It's a lot to like with Shedeur's game. His accuracy, poise and, toughness is evident on tape. His areas get better at his pocket manipulation, drifting in the pocket and, stepping into his deep balls consistently. To me is ceiling is Joe Burrow, his mid is Tua Tagovailoa and his floor is Teddy Bridgewater/ Tyrod Taylor. His pocket movement reminds me of a slower Deshaun Watson. I think in a timing offense he would really flourish. The best coordinator Shedeur has had is the one he has now which is Pat Shurmur. If he gets with a coach who stays on him about his feet I think he will be really good. All of the players i mentioned above were pro bowlers and, led their teams to the playoffs, in the right situation Shedeur could do the same thing.
Keep in mind as a lifelong Vikings fan I’ve seen Spielman’s whole tenure, overall he was a pretty dang solid GM but the one position I’d put a GIANT asterisks on him with is QB

Both Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts had to be big part of the run game to work and Love was literally years on the bench. Their succes has an big coached up part to it so if the coaching staff isnt willing/believing/confident/optimistic/capable to coach the guy up it not going to work.
Rick Spielman is the GM that drafted Christian Ponder and Teddy Bridgewater. Also traded a 2nd round pick for AJ Feeley. Not a great track record as a GM selecting QBs.

The Cam Ward crazy wild man interceptions narrative has to stop. He's played 8 games this season. Only in one of those games does that narrative fit where he did indeed have two boneheaded interceptions and a fumble. The game against Cal he did throw a pick six where he didn't read the defense correctly. He also played d*mn near lights out aside from that play in the rest of the game. He has 5 ints and two of them have went off of receivers hands that were catchable balls. He's no turnover machine that takes unnecessary risks. He's done it a time or two in national spotlight games but most of his games and snaps he's played very clean.

Kind of feels like a lot of QB drafts we’ve had since I’ve paid attention to drafts, 2009, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2019 were all years that there were things to like and reasons to believe you can work with these kids but there’s no generation prospect and they all have some flaws they’ll have to fix. It’s gonna come down to which team identifies the best fit for them and develops them properly.
Bad teams draft QBs early in the first round whether there’s a prospect worthy of the pick or not. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn’t, but they’re grabbing a QB either way. I think it gives a GM on the hot seat a little bit of breathing room.
feels like a 2019 class to me where the top guy (in that class it was kyler) will be the only franchise caliber qb. i think shedeur is like 50/50 but got more faith in cam ward.

Some of these guys have played a lot and played some good teams, hopefully they go to a team that’s not picking first and make something of themselves.
How do you fix a QB that holds on to the ball for too long? The ball has to come out quick in the NFL. An average of 2.5 seconds per throw. You can't wait for a receiver to spring open in the NFL. Out of those 5 QB's Sanders is the riskiest. Imho
I think you gotta ask why they’re holding the ball so long. Guys who are good at escaping the pocket to evade pressure will naturally have inflated times to throw. When we look at the line shedur is behind I think that’s a fair explanation.

Ward has so far the best Tools+production combination in the draft class in my eyes. Sanders doesnt have close to the level of O line play first round QBs usually have (both in terms of run blocking and Pass protection) so he has an heavy workload consistently and usually does an really good Job handeling it. Ewers has his HS status+game against Alabama + being on an high level and high Profile Team but his injuries and lack of high level individual play worry me. Beck this season seems like he is just forcing it too much because he knows the doesnt have the Talent around him he had last season (McConkey, Bowers) . Milroe has the best size/Arm/legs combination in the draft class and thats just something which can turn into high drafted guys and high level QBs.
I disagree with Sanders. If you watch his play he is very very good. He's consistently throwing into right windows and has very good movement within the pocket. He seems to have moderate arm strength but really good accuracy and touch.
So you don't watch Sanders play at all and are just hating, cool lol. He's great in the pocket and is the best thrower by far in this class. He gets through his reads and gets the ball to guys on time, and does a good job under a ton of pressure.

Lawrence may be in the worst offensive scheme in the league. Bryce Young is in his second year with his best weapon being Adam thelin. Caleb is halfway done with his rookie year. Way to early to call it on these guys.
Either run it back w/ DJ or sign a capable bridge but just know the bridge is not going to move the needle to playoff contender or a great offense. Daboll is not going to waste their time with QBs not named Ward or Sanders cuz Daboll wants the top guys in this draft and not projects which essentially are the rest of the QBs.
