@@elmarsauro3245 Seems like one of my USB ports or hubs is making it short out like the video says. Sigh, I'm still just living with the random shut-offs😓
When absolutely nothing is shorted, this problem usually comes up with power strips. When not rated for high wattage, they give up on you and it is the same effect as having a low wattage PSU. This also applies to most surge protectors.
I had a similar problem with a PC replace both PSU,. power cable, new extension lead, brought a new keyboard and mouse in case one of them was shorting it. CPU temperature fine, the RAM, tried friend spare ram, still same problem,. In the end I gave up, an just live with randomly turning off every couple of days.

you thought the computer was broken when it was something else being connected to the pc and it was protecting itself from the broken faulty part that was plugged into it.🤣🤣🤣
I had a client who had random power-offs that I could not in any way duplicate on the bench. The problem was at home they shoved it back in their hoarder cavity of newspapers and other items that completely prevented exhaust air from going anywhere. This was 15 years ago on an OEM pc so there was completely no logs of thermals. Moral of the story: when you can not duplicate the issue at all then its best to test in the environment the problem occurs in. 95% of the time the issue is either a peripheral or the user.
I remember when this guy just started , 2300~ish views and i remember him by the "greatest technitian that ever lived" some time later now homie is still using that and damn near mil views per short. Great progress and good to run into you again.
Yep! Had this exact thing earlier this year and couldnt reproduce it my self. Something on the motherboard was shorting out, got it replaced as i just baught it and good as new. That was probably the weirdest issue i have ever come across fixing my pc ahahahah.
I had a laptop that would just randomly blue screen after being on for a couple hours. I had it sent off for repair about five times, they replaced pretty much all they could, motherboard/ram/etc., but everytime I got it back nothing was different what so ever. I would get it back, turn it on without plugging anything in, and leave it completely as they had sent it back to me, only for it to bluescreen in about 2 hours. I wish I had a technician like you. I never found out what the issue was, presumably because the company the warranty was under didn't care to read my reports that they had to just leave it on for a couple hours to reproduce the issue.
That's because a blue screen is a windows configuration error issue on your hard drive. Either a bad configuration setting with the operating system or your hard drive was reading badly
So, if they replaced the mobo, ram etc and the issue is still happening then what is the common denominator - SSD, Keyboard, mouse and charger. Could also be your wall plug or multi plug.
@@IdealConsciencenot sure where you read this orif it's a language barrier but this is totally false. Bodf is a sign that a driver is crashing due to either a software or hardware fault.
@@SalemTechspertshonestly it's always good practices to try turn the pc on without anything plugged in if you notice it crashing for no obvious reason
Knowing what’s connected to the device can be very helpful to diagnosis. I’ve had monitor specific driver updates cause random flickering that wouldn’t reproduce when connected to a different type of screen.
In all my years with post-XP Windows, a borked Windows update could easily account for at least half of every non-hw-related not-booting system problem I have worked on. WU has long been and still is such a fragile mess, even on W11 which still used the same underlying backend framework that has barely changed since Vista.
System Admin here. We see this behavior about twice a year on average, borked Windows Updates cause a slew of problems in large networks, even despite testing protocols. It's kind of a dread fascination game for us, release the Windows Updates to the user pool and watch to see if the tickets roll into the Helpdesk in the coming days...
@@szr8 This is honestly why I turned off auto-update. I'll stay a few updates behind knowing my computer is running just fine instead of jumping to a borked vers. Happened a few times to me I found this is one of the easiest solutions.

It worked
And my brother looked at me as if I was a genius asking how I did it hahahaha
Holy cannoli I think you just answered exactly what's wrong with MY PC!! Thank you. Mine powers off or resets randomly, and once in a while it won't turn back on, but then if I make sure every USB port is unplugged it turns back on, then I plug all my USB stuff back in, then like days later, random shut off again. Thank you for making this vid!!
I dont get it. So what is the main culprit ?
@@elmarsauro3245 Seems like one of my USB ports or hubs is making it short out like the video says. Sigh, I'm still just living with the random shut-offs😓

When absolutely nothing is shorted, this problem usually comes up with power strips. When not rated for high wattage, they give up on you and it is the same effect as having a low wattage PSU. This also applies to most surge protectors.
Yeah I was gonna say it's something to do with PSU or the plug
I had a similar problem with a PC replace both PSU,. power cable, new extension lead, brought a new keyboard and mouse in case one of them was shorting it. CPU temperature fine, the RAM, tried friend spare ram, still same problem,.
In the end I gave up, an just live with randomly turning off every couple of days.

you thought the computer was broken when it was something else being connected to the pc and it was protecting itself from the broken faulty part that was plugged into it.🤣🤣🤣
@@SaraMorgan-ym6ueno your dumb he said that he refering to doors on roblox
I had a client who had random power-offs that I could not in any way duplicate on the bench.
The problem was at home they shoved it back in their hoarder cavity of newspapers and other items that completely prevented exhaust air from going anywhere. This was 15 years ago on an OEM pc so there was completely no logs of thermals.
Moral of the story: when you can not duplicate the issue at all then its best to test in the environment the problem occurs in. 95% of the time the issue is either a peripheral or the user.

He got 18 million views on this shorts video
Yep! Had this exact thing earlier this year and couldnt reproduce it my self. Something on the motherboard was shorting out, got it replaced as i just baught it and good as new. That was probably the weirdest issue i have ever come across fixing my pc ahahahah.
“But it randomly powers off. Something my brain can relate to”
you just summoned the entire Doors community

thats so fruity
Yes
I had a laptop that would just randomly blue screen after being on for a couple hours. I had it sent off for repair about five times, they replaced pretty much all they could, motherboard/ram/etc., but everytime I got it back nothing was different what so ever. I would get it back, turn it on without plugging anything in, and leave it completely as they had sent it back to me, only for it to bluescreen in about 2 hours.
I wish I had a technician like you. I never found out what the issue was, presumably because the company the warranty was under didn't care to read my reports that they had to just leave it on for a couple hours to reproduce the issue.
Ever thought it could of been a power supply manufacturing malfunction? Or maybe read up about the blue screen error code?
That's because a blue screen is a windows configuration error issue on your hard drive. Either a bad configuration setting with the operating system or your hard drive was reading badly
So, if they replaced the mobo, ram etc and the issue is still happening then what is the common denominator - SSD, Keyboard, mouse and charger. Could also be your wall plug or multi plug.
@@Noon12631st thing I thought of was the PSU.
@@IdealConsciencenot sure where you read this orif it's a language barrier but this is totally false. Bodf is a sign that a driver is crashing due to either a software or hardware fault.

Imagine if the problem was because of an auto update and not the dock 💀
