- Every generation must deal with popular people who proclaim lies. But why do so many people who follow God fall for false teaching? Dr. David Talley examines the incident with 400 false prophets in 1 Kings 22 and how we can avoid believing deceivers today.

There is good reason apostle Paul said gifts of the spirit would become useless and no longer exist. Look how many fake profits there are now days and people are putting all there faith in them when they should just believe proficiency in the bible. The bible tells us the whole story from beginning to end. Nothing else need be added.
I agree how sad it is to see false prophets deceiving people. However as this Pastor in the video mentions a true prophet today will proclaim the Word of God. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 1:7 “Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed." Paul said the Christians were not to lack “any” gift.
1 Corinthians 13:9-10 he says, "For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect [τέλειον] is come, then that which is in part shall be done away."

"Why Are False Prophets Popular?"
I was meditating on that same thought today. It's crossed my mind before, concerning the Music Industry. My thoughts are, that God loves people enough to such a point that they have to work pretty hard if they really want something that God doesn't want for them, but once they reach that point, they'll eventually get their "audience" if they are persistent, but at what price? What does it profit a man to gain the world, but forfeit their souls for all eternity.
Jesus, being the True Messiah, came and was rejected. False prophets come, and the world accepts them.
*John 15:18* _18 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you._
*John 15:19 (nkjv)* _19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you._
If everyone is saying it, it must be true. Ouch! Keep the faith.
Here in the Philippines many were false phophet.The latest is the one who just started in 2021 🤭
Excuse me sir, the false prophets of today must be condemned in very clear terms, and you white wash it all. They are claiming miracles in JC name (no miracle to behold) and raking in the cash. People are being hurt. The God I believe in ...instills peace within... but comes with the Word that is like a sword to shame people to accept true salvation.
