AXIS Site Designer - May 2024, map improvements, AXIS Camera Station Pro & power consumption reports

This video highlights new features and improvements made to AXIS Site Designer. We continually improve functions within our software and recently we have focused our attention on maps. A small but useful improvement is that you can now easily navigate between multiple maps and add new maps usings tabs at the top of the page.
A new addition to the map’s functionality is that you can now add your floor plans to a satellite map. You can superimpose your floor plans and adjust them by rotating and scaling them to match the actual building in the satellite map. You can even adjust the opacity so you can obtain the best view. When you add external perimeter cameras to the satellite image they will be included in your design.
Another feature added to maps is the addition of presets. You can easily save areas of interest and quickly navigate between them. This can be useful when creating larger sites.
Finally, we have improved the help for maps which includes videos and the shortcuts.
Within the recording selector with we have improved the visualization of both the project requirements and then the performance of the recording once you have selected one.
When you select AXIS Camera Station, AXIS Camera Station Pro will now be selected, however you can still select ACS 5 if required.
Finally, we have added power consumption to the bandwidth report. Within the "Power and bandwidth" report where you can see the estimated power consumption for the entire system, both devices and servers. This is useful information when considering the total cost of owners ship for the final design.
