I personally love seeing all of the actual installation work, it's not like you do it every video so I enjoy when we get to see it all if you're doing it.
It sounds so good you guys !!!! I love your channel and everything you guys do, also love how you guys work together so well !!! Keep up the amazing work you two !!! With love from Michigan, 5 miles from Woodward and 15 mile 😎👍
Sounds awesome. I'd absolutely recommend you swap those bolts out for titanium studs and copper nuts. OEM bolts are terrible for corrosion and snapping in the block when they seize. Also makes installing headers so much easier and quicker 😁
Oil smoke coming from the exhaust will have a blueish hue to it in the sunlight if it's pure white smoke it's usually water or coolant and fuel related smoke will usually be black or dark smoke.
I'm just going to say something everybody already knows, it sounds simply amazing. Now you have the proper valved sound to fit the look. Like if you think they need that big wing for the Cayman
Clayton, you and Faith remind me size-wise on Tom and Jerry LOL. My wife is also "vertically challenged" I'm 6'4", she's 4'11", and when there's a task in-which clumsy I can't maneuver, my wife will get the job done *SMILE. She, like faith is VERY handy with tools and so our wife's are true keepers. Keep rocking guys!!
Hello fella, have always enjoyed your channel and videos... I changed my coil packs after watching one of your how to videos a few years ago. Have you noticed any drop in your coolant level (looks like white, not blue - oil burnt - smoke), might be worth monitoring? For sure check into your air oil separator (cheap/simple fix) but my 2007 987 2.7 blew one of its head gaskets (following a failed water pump), required engine out, head skim and new gasket. My Boxster had around 75k miles at the time. Anyways, best of luck with your channel, will continue to watch with interest, thanks.
My '09 Cayman S with AWE catback exhaust. I have also noticed that on cooler days I get a puff or two of whait smoke at a cold start. Talked to my guys at Autobahn Porsche Haus. They say, that it's normal. but, if it continues to smoke after engine is warm? Problemo.
If it smokes while you drive it at operating temp then your piston rings are bad (need to change). But if it only smokes on startup then your value guides are shot (nice to change). The longer it sits the more uncle buck it’ll get.
My family has had 10 different 911’s from the 70’s through 80’s and a 2001 Boxster, we’ve always had oil smoke on start up. We’ve taken apart a couple engines and never found any signs of damage. Others may know more, but in my experience, it’s not an issue, it just happens.
We find that lifting and putting the car on Jacks for some reason makes it smoke more. Probably tilting the engine allows some oil to flow around the rings.
YO this makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE it i deeper tune those smoke looked like it came from the dump pipe i think aye sounds great!!! aye TUNE IT UP!!! AND NEVER CLOSE THE VAULVES!!
So how much louder is this one than the SOUL stuff at like cruising speeds/freeway? Is there no drone like the SOUL or does that heavier bass sound come with some drone too?
It sounds much better. The reason your car is smoking right now is a while is satin a warehouse they throw some oil on it inside and outside that's why when you finish installing it you're supposed to wipe it down before you start it like that it will not leave any fingerprints markings on it the inside will gradually wool burn off so don't worry too much about it
Hate to say it but white smoke coming out the exhaust is usually from oil coming up past the piston into the combustion chamber. Probably get away with new piston rings before it gets worse
@@andreelopez8371 You can get a first gen Cayman like this for around 20k...but you can't exactly buy a house for 20k, so it all depends on your financial situation. The financially smart decision would be to get a house first, then car later...but at the same time (owning a Cayman myself) I would be torn between the two options.
AND THE SEMY-RINGS,IN/FROM THE PISTONS.THEY ARE TOASTED.IS THE ONLY WAY,THAT,OIL IS BURN IN THE UPPER ROOM,THE VALVES ROOM. OR,IS SOMTHING LIKE,LESS OIL FROM THE OIL PUMP,IN THE ENGINE,CAN CAUSE THE SMOKE.
My dad had something in his fuel tank the day he had his MOT and they said that only professionals use it to stop a car from smoking for like 3 months.
Yeah it’s burning oil my 240 smokes, and I’m going to rebuild the head because it’s my seals, I know a Porsche is nowhere near a 240 but it is burning oil, if it’s smelly then it’s a definite !
Also, the smoke is caused by the air/oil separator. Most times it isn’t a huge issue. pretty common on caymans and boxsters

Small hands make the parts look much larger 😜

It's the oil fuel separator. Costs a couple hundred bucks.

If the smoke is only on start up, valve seals would be my guess. If it persists after warm up, rings.
Sounded amazing!!!!!
That thing sounds mean!!!🤙🏻💨💨💨💨 nice work!
Those rainbow welds are because of heat and gas coverage on the stainless steel 👍🏻
Truck's wheels in the back 😍 can't wait for that build to start
Faith gave Clayton a Dutch rudder with the pipe that has the valve...🤣🤣🤣
"Guys do you think that's centered?" "Me too".....Then Clayton adjusts it again.. Way to trust us man! lol

Smoke has to be air/oil separator. Loving the channel and you guys so keep up the content
The soul exhausts were gifted by james
Her perfection points just went up times infinity ♾️
I was watching another vid and then I seen this one and I didnt care about the vid I was watching anymore and immediately clicked 😁😅 love the content
great install and it sounds SO GOOD!!!! I was waiting for a surprise cheeseburger in the install process 😂

did you already get rid of the Soul exhaust kit?

i want a caymen like u guys so bad 😩😩😩😩😩 and widebody it, i cant lie i think this is probably the coolest widebody car on yt

i have ptsd of Faith hopping out of boxes and trunks. so when you opened the box to get the exhaust out i was waiting for Faith to be in there hahah
Props on doing installs yourself
A.O.S is probably the start up smoke. I would love to have your old exhaust....
that porsche is goals
There is a lot of smoke that comes out from under the rear fascia to the left of the center exhaust. Waz Up!
My guess is your AOS (Air Oil Separator) is kaput.
it sounds amazing
I like the throaty sound . Valves on and off🔥🔥🔥fabspeed🔧🔩🦾⚙️🎯
Looked like at 10:18 there was a pretty decent exhaust leak on the drivers side.
I thought that too, but the valves default open and dumped the exhaust including the smoke from the failing Air/Oil separator
Exhaust valves they are toasted. and the semi-rings,with them.

Did you guys name your dog sal after your shop Summit Auto Lab
I really love the look of that Cayman 🔥🙏 #bestcaymanonyoutube!!
Ayy I love you guys
gives gt3 rs vibes!
My dad had something in his fuel tank the day he had his MOT and they said that only professionals use it to stop a car from smoking for like 3 months.
where did you get that hydraulic lift?
The exhaust sounds so much better and beefier with its low grumble
That’s so beast!!

It's the air oil separator. Very common on 987s.
If you don’t mind me asking but how much did you pay for both the car and the wide body?
Was that a drop of oil on the last rev? 😳
Still waiting for the Fabspeed sign to be put up!
A race car style wrap would b killer dude on the car 👍
It can be smoking because oil may be overfill. Or headgaskets might be toast.
