I am too. The Softie Premier insulation plus Reflectatherm & TS1 liner combo really add a TON of warmth for very little weight or space. The TS1 also gives it a cozy feel inside, unlike most other bags that just have a low denier taffeta fabric that often times feels cold to the touch on chilly nights. While it might not be AS bomb-proof as the rugged MSS green patrol bag, I think its a strong contender. Snugpak has been making military bags and garments since the 70's so they definitely know what a bag like this needs to do, and the "low weight/pack size to temp rating ratio" and infused technologies really showcase that I think. I though it was going to be just like bag #2 in their VTS or Versatile Tactical System, but its so much more. This bag plus their bivi would easily fit in a day pack, or it could be paired with their fleece or Thermalon bag liner plus the bivi to get into the teens for sure and still not take up the room that a regular bag would. I can't wait to test it out this fall and winter!

I've never used one of those, but I have yet to come across a product from Snugpak they I didn't like. I have a TON of their gear and it all preforms extremely well.

What seasons are 2 season bags good for?

So a " 1 season bag" would be just for just summer ....usually...,ish... kinda sorta, lol. 3 season for spring summer fall and 2 season in the middle.... kind of. Most companies will call their WINTER bags "4 season" , as in you can use it in 4 seasons, but I prefer saying " 4TH season" because Im definitely NOT using my Snugpak Antarctica RE "-40*" bag in anything but deep cold temps lol. In Snugpaks, case this bag is the Tac 2 or mid weight bag good for a comfort rating of about 32* with the 1Tac being lightweight and the 3 & 4 being good for mid-late fall and winter respectively. In practice though, unless you get a cottage made topquilt or bag, these temp ratings are based on tests that let them say they work better than they ACTUALLY do lol. I have used my -10* Hammock Gear toopquit below -10*, but rarely a sleeping bag below its comfort limit and been warm. The snugpak bags I have are the exceptions so far.

Can you give me information of the tarp that you have under the sleeping bag? Thank you.
