haibo, yini with negative comments. Can we just learn to celebrate other people's success and achievements? I love it when Black people do well and live well.
@@ChooseU4ever I know right? I'm so tired of Americans transplanting their narratives to South Africa. Statistically speaking, almost everyone black and upper class in South Africa is married to other black people.
Excuse the typos in my previous comment, but really we are more than the sum of our weaves. Please stop patronising us for having a choice and excersising it.
nyakallo Angelina sheesh you do know you can edit your comments right ? And no one is being patronized, it's called criticism, constructive criticism. I explained it in my reply to your reply .
I didn't know you could edit. I am of the thinking if we are all thinking the same thing then someone is not thinking. So it's clear you have your opinions and in your mind they ring truth to you and vice versa for me so I will keep enjoying my weaves and life goes on.
EVERY black person/family that has their home featured on Top billing cook nd eat veggies only. i mean you never see anybody cooking pap or phuthu or even the 7 colours. it must be a Suburbia thing.............
Your remarks are so disgusting. As a confident, well travelled and educated proud natural haired nubian this rhetoric that wearing weaves implies self-hate is so boring. I recently started wearing weaves as a protective hairstyle, but also because I can this is my life to live. I look amazing in either my natural hair, braids and weaves and I'm happy to have this choice. I opted to start wearing weaves not only because it's convinient I just slip it on in the morning and worry about more important things. It's also really cheaper to maintain than frequent trips to the hairsalon, but beyond the convinience I like being able to switch up my hairstyle whenever I want. I could go on and on about the benifits of this new hairdo, but I don't get this narrow minded idea that wearing a weave means I hate myself. Why can other races be allowed to install extensions and braids without remarks that they are trying to be nubian or that they hate themselves? I am more than the sum of a hairstyle, the is more to me than a weave. Please enlighten me why can I not enjoy having long, bodywave or straigh sleek hair I bought with my hard earned money?
nyakallo Angelina Ok here we go , always being defensive in the face of constructive criticism or any kind of criticism for that matter. The excuses I've heard bout this addiction are laughable to say the least and you list them all as benefits lol. What are you protecting it against ? Honestly . It's easier to deal with huh ? For a group that claims to be strong ( strong black women ) you aren't strong enough to deal with your own hair. Smh. You mentioned self hate , I do see it as just that. You are the only group of women on earth literary 90% of You walk around with other races hair or plastic hair even horse tails on top of yours . Before you go "" White women do it to "" it's not at the same disturbing levels as y'all . 9 out 10 women of colour in my neighbourhood have this addiction compared to 1 out of 10 for other races. Black people's hair is unique . If only you would Learn to take care of it and grow it to what ever length you disire , instead of being jealous of other races sinking low to the point of buying other races hair to cover you own . And yeah you can do what you want with your money but if what you are doing is ridiculous don't think you'll be immune to criticism.
BIGBOYKDOG I’m 100 percent natural but even I’m offended by your comment, leave people alone and go and tell all the white women to stop wearing glue in and clip extensions.
Santana Gonsalves There is only one other reply in this thread . Have a look you will find the answer to your question. Or rather that reply I gave applies to you too.
Life is too short; you should be able to live it like you want, looking the way you want to look. Hair weaving isn't sad or unnatural it's a fashion choice! Now skin bleaching is unhealthy, and requires a deeper look. I don't know you, but have you been posting against that?

Why must everyone wear a weave?
They would both look far more beautiful without the shit they've got on their heads. #BlackPride
