Thanks for posting. I bought a computer table and chair together with this storage cabinet. The first two I assembled in less than15 minutes. The last gave me a headache and have to re-assemble it correctly after watching your video. Blessings.
We are using this locker to store our homeschool 3rd grade curriculum (and keep it away from a certain toddler's artistic talent). When I read IKEA reviews on this product, one of them mentioned that there were no RUclips assembly demonstrations yet. So, we tried to put one (out of three) together for about an hour until we finally gave up and searched. Thanks so much for making this video!
I think it’s either not that easy as it looks or maybe mine is defective. I can’t just slam the legs into the sides like that because it has to lineup with the hole so you can put in the white screws to go in. If you put it all the way in the jokes do not line up. I wish you could shown close up of how exactly you folded the tabs in for the lids. Mine are hard as a rock won’t bend as easy like The other parts.
Question. I’ve already built it and the door won’t close. What am I doing wrong?! Should I consider rebuilding it the other way around and seeing if that helps?
@@asrik8290 rotate the feet the other way around or exchange how you put the feet - making sure that the hole (where you connect the door) at the bottom is closer outside rather than inside. I hope this make sense
We just purchased a few of these, and the doors wont close. Looks like the bottom panel is restricting the door from hinging.... Any ideas what I did wrong?
I also made this mistake - rotate the feet the other way around or exchange how you put the feet - making sure that the hole (where you connect the door) at the bottom is closer outside rather than inside. I hope this make sense.
sorry for my late reply. I don't think its necessary other than - 1) the height will be low to get things in and out. 2) you'll need to put some rubber feet on the bottom to protect your floor if you don't use the legs.
hello, you did good video with comments, big plus. i wanted to ask you, should i use this without the back piece? I´m going to use this shelf for my aquarium filter. Thank you for your answer.
yeah you could use those extra pieces for stacking in place of the legs ( @10:07 ) but bend the tabs flat and put some stick-on rubber feet on to keep it from scratching your floor. Overall pretty happy with it. I use one to lock up my camera equipment with a small padlock, not a high security safe, but keeps things from wandering off. I don't open it daily or anything, so its basically brand new still.
@@CluelessDad thanks for your response. For some reason I missed that it had come through! Really helpful video and advice. Thanks for the recommendation. Appreciate you taking the time to respond too so thanks.
@@anushreekap This problem usually has to do with the front legs. There's holes on the legs that need to be facing a specific direction (outside, not inside).
Hi - looking to get one of these cabinet and see that the legs have levelers. Can you tell me how much height can be added by adjusting the levelers at the bottom? I need about an inch added in height. Thanks
Clueless dad put the top on wrong and didn't tell anyone. Changed it for the video instead of letting us know. I made the same mistake. Put the top on so that the small hole on the top aligns with the door so you don't make the same mistake we did. Also, why did I buy this. Worst ikea buy yet.
This was the most traumatising IKEA build of all the IKEA builds

ha. so glad I was able to help out! ;-)
Thank you for generating, and sharing this video!
Saved an hour of my life because of this video. Thanks for your effort xo
"I'm gonna do one, I'm gonna let them do the other nine." Pretty typical IKEA assembly lol
Thank you for such a detailed video. It was really helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
OH OH !!! Now I got it, but too late. How can I take one side off ?? My other put both fronts on,

I have the same problem. There is no way to close the door.
i can’t put on the door, the bottom doesn’t align
Me too. Any solution?
The common problem is the top and bottom pieces are swapped preventing the door from closing

@@polly705thank you... Gonna build 6 of These and the first one had this problem hah.
Can the Hallan series be used without legs? That means putting the cabinet directly on the floor.
Are the cabinets legs necessary ? Can the cabinets be used without the legs ?

Just wondering if this cabinet is strong enough for a nano aquarium (40cm cube, perhaps around 40kg in weigh) to go on top of it?
sorry for my late reply. Yes I think so. I can sit on one w/ no immediate problem and I'm almost 80kg.
LOL We’re thinking the same.
Me too haha

I suppose its possible, but it may not be as stable and strong w/o the back panel.
Hi thanks for doing this video! I am just wondering could I assemble this so it’s flat on the ground -without the legs? Are you still happy with it?

Can you hang the cabinet on a wall via the two holes on the inside of the back of the product that mount it? Like a wall cabinet
Would this be safe if I don’t do the back part ? I want to put a nano tank and I want to hide the canister .

Great video and very helpful.
What are the inside width dimension? By that I mean how wide of an object could I slide in there is the door was off? Thanks.
how tall is it with legs?
if anyone knows i'd really appreciate an answer lol
@@bee4590 sorry for the late reply, I wasn't in the office over the weekend to check. its 67cm total w/ the legs. (on the 50cm tall locker version).
not strong enough or double jointed enough to bend the top tabs in
Try pushing down w/ a flat bladed screwdriver or something else hard under your finger tip?
Hey there! How are they holding up? Looking to use it in my workshop..
pretty good. I only open mine once a week, but it works as light weight locker.
TIP!!! If the door is not closing then try the opposite end!!
Opposite end of what????

What's the max load for this? Hoping it will hold around 30kgs
yes, I think safely it could.
@@CluelessDad Thank you for the reply
So helpful thanks for the video!!!!
Super helpful! Thanks!
Is it sturdy?
yes, pretty sturdy, all metal.
can it be locked?
yes, you can put a padlock on the metal handle thing.

how do i unlock the top part
Im stuck at the part where you had to bend the metal
Thanks for this. Very helpful.
Can i lock that cabinet?
There's a latch on the front that can have a padlock put through it. (bring your own lock...)
Thk u and can it mount to the wall? Thks
I'm stuck at the metal bending part because I'm weak as hell
try a pair of pliers or push down w/ a screw driver?
probably better with a ??????? how to push in tabs
👍🏼🇨🇵 thank's for this vidéo very cool for me
Thank you! How nice to not have to read the booklet!!!
Este mueble es verdaderamente malo. Si lo pides sin patas no se puede montar.
The Shoddiest piece of crap I've ever bought. You put it together like the children's construction toy set, Meccano.
ha ha, the other one (Itasen) is worse!
Hm, glad I don't work for you.
This is a very bad product. Extremely wobby and loud. Not recommended!
Do you have any idea for the better one since i look for this kind of metal cabinet.
Thank you!
