@@dragondiana8 Thank you kind sir :) but arranging by ear does not have to be all just hearing. it helps for me (when arranging any song 'by ear') to lay the chords down first. from the chords, you know your notes and scales already. this will be you base guide for all of the harmonies, the 'blending' parts of the melody. but for the background parts, you emulate the instruments. Play the song in piano only and observe the notation and rhythm. Then create your vocal parts based on trying to replicate the piano chords and the rhythm it's played. You'll notice my vocal bass part here (dum, dum, dum) is literally just imitating the original bass line in the song. nothing fancy. (this is the left hand if you're playing in poano) The harmonic chord parts (doo, doo) is also literally just sustained notes of the chord, which is the right hand chords if played in the piano. The rest of the 'fancy' parts are just my blending the actual melody in almost every note -- like adding a soprano and tenor part, blend high, blend low. sometimes not all. I hope i make sense
