Seeing toonz get all excited brought tears to my eyes for some reason, growing up watching him rage and hearing the happiness in his voice talk about his childhood just seemed so joyous to me

Honestly haven’t met someone from their gen who doesn’t other than most women. Like my ex fiancé has never even heard of yugioh till I told her abt it. (She 28)

I knew Cartoonz was a stealth nerd 😂 but really though, it’s fun to hear how excited and happy Toonz gets about his memories in the card shop as a kid. All the pictures of baby Toonz are really cool to see too. It reminds me of hanging out with my hooligan friends at the skate shop in middle school/HS and next door was this smoothie place and the movie theater was right there too. And all the trashy 90’s skater kids would be outside skating around. Little did I know that one of those punks was going to be my husband many many years later. The skate shop and smoothie place aren’t there anymore but whenever I go by there, I get all those nostalgic memories. Those were the best carefree times.

As someone who bought TCG packs, I can confirm, it’s rare to get good cards from packs. But somehow I have bullshit levels of that luck, as when I bought five packs of Yugioh cards, one of those packs had a five headed dragon. And on the topic of card values… I have a dark magician card that’s worth $80
I used to open pack of mtg,pokemon,yugioh and other cards when i was younger and one time i got a card from mtg that was like 300 bucks. Sold that card and made a good deck that i used to play tournments with

As someone who has spent over 20 years inside a card shop, I got excited and watched a full hour and 40 mins of you running a fake shop. The fact they simulated the stank on game shop customers means that whomever made this has also spent a lot of time in these shops as well lol.

Making decks that I thought were funny or strange was my favourite thing to do! I never got to play many tournaments but the one Magic the Gathering tournament I went to was hilarious, using a deck type nobody else was using I made a dude rage quit the event and then came 4th 😂 love the videos and I found a Toonz logo graffiti'd in my home town over in the uk!

Just got home from my night shift and decided to watch the new Toonz video. What made me laugh was... I was watching someone do their job whilst playing a character doing their job. My brilliant brain went along the lines of, this would have been better if I was doing my job, watching someone doing their job whilst playing a character doing their job 😂😂😂
Honestly was never into playing card games when I was young. I collected Pokemon cards but never played with them. My Niece and Nephew recently convinced me to try out Magic Commander. I got the Fae Dominion pack and now I’m trying to customize my deck. Having a blast so far and promptly named my deck “Group of Fae-holes” since my deck is designed to be annoying as can be! I’d love to see more of this even though it’s just a Demo.
