Músicas como "Driving Your Girlfriend Home", "I'm The End of the Family Line", e "There's a Place in Hell for Me and My Friends" dão a dose adequada de pessimismo. "Sing Your Life" é bonita e instigante.

My 4 kids have been brought up on morrissey. Every time my mum hears Him on the radio she will text or ring to tell me . He got me thru my teenage years of angst and hate and still helps me today at the age of 45 . Viva mozz
He literally sang the theme tune to my entire life.
i always come back to him when i forget who i am
Yuuup
Where do you live that they play Moz on the radio?
Same. But I have 2 kids. In 1993 I made my mom drive me to Fairmont Indiana where he filmed Suedehead.
Best album ever
Hmmm
very questionable statement
morrissey is the best. ever.
Give me a cigarette
Why.. have I never heard this back in the day? It's got a good 80's vibe.. and it sucks.. but is good.. I am confused.
One of the greatest songwriters ever to walk this fucking earth!
Tony... u da man. I absolutely agree. Saw Moz a few years ago and it was epic.
no shit
It is because of albums like these that I'm reminded again and again to listen to my own curiosity, trust my judgement. I know that for many, foes as well as fans, this album became some kind of a mark post of Morrissey's supposed artistic wane. And even Morrissey himself has tended to disregard this album. I don't believe he ever plays anything of this album live.
But I've always felt that Morrissey was inherently not a singer, but a writer who sang his work. Among all his work, Smiths and solo, this is most developed in Kill Uncle. Kill Uncle feels like an anthology, a short-story collection, a coherent whole out of many deepingly revealing parts. For its bravery, and not only for tackling a new new voice in lyrics, but also taking on music that seem more like traditional ballads than contemporary pop music, this is Morrissey's finest solo work. In Kill Uncle, Morrissey and his band reinterpret traditional ballads as contemporary popular music.
This album deserves much more respect and exploration.
Wow how elegantly said! 👏🏼👏🏼
Speaking of "Sooner," I would rather just blindly Love You, Yah, "Sooner" than "Never"...
When I die I can see Morrissey opening the door elegantly & charmingly singing "your taxi is here, my dear" His music sounds just like my soul, he has been singing my life & I am so blessed to come to know it this side of Heaven💖
I like the insane clown posse cause they rap about their nuts, so I can relate to your feelings

I thought the song was The Harsh Truth fo the Cam era Eye." So when was the camera era?
There's not a song I dislike here
You just bring me down
The third song is "Single Life" lol@@Frankincensedjb123
MY FAVORITE MORRISSEY ALBUM .
ITS GOT ALL THE RIGHT MOJO.
Fairground Attraction's band member Mark E. Nevin adds a deep rich vibe to it all for sure.
It gets a lot of grief, but this album is under-rated. It brought me to Morrissey and therefore the Smiths and so many others.
Morrissey's early solo career in the early 90s was the best!...not to mention the best moz lineup!
agreed - it all went downhill for him early 2000's
Agreed. Was it really a solo career with that all star band!!! Not sure who arranged the music? Does he play instruments?
Your Arsenal is my bag
💯
moz's first backing band was the smiths minus marr plus gannon.
His first four solo albums are my favourites along with the live"Beethoven was deaf"album.
Agree..same here
Just thinking about that ..I even agree with your view on Beethoven was deaf ..viva hate led us into the best decade of Morrissey recordings and concerts ..you only have to watch ..live in Dallas
This album s a masterpiece. From King s leer It s a gem , one of t'he finest and most elegant pop recordsnever. Better t'han anyone else, better tHan pulp singer, t'han Bowie or Brett Anderson...etc etc
Love this album.... The lyrics to mute witness and driving your girlfriend...anthems for despair
One of his best solo albums. Don’t understand why it’s so widely unliked. Some of his funniest lyrics too; the band had trouble playing at times as they were convulsed with laughter.
At this point no band members were laughing....to quote Morrissey himself:
"....the session-musician embalming fluid of 'Kill Uncle."
-Autobiography p.240
Even Morrissey doesn't like this album...
@@jamesvozniak1149 Mark Nevin: “Then when we [the band] did the first song, ‘Our Frank’ we hadn’t heard the lyrics, then Morrissey came along and put the guide vocal on it, they put a real Elvis echo to his voice. We were nervous like, it was like the first day of school and the energy around him; you don’t feel relaxed around Morrissey. Then he sang the ‘frankly vulgar red pullover’ bit - are we supposed to laugh or not? So we look at each other, and we’re giggling uncontrollably, and I remember the look on Morrissey’s face, delighted that he had this effect on us.”
Que buena historia!

I cant belive Morrissey doesnt like this record . I think it´s so cool glamurous genuine arty , special , I like a lot the cello in the songs, and FOUND FOUDN FOUND is a great song , just like asian rut .. I think this is the best and the most arty morrisey ,. This album is a lot better than your arsenal IMHO It´s so glamurous , special and differrent to any other artist
Such a criminally underrated album
I agree with your comment ..the more I play it the more I love it ....the wonderful Steve nieve played on it too
Love this album. Played it on repeat when I was in Jr. High
Such a great album!! So many great albums that era..Happy Mondays, James, pop will eat itself, pixies...I was 21 then. Life was much easier in 1991.
Was 17. Halcyon days
“I’m just passing through here on m’y way to somewhere civilized” 🙌🏻🧘🏻♂️🙏🏻
Mute witness and the harsh truth are so solid! I love this album! So many memories.
Track 10, There's a Place in Hell for me & my Friends - Beautiful song on this underrated album

Hey Sanjay, what's your take on mozza being a racist, you being Asian.
Thank you!
This is the only album of Morrissey I've ever heard, but I think it's fantastic!
Have you listened to other albums of his since then ? Or the Smiths albums ?
@@annegabrielleroussel5941 No. Tell me what's good.
KING LEER is just magic
Love it, one of my faves, so many good songs on this album.
This is a good CD. I do not understand why that morrissey say that It os not. I LOVE It too much. Thanks, Morrissey for your songs, they are my life too. Be a good boy always, be clever. An embrace.
I agree, this has always been my favorite with Bona Drag afterwards. Quite a masterpiece 💯
Just realized Madness’s bassist Mark Bedford is featured on this whole album
I never paid attention to the bass in Found Found Found, but my god! , it is amazing.
Masterpiece!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, today I learned that John Deacon (from Queen... yes) plays bass on tracks 2, 4 and 8... My mind is blown.
I was 12 years old when i listen to this album on 92´ good memories
Moz older stuff like this is significantly better than anything he's done in the past 15 plus years.
on my way to somewhere civilised
and maybe I'll even arrive maybe
I'll even arrive
I'm just passing through here on my way to some where sivalised
And maybe you’ll even arrive?

The Best from Mozz, love you all!!! People of the world Love and Light!
SING YOUR LIFE!♥️♥️♥️
Tony the pony??!!
only on the USA CD long box release
I know Moz doesn't like this record and I agree whole-heartedly that Your Arsenal is better, but I don't think it's as terrible as he thinks. Perhaps that's because it's the first Moz record I ever bought.
I also wonder why they didn't wait and put My Love Life on this one? Anyone with some recording industry insights to share?
Lifeguard on duty was meant to be going on this album too.
Stewart Watson
Really? I love that song. Thanks!
I felt disappointed when it came out, but listening now it is one of his best. Massively underappreciated and under rated
I’m a big moz fan but this is the only album I never bought for some reason...it’s a bit depressing😀
A side best, B side so so in my humble opinion. But Driving Your Girlfriend Home is one of greatness.
A side is for me better than Viva Hate, but B side...
With Viva Hate best Morrissey.
Músicas de Morrissey sempre marcantes.
*31:14** There's A Place In Hell For Me And My Friends*
I love this album
Mute Witness

I must laugh about this gay vegan that I've loved all my life being called so many horrible names...to the point that he's been cancelled. For what reason? Telling the truth? UGH! Never do that!
This and Viva Hate are my favorites, apparently those are unpopular choices.
Morrissey himself said the album wasn't much good in his autobiography. Who are we to argue?
One of the best......perfect
sing your life é maravilhosa...o vídeo delicioso de se ver.
Our Frank and open conversations....
i know many people consider this his worst album but it has many of my favourite moz tracks, end of the family line and mute witness have really interesting thematics imo
I just love this album, it has such an eerie atmosphere not found in any other of his albums
Wonderful comment ..I agree
I remember this well... and to be FRANK this particulary reminds me of a blond girl from Stratford Connecticut that makes me vomit profusely.
wat?
I arrived at Festival Hall in Melbourne in September of 1991 to a pre-recorded message being beamed out on the 'tannoy', announcing that 'Morrissey will not be performing tonight, please take your ticket to the point of purchase for refunds". I was angry for a long time. I finally saw him perform at the Forum Theatre in 2002. He was brilliant. I wouldn't go and see him now though, unfortunately.

When his sense of humour gets gradually worser....
He speaks like I do.
More God like every passing day.

Love this song. thank you for posting.
Tristemente infravalorado.

Crap apart from The End of the Family Line
Oh, give us a drink and make it quick.....
Yeah or I'm going to be sick
love the piano version of place in hell.
Morrissey Stipe loved them both
Just a masterpieces this album as his first Tejo others Viva Hate and Bona Drag, I mean it can get better than that really a soul experience, a soul purge as Holly Jonhson refers in his song “the power of love”... why are the folks who can feel these songs not ruling the world???
wow
one of my all time fav .
bye
Best album at all.
I like it especially when it first came out
Morrissey is the best
It's getting good now!
where's Tony the Pony
Tony the pony wasn't on the original first pressings of the album, the version i bought "on tape lol" didn't have Tony the pony on
The Family Line...
Yeah my family hacked into decline and I'm spared of saying goodbye
My grandma is related to Morrissey I guess I am to😁😅😂
Love this and all albums
Underrated
I love all Morrissey songs I loved him since The Smiths. Best of all he's a vegetarian like me he's been one since he was 11 I been one since I was 8. Meat is Murder. And that's true.
+Romaine Kersting eating plants requires murdering plants
He's actually Vegan
Haha vegans are fun
when they sing like angels, yes.like this
Romaine Kersting me too! Morrissey family
Canciones como "Driving Your Girlfriend Home", la PRECIOSA "I'm The End of the Family Line" y "There's a Place in Hell for Me and My Friends" bastan para no critica este trabajo de Morrissey
Who wrote the Morrissey songs?
Give me a cigarette
Morrissey's "slow" album. A real oddity, but I appreciated it anyhow. Picked it up from a bargain bin.
And the music critics said that it was the worst Morrissey's album?!...Ha-ha-ha, i can't stop laughing!
They have yet to find out how shitty the music will be 20 to 25 years from the release of Kill Uncle.
