I haven't watched season 15 but seeing this Video I like Mer with Deluca. Yes her & Derek were made to be soulmates but he did choose other things over her so yea he wasn't perfect. Mer can have another great love & who's to say it can't be Deluca. And for everyone saying Deluca is her rebound or fling until her next great love comes around. Sorry but NO that was RIGGS he was her rebound as much as I loved them together they weren't meant to be. Mer & Deluca could be.

I think Andrew wasn't what she was looking for, but exactly what she needed when he came along. I would say the same goes for him. Meredith was probably the last person on his radar. She was just his boss. Andrew isn't like the men she's gone for in the past who are hung up on past girlfriends/wives, who doesn't push for more but doesn't play games either. With him, it's either all in or all out, but you can't keep running either. Meredith spent half the season hiding because she was terrified to really feel something for him. This was a relationship that didn't start with a hook up or bonding over deceased loves.
I actually really like this relationship. I'm rooting for them to be the end game. Meredith deserves a happy ending. Deluca's eyes are always on Meredith. He challenges her at times and cares for her in a deep way. ALL FOR MERLUCA

Completely agree. I had many issues with Derek. He was a toxic presence more often than not, he needed to be the most important person in the room, and he couldn't handle meredith starting to eclipse him. Andrew already knows she is superior to him. But he's not threatened by it, he's inspired. I love Merluca more than I have loved her with anyone. And this is just the beginning. As much as we hate it, Derek is gone and has been for years. I'm glad Meredith took time on her own with the kids before going into a serious relationship again, it truly showed she's a strong character on her own. She doesn't have to be with someone to be happy. But she deserves love and that's what Derek would've wanted for her. I was rooting for her and Riggs but Owen's sister had to come back from the dead so that went to hell. Now I REALLY hope MerLuca will be endgame. I literally just finished it on Netflix, and I love be them together. I know that he will never be able to "replace" Derek but this is the happiest she's been since he died. I hope to one day meet my Derek or Deluca. Not to mention Deluca fine af and he is the perfect package, he can cook, speak Italian, and he's hella smart.

Maybe its been a bit since merder, but I think the writers wrote them to be a much healthier couple... well, I guess up until the end of season 15. He also broke up with her when she wasn't ready for the house and everything even though he knew she wasn't. He was testing her. Derek also did show he cared more about his career than hers when he published their clinical trial and didn't add her name when it was her idea and she did a lot of the legwork. Derek was always written that way, but we overlooked it for the love story.
He wasn’t toxic he was so loyal. Meredith light up so much when he we was around Derek. No one made her smile as much as Derek and yes he would pick his family over his career. I stopped watching the show for a bit after the whole Meredith and Riggs thing because I wanted that to work out. I didn’t expect the Merluca thing to happen but I’m so glad it did because Meredith deserves to find happiness and deserves to find love again with everything she’s gone through. Sure Deluca will never be Derek, but he’s a good man: so sweet, kind, loving, patient, understanding and is willing to risk his career to protect her (and the added bonus that he’s good looking too lol)
Her most epic and greatest love story ignited in the elevator. The scene with Mer and De Luca in the elevator seemed so much of a MerDer/ Merrek thing. Also the stop looking at me and not to mention that hair, it feels like they're trying to recreate Derek in a way but it just feels weird. They're cute but I'd rather her not ending up with anyone. She's been through so much and I'd like Meredith to be spared from heartbreak
Derek will always be the person Mer loves most, and the best guy for her but when she was with DeLuca the fire that went out when Derek died came back, and she smiled close to what she did with Derek

He brings her back to a time of innocent love before being hurt and that magick is intoxicating to watch. I think she seems happier with him than with Derek. Mostly because the last few seasons before he died they fought a lot, mostly about him not putting her needs first. That's not how they ended but that's what stands out in my mind. What he did at the end of the last season, Derek wouldn't have done.

Flor Yñiguez You know when you edit it’s not that simple. You can’t have the music loud and also the sound loud bc then both things just oversound. So when the music is too loud you just need to put the sound down. But you can’t keep puting the music down and up over and over again bc it’s really annoying, more than not hearing the sound. Watch other full stories and you’ll see it by so many videos as well. They either oversound or are too silent. And we don’t have great studios at our homes or technologies. We’re just normal people with our computers. So I recommend yout to enjoy the way it is without complainng like many others here ☺️!

Derek was SO toxic. He brought her so much suffering so many times, chose someone over her, chose his career over hers, so many times. Meredith and DeLuca are what a healthy relationship looks like. People tend to think that in relationships where there is FIRE there is more love, but sometimes that's not true. Sometimes FIRE is destructive.

@@stephaniep4047 He did pick another woman over her even if she was his wife. He sent her a lot of mixed signals. He also broke up with her when she wasn't ready for the house and everything even though he knew she wasn't. He was testing her. Derek also did show he cared more about his career than hers when he published their clinical trial and didn't add her name when it was her idea and she did a lot of the legwork. Derek was always written that way, but we overlooked it for the love story.
He wasn’t toxic he was so loyal. Meredith light up so much when he we was around Derek. No one made her smile as much as Derek and yes he would pick his family over his career. You don’t remember when he said he wanted to stay here with Mer and his family but Mer wanted him to go. Well Merder is always gonna be my endgame and I don’t think she will ever love Andrew as much as she loved Derek. They were soulmates and forever will be in her heart
As much as I love mar and Darick. I feel like Andrew was always ment to be her endgame. Darick was always the better Doctor who over shadowed mar. With Andrew she gets to shine and he has room to grow. Andrew make sacrafices for her without question and she is willing to do the same for him. If that's not true love I dont know what is

Pretty sure Deluca wasn’t even thought of when the show was first conceptionalized. As much as I enjoy Meredith’s relationship with Andrew it’s undeniable fact that they only exist because Derek is dead.

I stopped watching the show for a bit after the whole Meredith and Riggs thing because I wanted that to work out. I didn’t expect the Merluca thing to happen but I’m so glad it did because Meredith deserves to find happiness and deserves to find love again with everything she’s gone through. Sure Deluca will never be Derek, but he’s a good man: so sweet, kind, loving, patient, understanding and is willing to risk his career to protect her (and the added bonus that he’s good looking too lol)

Her most epic and greatest love story ignited in the elevator. The scene with Mer and De Luca in the elevator seemed so much of a MerDer/ Merrek thing. Also the stop looking at me and not to mention that hair, it feels like they're trying to recreate Derek in a way but it just feels weird. They're cute but I'd rather her not ending up with anyone. She's been through so much and I'd like Meredith to be spared from heartbreak

Derek will always be the person Mer loves most, and the best guy for her but when she was with DeLuca the fire that went out when Derek died came back, and she smiled close to what she did with Derek

Anybody else notice that Link and Meredith have not had a scene together since she stood him up (well, technically since she asked him to dinner)? Not that I care or anything, I just find it funny. Also, Richard walking in on Merluca kissing will always be my favorite scene lol
Jenna Sotelo Oh well that’s beacuse Krista said that Merlink is just a backround story for Merluca. To mix things up but the priority was Merluca. When you watch Merlink scenes back, you can see that some of them include Merluca as well, but none of these important Merluca’s include Merlink! ☺️

I loved season 15. It’s my favorite season and there courtship was so beautifully done. Then Krista just threw it all away. The only reason I kept watching was to see them get back together. Now that’s not going to happen 😭😭😭

I think she seems happier with him than with Derek. Mostly because the last few seasons before he died they fought a lot, mostly about him not putting her needs first. That's not how they ended but that's what stands out in my mind. What he did at the end of the last season, Derek wouldn't have done.

Flor Yñiguez You know when you edit it’s not that simple. You can’t have the music loud and also the sound loud bc then both things just oversound. So when the music is too loud you just need to put the sound down. But you can’t keep puting the music down and up over and over again bc it’s really annoying, more than not hearing the sound. Watch other full stories and you’ll see it by so many videos as well. They either oversound or are too silent. And we don’t have great studios at our homes or technologies. We’re just normal people with our computers. So I recommend yout to enjoy the way it is without complainng like many others here ☺️!
