What I did different was I replaced the booster and the two floats on top with three dragon jets and made sure I had no drag (ie: fast green arrows). Straight line it would do 246 kph. A problem I had was if the boat started bouncing it would go submarine. Usually after turning. To give an idea how much poor aerodynamics affect vehicles in Trailmakers, I dropped nearly 20 seconds on the archipelago run by removing two small high drag areas. Great show Scrapman! Been lurking around for a bit. I'm enjoying your channel.
trikes are extremely unstable, reverse trikes are a lot better. Check out the can am spyder and ryker, they're a lot less likely to topple if they have two wheels in the front
I like the way the constraints were structured for this challenge, because they let you all come up with very different solutions. I also like the idea of having one or two preliminary rounds where you can make modifications to your vehicle, after testing it against everyone else, before going into the actual competition. It sounded like you guys were doing that for this race, but it seemed like no one made any significant changes between the archipelago races and the grand tour. Beyond that, I actually rather like the boat race and I'd like to see a hydrofoil race (I'm surprised no one tried making one for this race) or a sub-race. If you weren't using the pre-set tracks I'd suggest maybe combining one of those with a land race, so you have a water leg and then a land leg, and allowing each player to decide how much of their vehicle they want to bring into the second leg (possibly with a limit on how many detachable blocks you can use, so you have to be strategic about how you connect the parts you want to drop).
i love watching these multiplayer races, because you see the different thought processes that went into each event. kosmo and scrapman having similar ideas building catamarans, while the other two built speed boats

It also kinda looks like a horse if you took the horse's front half and replaced it with the front half of my boat, then took its back half, and replaced it with the back half of my boat.
I tried to build a speedboat that can probably beat all your vehicles and failed over and over. Can't seem to get it right as well as to outperform efficiently. I have clearly failed and impressed that all 4 players have achieved a vehicle with a sufficient amount of time (: Good Job guys!

Never played the game but I noticed yall have a detach option so I guess propeller with explosives with some stabilizer fins for the torpedoes. Boats also must use only propeller power with manual rudder steering can be supported by bow thrusters or bow propellers ( not self steering must be perpendicular to the bow of the boat). Maybe 2 v2, a tier match or free for all. P.S. or it could work for scrap mechanic.

The teams will also be exchanged, so that Kosmo, Moonbo, kAN, and Scrapman will all have two chances to play with everyone, One time as fighters and one time as turrets.
Would be interesting to see a water-land-air race (on three different tracks), but the timer starts when the first build starts and stops when the last finish line is crossed. Vehicle addition between races are allowed, but the timer is still going. No removing of parts between races either. Teleporting between track probably should not be allowed.
I suspect that would heavily favor minimalist builds, since their actual build time for a single vehicle seems to be comparable to the length of an entire video (including multiple races and a time-lapsed build section).

So my idea is I realize when you say better without wing im guessing maybe your wings makes it Worse so this may be unstable but what if all your propeller is on the bottom of your boat and then put the small floaty thing(idk whats it called) and then a weight thing at the front so its more stable basically A Rocket Boat
Ekranoplan challenge. You need to make a boat that flies just out of water. You can still have some underwater wings just for keeping the boat from flying off.

That's a good idea but the planes shouldn't have guns but rather bombs so that it is a little bit more fair

Fun fact. The ekranoplan is literally a russian fusion of a boat and a plane. Also, some ekranoplans could actually go faster than mach1.
