Thanks for the video and for refraining to add some deafening music, as so many people do. Nevertheless, some commentaries on your part would have been useful, as your hands are often hiding (perforce) what you do. No wonder yours is the only video I could find on disassembling that laptop, since it's such an amazing endeavour. Even to someone with your obvious experience, it seemed difficult! I wanted to find such a video, because I meant (if possible) to upgrade my RAM. I am flabbergasted to find out through your video, that in order to complete what should be such an easy task, one must totally dismount the computer, flip over the motherboard and then at long last be able to reach the RAM! And I daren't think what reassembling the computer would be like (a pity you didn't show that). Is there really no easier way to access the RAM and upgrade it? What possessed Packard Bell to conceive such an awkward system? As we say in French, why make things simple when you can make them complicated? Thanks for reading me and perhaps answering me. Anyhow, I'll enjoy watching your other videos and subscribe to your channel.
MARINA HELLER Hi, and thanks for the advices. And sorry, but there is no easy way for removing one of the sodimm memory. There are many laptops on which one, or both, of the memory slots are hidden. I don't know the exact reason for this... maybe for better design, or cheaper build... Thank You for the subscription, I'll try to make more and better videos in the future.
do you have any clue on how to find to cable of the screen to the mother board on that series ? Im facing real issues with a regular white screen each time i don't move my laptop carefully they told me on a forum that this issue might be due to an unplug cable or something like that or it is plain sign that my screen is dying slowly...
Does somebody know whether the RAM is only accessible if you dismantle the mainboard? or can you reach it through the small lid from underneath? Regards, JW
I have that same laptop. I've got this laptop around October 2013 and Since I upgraded to Windows 8.1 back in December 2013. It got Windows 8.1 Update 1 back in April 2014. Since May 2015 My User Account on My Laptop got monitored by Family Safety due to doing a lot of bad things about My 3rd Grade Teacher on the Internet. It got broked in the midnight as of January 9, 2016. I've also haven't watched My Little Pony Equestria Girls Friendship Games :( Since I'm also feel crying about this. :'(
Hi, i know this is a bit late (3 years) but taking out the motherboard is causing me problems as it wont budge even after taking out that taped cable on the topleft corner, there seems to be 2 connected cables from the fan that i cant reach and on the disc drive side, any thoughts on how i can take it out?
You should be able to pull out the CD ROM right away when you have removed the middle screw on the bottom. If you leave it in, you cant lift out the PCB.
I know this video is very old now, but does anyone know if you can take the keyboard out without undoing the whole laptop? I have some broken/missing keys and want to repair it :) Thanks!
@@nashville500It's probably capable of doing this, but why would you? This laptop is literally slower than some good Late era Windows 7 laptops. I'm not even joking about this, i had this laptop and an older generation Windows 7 era Packard bell, which is intel based and guess which one was faster? YEP! The older gen Packard bell, i can't believe it either.
Honestly, I don't understand why you would even want to repair this brick of a laptop. Heck, it's literally slower then most previous gen laptops. It's not responsive and snappy on both Windows and Linux. Whoever still has this laptop, just take the RAM, sell it or re-use it and get a new mid-tier one. (Why do i have such a vendetta against the TE69KB? Well, it's because it's the same laptop my dad bought and i even had to deal with the same model at my IT workplace a few days ago. It can't even play 1080p 60fps video, be it in a web browser or media player. And before you ask, no. Not even 720p 60fps. It's better, but not tolerable enough.)

THis video would probably be more useful to both novices and experts alike if you wrote what component you were removing at each stage.
I Really needed this video today:)
Cheers!

always 1e watch youtube :)
Be careful with the keyboard cable. It rips easily.
Too late... I hate this piece of garbage. You have to remove basically everything to get to the second RAM Slot

I have the same question. Any idea? The small lid doesn't seem to fit a RAM stick when you want to pull it out. :(
@@cYniKa0815 I managed to add RAM by just opening the lid. I think to get access to the other RAM slot you need to remove the mainboard from the case.

It unclips from the front and will pull up. Be careful with the cable as it rips easily.
How to reconnect the keyboard when it's off
Does the motherboard support M.2 NVMe SSD?
Don't be silly. It's far too old a laptop. 😋
@@ProfStuartHalliday how about virtualization?

tank you please display demonte
HASAN DEMİRTAŞ Sorry, i don't have the laptop anymore. If i got my hands on the machine again, i'll do a display dissasembly.
display demonte ? =(((((
Fuck laptops. The worse machines ever. Especially the cables inside are ridiculously thin. They are designed to break. End of story.
Not a great video, the battery in this laptop fits in a weird way and the video does not clearly show how to remove it.
