I did a $3 Superflex over on Underdog last night and in Pick 4 when I didn't get one of the Big 3 QBs I wanted I instead turned to CMC as my pick. Then when it came back around I had J. Gibbs available. So almost out of circumstance I got 2 Hero RBs in rounds 1 and 2 and then got a trio of QBs in rounds 4-6. I have made a number of BB teams this year focusing on 2 hero RBs over the stereotypical grabbing of 3-4 WRs in the first 4 rounds like many are doing.
I had the 1.01 in a 10tm PPR Went CMC, MHjr and Achane at the 2-3 turn. Dak at QB, Metcalf, DJ Moore, Amari Cooper, and Mark Andrews round out my starters. Loved it overall.
Had the 5th in a 10 PPR team and went Breece, Puka, Achane, Hurts, McBride, Higgins, Pickens, Christian Kirk, and so on. A bit worried about my WR 2 spot. I feel like Higgins and Pickens are 2 Flex spot guys but not true WR 2. Feel great otherwise.
With ESPN ADP I love this strategy. In a 10 team, 3 wr league I got Saquon and Bijan with my top wrs being Aiyuk, Waddle, Nabers, Higgins, and Brown. Couldve had London or Olave at my 3rd pick too.
This was the first year that I didn't draft 2 rbs in the first 3 rounds and feel like I ended up with great value with the rbs i drafted. Starting format is 1 QB 2 RBs 2 WRs 1 TE 2 Flex Kicker Defense. QBs - Richardson (rd5) and TLaw (rd15) RBs - Eitenne (rd3), conner (rd7), mostert (rd8), javonte (rd9), and corrum (rd14) WRs - Hill (rd1), london (rd2), pittman (rd5), dell (rd6), mcconkey (rd11), jakobi meyers (rd12), and juedy (rd17) TEs - Goedert (rd10) Def - Dallas Defense (rd13) Kicker - Evan McPherson (rd16)
I usually go with the zero RB strategy but stuck in the 11th position ended up going double hero RB strategy. Saquon, Kyren, Hurts, Aiyuk, Diggs first 5 picks. WRs are weak but hoping Hurts, and my RBs carry me.
RBs are so scarce this year, this may be a viable strategy depending on who falls to you in the first round. Biggest risk is the rate RBs get injured though.
RBs arent scarce.....top tier rbs are. Thats why if you cant get tier 1 rbs it is sometimes best to just gamble on the late picks and stack the other positions.
My home league is ESPN 1/2 PPR 2 RB 2 WR 1 Flex, RBs are drafted HEAVY in the first 2 rounds. Should I hit RB's early due to scarcity or take advantage of WR's and try and stock up on RB's later?
your format unfortunately dictates you should definitely prioritize getting 1 RB in the first 3 rounds yeah, but don't force it, don't be afraid to play a top WR through ur flex
Would depend on scoring format if it's half PPR or standard that's fine in like a 2WR, 1FLEX but I'd ideally only like to get 2, exposing yourself to that much risk is sketchy imo
