Hi, I love watching you episodes! I am not a seasonal knitter, or seasonal watcher. I am very happy every time you put up an episode! I don't want to see a staged version of your podcast or anyone's for that matter. I watch as I knit while on the treadmill, I love the episodes that last over an hour! I just want to hear about yarn, knitting, crafting, and cats are always a bonus! Whatever you want to share is good with me. I always feel bad when people complain, or criticize. I am grateful that you are willing to share your time and talents with us! So thank you for doing these! I look forward to each and every one.
I second this. I feel so bad when people feel they have to apologize for a time they spend with us, and do because they just love knitting. Thank you for all you do, and share. -Kimberly
I just love knitting and I have no real life knitting friends to share it with so I find podcasts a nice way to plug that gap for me personally. I love hearing about other peoples projects and getting updates on what they’re enjoying or struggling with, and getting recommendations for new patterns, yarns and tools!
Just over here to share I feel this too, as a new podcaster. I look forward to your podcasts, but I think not every podcaster is for every one. I prefer low to medium energy, information and life chat, etc. and I can’t handle extreme bubbliness, pure analytical, or the folks putting on a show. I am who I am, and I do a very frank and honest podcast. I know not everyone loves that, but if it’s for me, and that’s why I started it, than this is building a community of folks, and it’s naturally going to reflect my own way. I’m an epidemiologist and a nurse and I had to leave during the pandemic because of how awful people could be, and I learned that I’d rather have the good ones around me, small though they may sometimes seem in number, because the support is actually massive from folks who love you for who you are! Keep on, please. I for one, just one very early retired 40 yr old in Indianapolis, look forward to learning from you, listening about your process and designs and life, and in general just Che+king in!
I love your acquisitions. I also love your podcast. Your cats are too cute! I think you film when you want..I so appreciate people taking the time to record and you can tell what's genuine and who's out there pushing an agenda. Genuine podcast like yours is just like a sit and knit- it's lovely. I hope you'll keep doing it. You have a beautiful sense of color and style. All the best, Kimberly
Great podcast, love all your jumpers! The combination of colours on the MFT sweater is fabulous and your mohair stripe jumper is just gorgeous. I really enjoyed your cats taking part in the podcast. Don’t worry about regularity, it’s lovely to see you whenever x
The best podcasts are from those who love knitting and just talk about it, I’m super nosey so love the life chat, and I love to see what other people are knitting as I get inspired and start wondering about combos. Oh and acquisitions, you don’t need to explain or justify it, I’m trying to reduce my stash this year and only buy yarn for a project to stop impulse buying, which is why my stash is so big. Anyway, I think what I mean is, just do you. I love the mohair stripe jumper would also make a gorgeous cardigan.
Kitties make all podcasts perfect! I don't always watch yours, but I do from time to time and I enjoy them.If I feel someone is going on and on about something I just scroll ahead, I"m probably not alone in that. I do love hearing about and seeing what others are making, looking forward to see what you decide to do with that gorgeous mohair!
Lovely episode! Really resonated with your joy in visiting special yarn shops in person. And I still very much enjoy knitting podcasts--especially ones that are "chatty," where I can watch/listen as I knit and still be able to look down at my work. I do feel like instagram itself can be wildly overstimulating, so even if I do still find inspiration there, it's more "diluted." But when I watch podcasts regularly (I keep a short list that has whittled down over the last few years), I feel consistently inspired in my making and feel like there's more of a sense of camaraderie.
Another enjoyable video, thanks! What fun visits to yarn shops you had! As far as podcasts go, I watch a fair number of them. I’m retired and work from home part time. Podcasts keep me company while I’m working or doing other things. My criteria for those I watch: pleasant and enjoyable host, great knits (especially sweaters) and educational in some way (techniques, new yarns, etc). Yours ticks all the boxes, with a bonus - kittens!
Hugo and Molly are adorable!!!!!!!! I love seeing them get snoopy! 😹 Your striped sweater is beautiful, Lizzie! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I now live in the middle of nowhere Arkansas USA and have not been in a LYS in a long time!!! As far as podcasts, your type of content and format are my faves! Very enjoyable, thank you. 🌼🌸🌻
So happy to hear about your knitventures. I think traveling and visiting a yarn shop is such a good way to remember your trip and also help your realize you participate in a craft as old as time that spans the world yet is still exciting and new. I love your podcast and your perspective. My favorite type of content is vlogs, I love seeing and learning about others lives and how they are similar or dissimilar to mine. But vlogging is not for everyone. I think it’s most important for content creators to make the content that they enjoy in a way they can be most genuine. And the views will follow. If you’re not enjoying it, it will show. So however and whenever you want to film, I’ll be here watching. 😊
Your podcast is one of my select few and the fact that it isn't every week or in a set time frame makes it all the more exciting when I see one pop up!
I love to listen to your knit ventures while I knit a sweater actually it is my first ferment and I am very excited 😊 aside from that i love the sweater for your partner and you. Also I am team bump and the pastel colors of the mohair is very very lovely i love lo listen when people share their adventures looking for yarn shops. I am like that too.
I love knitting podcast. Yours is one of the top ones I always watch. When you're feeling it again, we'll be here. Life has seasons. I enjoy your style and listening to you. I am about halfway through The First Cardigan and everyone at my knitting group loves it.
Another great episode 🤩 I’m team bump, it looks great! I love knitting podcasts and can’t get enough. I love your attention to detail style, keep doing what you’re doing for me 😁
Love your podcast it’s always so interesting. Can’t wait for you mohair with bumps jumper to be released, it’s gorgeous and I can use all my scraps of mohair up - did you hold your mohair double? I don’t watch as many knitting podcasts as I used to but enjoy yours because you have good ideas and what you make always looks so neat. You are fun but not crazy in our face so it’s inspiring and relaxing. Your cats are so cute. Thanks again x
Happy belated birthday! The hand dyed mohair yarn is stunning! I really recommend looking at Emilie Luis / Atelier Emilie’s patterns. She has lots of stockinette patterns which have just a little bit of interest, and most use mohair. I have recently made the Capbreton, and I adore it!
Thanks Lizzie for a lovely podcast. Love your new design, great idea.I really enjoy your type of podcast and I don’t tend to watch round ups of the past year as if you have regularly watched that person throughout the year you have seen and followed their projects already. I enjoy a casual catch up like meeting a friend for coffee and knit. There’s to much pressure for everyone to try to be different but just be yourself as it works!.
Hi, loving your videos. I find the podcasters who post weekly too much when everyone is doing that its hard to keep up. Knitting is a slow craft and we don't do it for content. I find youtube is better than other social media, the videos feel like catching up with a friend and chatting about knitting so good. Video when you feel like it, its your channel and your projects. Keep this space for your rest and enjoyment. Also starting a semper sweater at the moment and the constructions is really fun so far for the v-neck. I really recommend this pattern.
Thank you for another great episode! Love your striped sweater design. I think the purl bumps look so good and your color choices are beautiful. I love knitting podcasts! I am at home due to cronic illness. And knitting is what keeps me sane. I watch a lot of podcasts. It gives me so much inspiration and also it's like I have people over for knit & chat. Because I am at home I don't meet many people during my week. And through the knitting community (podcast and instagram) I feel like have friends all over the world. I love your podcast, Lizzie. So thank you for making episodes when you can and feel like it😊
Oh my God! I love your new design. Have been looking for a sweater to use up my mohair scraps but haven’t found one I like until now. Would love to testknit this for you!
I still love watching podcast and even the original format. You have a very pleasant voice wich is one of the most important things for me because I listen more than I watch 😂
Glad to see you again. You’re so fun. I love your attitude and your knits. I’m completely fine with with the content. You’re is one I look forward to and haven’t deleted from my watching.
Hello Lizzie, new viewer here! I just found your videos and love the vibes (and your cat!!). I was re-doing the ribbing and bind off to a vest while watching, thanks for keeping me company with this lovely video :)
Love the Danish mohair. A Lento sweater would only take two skeins. Then a Birds of a Feather shawl with the third. I also see a long warm sweater/cardigan.
Prefer the sleeve without the stripe. And just found your channel. Love it. The format is fine to just share when you have things you want to share. Always is best when you enjoy it!
Great episode. I just finished a Single Malt for my hubby. I never use superwash but this time did and the stitch pattern made it so it did not stretch a lot. Happy knitting!
I watch knitting podcasts almost everyday, I love them. They are very inspiring! And, compared to instagram, I feel like it's easier to play with/fight the algorythym. I subscribe to channels that I like and don't miss out
Hi Lizzie, so nice to experience your in-person yarn-buying joy! Will be interested to see the new mohair stripe jersey when it's finished. I would think it would be really easy to omit the purl rows if one preferred it that way? Also, your green boyfriend jersey looks really great on you - the colour and the fit. I enjoy podcasts that are more discursive about knitting topics - for example, what you have to say about podcasting at the end there. Podcasts just showing endless projects with nothing fresh to say about them I tend not to watch. I certainly watch fewer now than in lockdown years, and also as I become a more experienced knitter (4 years now) I'm more selective. I knit only in rustic wools so your podcast is a bit of an outlier for me! Other UK podcasts I never miss are OrchidsHeart and The Thoughtful Knitter but these contrast with another big favourite - Girl Meets Yarn (a US podcast). They couldn't be more different! What you all have in common though is authenticity and an interesting and thoughtful outlook.
Hi Lizzie, sorry a bit late catching up with your latest podcast. I personally think that the pattern from Novemberknits would look great with that mohair..it's a bit more interesting than plain stockinette. I might make it myself too actually! X
I think your hand dyed mohair could make a lovely cardigan because its fairly neutral with lovely bits of color so it seems like it could be worn with a lot of things
Hi, I love your podcast the way they are. I feel like some people are changing things up because that works for them but I do prefer to watch sit down videos the most. I feel like maybe some people had a lot to watch during December from vlogmas and was a bit overwhelming for me all well. I feel like some needed a break and will be back when spring comes around lol just my opinion
I always enjoy your episodes; for me, the listener whilst crafting n not looking 100%, you sounded a bit more relaxed and playful ish lol. I enjoyed it very much (still I guess lol)
I also bought some hand dyed suri from Zakami and want to use mine in a Monday sweater to let it shine, but you seem to have a lot of v-necks in your options so maybe go for that ! Love love love the new jumper design with the mohair, i think the bumps set it apart from usual stripey patterns. I wonder how it would work with more neutral mohair scraps, and how different it would look from this colourful sample, so ill keep an eye out for future (tester) versions !
I am currently knitting the Semper V-neck and think it would be stunning using your hand-dyed mohair. I really like your podcast and watch a few others as well. I think a regular schedule is helpful because otherwise I find I’m in danger of missing some amongst all the “noise”.
I totally know what you mean. I feel like my December and January views on my podcast typically take a nose dive and this year seems worse than last year. I don't think you need to apologize for the time between episodes but I do understand the inclination to do so.
So, I watch consistently year-round, however, I've found that I subscribed to too many people and so recently I pared down the number of podcasters I listen too. It was making me anxious trying to keep up with everyone. Now, I have a list that I think is manageable.
Love your podcast! Suggest 'Mousseux' by Espace Tricot for that lovely hand dyed mohair! I'm knitting it at present in a light blue mohair (held single) and I'm in love with it!
You're new design is so pretty! Did you use up all the first 3 colors of mohair or will you add stripes to sleeves too? Your kitten in the back ground was adorable, though I did feel some fear for your coffee a couple times (ha)
Your sweaters are amazing! What about the Dartmoor sweater v neck by Caidre? It’s has a thinner v and looks to be a thinner sweater, mohair is so warm, you would be able to wear for spring and fall 🤗 She’s running a test call right now
@@HiveKnitsNatters thank you! The Soho blouse by Caidree would be a great pattern for your mohair. I've also been lusting after Sysleriget yarn, particularly their fat mohair 😍.

I honestly watch/listen to podcasts while cooking, cleaning and knitting, that is what I love about them the multitasking ability
Don't go anywhere Lizzie! Love the podcast, always have. Love that you 'go with the flow', it's not forced, you do it as and when. I really enjoy it!

I love your podcast, take your own pase to film them, if you feel like it❤️

RUclips must be draining at times. Go with the flow and film whenever it feels right. Also loving the new design striped mohair jumper
Make Pete another Single Malt and keep the green for yourself. On your other sweater, I think the purl bumps make the sweater look more casual.
I always enjoy your episodes; for me, the listener whilst crafting n not looking 100%, you sounded a bit more relaxed and playful ish lol. I enjoyed it very much (still I guess lol)

I'm new to your channel. Very interesting content.
Welcome!
You're new design is so pretty! Did you use up all the first 3 colors of mohair or will you add stripes to sleeves too? Your kitten in the back ground was adorable, though I did feel some fear for your coffee a couple times (ha)
Thank you! No, it didn’t use much at all (sort of against the point but oh well!). I need to decide if I want the stripes on the sleeves or not….
Are you going to write up the pattern for the bump/stripe mohair sweater? I hope you do!
Hey Lizzie. Question. Would putting elastic in the neckline solve the issue with Pete's jersey?
That’s a great idea, I have some clear sewing elastic so maybe I’ll give that a try before embarking on sweater surgery…..
Your sweaters are amazing! What about the Dartmoor sweater v neck by Caidre? It’s has a thinner v and looks to be a thinner sweater, mohair is so warm, you would be able to wear for spring and fall 🤗 She’s running a test call right now
Yes, that’s another great shout!
Check out the Putney sweater from Amy Lowden
Thanks!
Knittymcpurly podcast has a sweater that you might have a look at is a striped one,
Or the lento sweater
Thank you 🤍🤍
So what exactly did you do for your 2x1 bind off?
I used this technique: instagram.com/reel/Cikci3KjmJ9/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
@@HiveKnitsNatters thank you! The Soho blouse by Caidree would be a great pattern for your mohair. I've also been lusting after Sysleriget yarn, particularly their fat mohair 😍.
Balloon cardigan?
