, I prefer to do it the reverse order: farming like a good stock of grinds and enchants and then hitting up the rune dungeons. This way as soon as I power up good usable runes, the grinds and enchants are there to use instantly and I don't have to go back and go through dozens of runes to see 'which runes can best use this x grind/enchant so that i can maximize its value' lol. I actually kinda relate my preference to something sei said in one of his other videos that went something like 'you don't build units and then farm runes that fit those units, you farm runes and then build units that'll use those runes well' :). 100% spittin fax with that. Essentially, I farm runes in order to make use of the actual progress: grinds/gems 🙂
I 100% agree with it your tips! Do more raids and USE YOUR GRINDS guys. I used to hate r5 too because they're tedious and always reliant on having a good party, and then someone would take 5min to reconnect, etc. But now with solo r5, no more excuses. The way I see it, grindstones, unlike runes, are ALWAYS an upgrade if you use it. So long the runes on your units have ANY stat that's ungrinded, there's easy room for improvement.

Lol it felt like u were talking directly to me n that video. Ty man I'ma try to use that strategy I really do need to use my grinds just to lazy. Ballet/lemmon tried to get me to use the rune optimizer but I cba I mostly just like the afk farming I'll never hit g3 missing to many units
when you asked for the threshold of what to grind i thought, oh god hes going to say only over a certain amount of spd but when you said anything you use or is high efficiency i was surprised because thats what i do. People used to tell me all the time that iff a rune has no spd then you sell it or iff it doesn't have much spd and Honestly thats the problem is that players that dont know anything tell newer players to sell anything without lots of spd which is what i used to do i lost so much progression because of this i literally sold anything that didn't have spd immediately all because so many people think like that. Ever since i started looking at efficiency i actually started to make bits of progress here and there but im still annoyed at all the players that know nothing that got me thinking like that
I think for many players as well is to even get to the point, that they dont even have a good R5 team most people (me including) have problem even farming so many runes to get Runes worthy of Upgrades.
i would grind it on at least a 3 roll into speed with high results, or grind it on a unit thats already fast but needs to be faster for speed tuning in whatever comp im using it for
I put leg speeds on all kinds of runes with low speed. High efficiency is what matters. +6 speed rune with high other stats, thats 11 speed...5 more than you would have had.
I think people aren't progressing because they don't max their arena glory towers right away. Most people would get the devilmon and probably the LD pieces. Glory points needed 180+500=680. At 4 points per victory that would be 170 wins. Assuming 100% win rate, 170wins/7days = ~25 wings per day. 25 wings per day before they start working on their towers. Of course, not counting those placement glory points that they added). And even then it is really hard not to buy a mystical scroll here and there.
Just me or after Solo Raid update, it's way more difficult to find proper bj5 teams So many people with scuffed bj5, Lorens dying, Collens surviving A few 28k Bale, even tho the room name is " bj5 32k+ pls " people just don't read :/
It's because we all went solo bjr5 bro. We don't wanna go to 65 after waking up just to raid, we wanna raid asap and it's way way faster and safer than 3 man.
@@nirorit i would have to disagree with a solo time like that specially during free raid. You'd rather go to 65 and have a 27 second 3 man for 1 hour than a solo minute and 30. You'll have way way more runs but you'll have way way way more runs if you can build a 27-35 solo consistent team if you can. I'll admit i have jaara and amarna who never made me fail but you can build 1 rightnow with lexy and lisa probably with 99% win rate

I would slightly disagree with the speed grinding opinion for a few reasons... 1) *Speed differentials:* Speed differentials are devastating at lower ranks. If an opponent is 20-30% faster than us, they are effectively dealing 20-30% more damage on us per turn (based on turn advantage alone). 2) *Rune Quality Gaps:* Following on closely from point 1), factoring in the difference in overall rune quality is crucial. Stronger players with higher average/top runes speeds have more flexibility in terms of what speed rolls to grind, since they can compensate for this with other faster runes (which slower players lack). Weaker players need to grind their fastest runes just to remain competitive. 3) *Resource Differentials:* Weaker players with mainly blue and purple runes are at constant shortage of speed grinds (or they just don't have any). It's therefore a tough ask to not grind their fastest runes if they barely have any speed grinds to begin with.
1) If you're slow there are many turn 2 options for you to run with. If not, using purple and legendary grinds to get max purple efficiency would help you close the gap faster and even cut some of your opponents' units. 2) Again you need to have consistency, building more units will make your box flexable. Not having 1 or 2 more speed on a vio rune. 3) Well no, your fastest rune is your fastest rune. You should already have a grind for it. and the rest of your 10 or so fastest runes should also already be grinded. You should also want to grind the rest because it makes cosistent upgrades to your units. But, if a rune with another roll let's say. you fastest slot 6 is a +18 and you are always missing just an extra edge or your speed tuning is off. Then yes if everything else that can be upgraded is indeed upgraded go and farm some more runes. Then come back and when you get the rune you need and others ofc, grind them.

Tbh i only keep hero or legend grindes when they are ancient, i would even use these on a 17 spd rune if it has good rolled stats, learned from playing 2 smurfes that 1st turn without stats is worthless
What would you sell in raid as a mid game player? One of the big things that keeps me from raiding more is that i will use the grinds and gems and max the runes i use them on and pretty quickly run out of mana.
Personally, I keep 4 of each type of rune in sense of hp def att % and spd, and for enchants some more. For vio will swift i keep more than that. But that's simply a personal preference based on what i need atm. As for mana, its not an issue for me since i stack too much anyways. I do know it could be an issue for others but in that case its just farming more in general.
Sell all flats except when its purple or legend. U may sell some purple thats collecting too much of. Keep all ÷ and spd as those always help. Better 15÷ than 12÷ know what i mean? But of course when they stack too much u rid of em. Set a day out of a month to sit down take time and organize sell and get some mana.
I use my grinds based on rune efficiency, what good is a fast mon that hits like a wet noodle or if it can't take a hit? I actually pushed into guardian arena in the past 2 months just focusing on powering up my highly efficient runes.
Make best of what u have now is only gon make u stronger. By the time u get a nicer rune and be needing a new grind/gem, u may not notice but u probably have already become steonger and naturally makes ur farming teams faster. Better performance all aspect od game so its not really losing deal using what u hav now and worry about later, later

am doing everything you said but still hard to do it as a f2p , i don't have infinite cristals so i have to wait for siege win or for toa reset to farm otherwise i would be at 0 all the time ( i don't buy mystic packs ) specially r5 it can consume your entire cristals in about a day
Focus on farming and never buy premium(nat5 is not that important only got a few of them back then). Be efficient and focus nb10 more than gb10 to build a bj5 and strong lushen rune. Got G1 on 210+ days and G2 on 300+ days (can do better)
@@nirorit in high level rta yes it's important. But to be able progress rune is more important. There are so many mediocre player that has so many units that cant even get Conqueror because they keep using their crystal on buying Ms instead of farming. (Eventually you can summon units on event scrolls.)
depends if you got any other targets, preferably i like to aim for innates. and in general CD slot 4 has less value in current meta due to CR fix and lots of units using hp/att slot 4
How long does it take to go from db11 to db12? I've been consistently doing db11 for around a month now and see very little progression. I'm not hardcore farming but I do farm around 1k energy a day.
@@CesNiJeh I do have tricaru, they can only do db11 at around 1 minute 15 sec avg. I meet the defense requirements but my damage is on the soft side sadly
@@jesee22 Get off dragons, and start farming Necro, and r5 until your verdehile is set. Also think about levelling your fire tower as it'll help your baleygr on r5 too.
i dont raid bc i cant really get 3 teams together that work consitently... so how tf am i supposed to get rune upgrades if i dont even have the runes to do that...
And my problem is getting into R5 at all since my guildies are BJR5 or nothing and I don't really have friends to raid with. Publics kick me pretty quickly for no real reason. Its not like I don't have BJR5 built, but its not the best it could be because I don't have the grinds/gems to use to make the team better nor am I getting upgrades through farming.
@@TheAce5399 that's where you're wrong. The only fights i have are ofcourse the bjr5 units. You already know who right? Besides that, my amarna has 2 sets of garbage fights, jaara has 2 sets of garbage fights and fria has 2 sets of garbage fights. All my nukers are on 1 will each and some are on rage and some are on fatal. You don't need to drool for good quality fights to make this work.
@@TheAce5399 rune quality and glory towers are needed here. Do you have those? Lisa can always replace amarna but lisa has stupid ai. Edit: the rage, fatal and will are the runes that need quality and not the fights.
I have only received one vio legend speed grind in like 1,000 R5 runs. I am saving those and most the legend speed grinds only for speed rolls of 22 or more. The purple ones I use with no restraint. I just don't see the value of having a crazy high atk rune with 10 speed over 9 speed when there are 24 base speed runes that are still have a +4 speed grind or less. People don't like these kinds of videos because nothing really happens and it is all talking. That was why IG used to have a smaller window with dungeon runs going on the background in a corner.
max hero means highest roll a hero can be. For example spd is max hero 24. attack max hero 32%. Bomb dmg Max hero 16%. Therefore max blue is 18,24,12 for the same 3.
its not that strict, the threshold is: would you use that rune on one of your main/useable units. and therefore the threshold is variable per account based on what runes you already have and the units you want to rune.
people doesn't farm as top players. build a speed r5 team can drain crystal too fast that is not really sustainable for a f2p player. is the quantity of farm the big gap. top players are already to 100k energy spent in this event with guild energy count while average players are at like 10k. so it's not only where you use your grinds, but how much grinds to you storage. the gap its just too high at the moment and probably thats why average player is saving the best grinds for best speed sets more than for efficient sets.
the idea stays the same, if you cant get upgrades in rune dungeons and you spend your more limited resource of f2p crystals in that. you progress even less.
Why is it when people ask the content creators or influencers of the game you always have the same response to standards and threshold for runes? Y’all obviously know but don’t wanna say.
I got around 10+ legendary vio/will runes PER SLOT which have no innate, are bad stats (lots of non grindables), and no matter how much i reapp, i cant convert them to any useful rune. I've already sold some from time to time. It's just terrible how many useless legend runes you can get.. Their f*cking useless and uses up rune storage space. Anyone else?
Again also depending on your terms of "a good reapped rune" if you are just looking for that triple+ speed rolls etc its gonna be a bad day for you on the reapps. cus those are rare. And yes its true there are going to be a whole bunch of useless runes u cant use. but try to see value in them when they have it. And simply sell em if they are bad :)

using any grindstone gems better than leaving in storage, youd definitely progress quicker than not using them

Here i explain it better for Seii, the vio cd 44% rune he meat to not only use it on a high spd rune, u can also use it on a very high efficiency rune

This video is for mid-end game players. If you're early game you should just focus on building consistent teams and progress through pve
BJ5 is relatively easy to make these days. and yea like mentioned is more for mid game players.

All my Slot 1 3 5 runes (even most of my rta runes) stay +12.

@@skitsu7317 For your counterpoints(?) the general theme is that you have minimum expectations of speed, rune quality and resources which are simply beyond the average 'weak' player (Ch1-F3 normal arena).
For 1) yes, there are many turn 2 options, but many of these are premium and out of reach, especially for weak F2P players.
For 2) you are correct about consistency, but when you are say consistently 30% weaker than your enemy in RTA, the higher speed _drastically_ helps you remain competitive.
For 3) _"You should already have a grind for it"_ I think this mindset is exactly what summarises my OP. Many weak players simply don't have the resources to even grind their runes. Furthermore, the fastest runes of say a F1-3 player might be a mere mid/slow rune speed of a C1-C3 player.
Simply put, consistency is a luxury, but *speed is a necessity for weak players* to become competitive. Consistency of rune quality is what generally separates a strong player from an elite player.
New/weak players shouldnt even be focusing on pvp ranks in the first place if they want the fastest progression
To be honest I think you completely missed the point. and you are way too speed-focused which is another issue people often bound people their progression to.
Again this is a wrong mindset. It's about improving overall rune quality, not speeds.

Tbh i only keep hero or legend grindes when they are ancient, i would even use these on a 17 spd rune if it has good rolled stats, learned from playing 2 smurfes that 1st turn without stats is worthless

What would you sell in raid as a mid game player? One of the big things that keeps me from raiding more is that i will use the grinds and gems and max the runes i use them on and pretty quickly run out of mana.
Personally, I keep 4 of each type of rune in sense of hp def att % and spd, and for enchants some more. For vio will swift i keep more than that.
But that's simply a personal preference based on what i need atm.
As for mana, its not an issue for me since i stack too much anyways. I do know it could be an issue for others but in that case its just farming more in general.
Sell all flats except when its purple or legend. U may sell some purple thats collecting too much of. Keep all ÷ and spd as those always help. Better 15÷ than 12÷ know what i mean? But of course when they stack too much u rid of em. Set a day out of a month to sit down take time and organize sell and get some mana.
So basically just don't stockpile grinds and if you need more grinds you just raid more when you need them.
Stockpile legendaries ofcourse. I also stock % of hp def and atk and spd of heroes because there are times you get the lowest grind.

I use my grinds based on rune efficiency, what good is a fast mon that hits like a wet noodle or if it can't take a hit? I actually pushed into guardian arena in the past 2 months just focusing on powering up my highly efficient runes.

simply having a max roll of a hero grind. hp def atk are 4 to 7 rolls on hero meaning a max hero = 7
for speed its 3 to 4 therefore max hero is 4 spd

Make best of what u have now is only gon make u stronger. By the time u get a nicer rune and be needing a new grind/gem, u may not notice but u probably have already become steonger and naturally makes ur farming teams faster. Better performance all aspect od game so its not really losing deal using what u hav now and worry about later, later

am doing everything you said but still hard to do it as a f2p , i don't have infinite cristals so i have to wait for siege win or for toa reset to farm otherwise i would be at 0 all the time ( i don't buy mystic packs ) specially r5 it can consume your entire cristals in about a day
true, but still those crystals that went into r5 give you more upgrades than using same crystals into dragons :P
Focus on farming and never buy premium(nat5 is not that important only got a few of them back then). Be efficient and focus nb10 more than gb10 to build a bj5 and strong lushen rune. Got G1 on 210+ days and G2 on 300+ days (can do better)
Units aren't important? They are MORE important than runes, at least for arena and rta.
@@nirorit in high level rta yes it's important. But to be able progress rune is more important. There are so many mediocre player that has so many units that cant even get Conqueror because they keep using their crystal on buying Ms instead of farming. (Eventually you can summon units on event scrolls.)

Only roll things that make sense. If it’s purple has spd and 2 flats. Only lvl to 3 if it goes anything other than speed sell. If it’s acc res
And say crit damage. Not worth rolling. Just make sure the stats line up to be efficient
You’ll sell 9/10 runes depending on stage of game. Once endgame you’ll sell 90/100 easily
i check for high rolls, if no high rolls i sell

depends if you got any other targets, preferably i like to aim for innates. and in general CD slot 4 has less value in current meta due to CR fix and lots of units using hp/att slot 4

That's wrong. Beast raid every week for 3 reapps and look for many runes that are worth grinding and enchanting in cairos then do solo bjr5.
ironically, my best effecient rune is a slot 5 vamp rune thats 119% effecient and it's still not maxed grinded yet.
How long does it take to go from db11 to db12? I've been consistently doing db11 for around a month now and see very little progression. I'm not hardcore farming but I do farm around 1k energy a day.

enchant is more of a limited resource, but still any grind you dont use is not a upgrade :) but be more careful with em
And my problem is getting into R5 at all since my guildies are BJR5 or nothing and I don't really have friends to raid with. Publics kick me pretty quickly for no real reason. Its not like I don't have BJR5 built, but its not the best it could be because I don't have the grinds/gems to use to make the team better nor am I getting upgrades through farming.
Focus on creating a solo bjr5 team. It's gonna be worth it in the end.

Besides that, my amarna has 2 sets of garbage fights, jaara has 2 sets of garbage fights and fria has 2 sets of garbage fights. All my nukers are on 1 will each and some are on rage and some are on fatal. You don't need to drool for good quality fights to make this work.

I have only received one vio legend speed grind in like 1,000 R5 runs. I am saving those and most the legend speed grinds only for speed rolls of 22 or more. The purple ones I use with no restraint.
I just don't see the value of having a crazy high atk rune with 10 speed over 9 speed when there are 24 base speed runes that are still have a +4 speed grind or less.
People don't like these kinds of videos because nothing really happens and it is all talking. That was why IG used to have a smaller window with dungeon runs going on the background in a corner.
Speaking of 22, i just got a hero will and it rolled x3 to spd making it 22 and is now 27.

max hero means highest roll a hero can be. For example spd is max hero 24. attack max hero 32%. Bomb dmg Max hero 16%. Therefore max blue is 18,24,12 for the same 3.

its not that strict, the threshold is: would you use that rune on one of your main/useable units. and therefore the threshold is variable per account based on what runes you already have and the units you want to rune.

people doesn't farm as top players. build a speed r5 team can drain crystal too fast that is not really sustainable for a f2p player.
is the quantity of farm the big gap. top players are already to 100k energy spent in this event with guild energy count while average players are at like 10k.
so it's not only where you use your grinds, but how much grinds to you storage.
the gap its just too high at the moment and probably thats why average player is saving the best grinds for best speed sets more than for efficient sets.
the idea stays the same, if you cant get upgrades in rune dungeons and you spend your more limited resource of f2p crystals in that. you progress even less.

I got around 10+ legendary vio/will runes PER SLOT which have no innate, are bad stats (lots of non grindables), and no matter how much i reapp, i cant convert them to any useful rune. I've already sold some from time to time. It's just terrible how many useless legend runes you can get.. Their f*cking useless and uses up rune storage space. Anyone else?

Again also depending on your terms of "a good reapped rune" if you are just looking for that triple+ speed rolls etc its gonna be a bad day for you on the reapps. cus those are rare.
