The apothecary diary is lowkey THE sleeper hit of the season. Everyone was anticipating Frieren to be great, then some light novel about medical mysteries that was on absolutely noone's radar hits us with an insane production value anime with super endearing characters...
Yes I loved the apothecary diaries.. I started reading the manga.. its amazing
Apothecary is pretty popular in Japan, but I guess it's more of a sleeper in the west because of its unusual setting.
It has been on my radar since I heard about it quite some time ago, so idk, but maybe that's just me because I love old chinese/Wuxia worlds. But I have yet to watch even one episode of it, I'm just waiting for more episodes.
Hit? Yes. Sleeper? I don't think so. This show had decently high notoriety going into episode 1. Excluding on-going series, Apothecary Diaries was the show I heard talked about the most for the season.

I and many others disagree. It has insanely good action, thats true, but that’s not meant to be the appeal of frieren. Most episodes are more like slice-of-life episodes with 30 or so seconds of action, only with certain episodes being centered around action.
Slice of life is enjoyable and I personally prefer the slice of life moments, but they don’t make for good reactions, since Nicolas’ fan base is mostly there for the shounen and action
Good ol’ 100 Girlfriends! One of the best harem anime and manga ever. A great romcom and pretty much the Gintama of harem series

The 100 Girlfriends is actually peak, a truly epic story about the ultimate gigachad Rentaro and his family, one that shall be remembered for years to come (because it will take decades to even get to girlfriend 50)
100 girlfriends actually great. It’s parody but is low key a good harem that is actually a harem not the shit where MC just screws around with 5 girls and chooses one at the end
Frieren would make for fine react content, the main thing is that you probably won't be jumping around in your seat all the time while watching it. I genuinely enjoy hearing your opinions on stuff, and I think it'd make for an interesting series to see.

@@InsaneDeuit yes, but not all shounen are shounen battle manga. Shounen is a demographic not a genre. See people are already mistaking it for something it isn’t because people act as if all shounen have to be about fighting, selling people on frieren for its action which is not the main focus.
In short, not every manga with the slightest amount of action is a shounen battle manga anime, Vinland saga is another example of an anime that people kept hating on because “ThErEs No AcTiOn WhEn It’S a ViKiNg AnImE!!1!” And acting as if it was a shounen when literally every single fan of the manga or season 2 was repeatedly telling them that it was a seinen, and thus wouldn’t focus on fighting and action.
Frieren is not a seinen, it is definitely a shounen but not a battle shounen.

Frieren reactions are up there with JJK reactions as far as views go. This ain’t like oshi no ko. Every episode is reaction worthy. I do recommend that you watch it tho even without reactions 💯 anime of the year contender no doubt

I think one mecha that you would really enjoy is gundam witch from mercury. It's new polished and always left you with gossebumps after each epesiode.(also YOASOBI made one of the openings) genuine recomendation and Gigguk also speaks well of the show. Love your content and you lighten upp my day🧡

I watch them on my own, then I watch lots of reactions of each of the episodes.
If you decide to make reaction videos for it, I'll watch them all. If you decide to instead simply make update videos and reviews about it, I'll watch those.

Tokyo Revengers best story/ending/action/ sadness , Eminence of shadow best ost/Epicness/ (not a great plot here) , Dr Stones alaways good , KingDom of Ruin (waiting to see more to judge but not bad), Ragnar crimson good first episode but midle anime, Fieren chilling anime not the anim you look in reaction , Shield Hero Great first episodein season 1 but after this..., Bersek of Glutony is good waiting to see more of it

Just like other masterpieces like Mushoku Tensei and JJK that debuted in their anime seasons and took the anime world by storm, so has Frieren and stands out as one of the best anime in 2023.

As someone who stopped watching anime a while back and instead left to either read manga or lightnovels, Frieren is the one series I've chosen to watch every episode for and not read ahead. It's reignited a love for anime which I thought I had lost long ago, and really has made me see life in another light, as corny and stupid as it sounds.
Frieren is the best anime of this season and top 3 of the year

I dont know why every single video i see says frieren is chill only, last 3-4 episode were pure fights and adrenaline and madhouse is god tier on the animations. You can probably react to it, maybe put the first 4 episode in 1 video since its how its meant to be seen. However i reccomend you to watch it alone since doing it live might distract you from the milion little things this anime is known for

Nick I think you should watch undead unluck. It's not because of the powers and it's unique uses but because these powers are directly connected to world building. And among these abilities there is a good character development. And it is made by the same studio that made jojo.
Of course other anime of this season are also good, especially Frieren and Apothecary diaries.

I also hated cars until my 20's Nick, had motion sickness and couldn't handle the car talk. But then out of boredom, I watched Initial D, the old version too. By the first episode I was hooked in. At the end of the show, I was a full fledge Drift Fan.
Just to sell both show further more (Initial D and MFGhost), the premise of them show is that the main character have underpowered and underperforming cars, but they have so much driving skills that they end up putting any high end car in the dirt, proving that the car doesn't make the driver. They're basically Street Racing peak anime!
I dare you to watch a couple episode of either one, you might just change you mind, if just a little.
