Ye I also think the camera work can be improved to the point where you can actually read the cards. I often cannot see what card they play and it doesn't help clarifying things.

Mein erste Pokemon Abenteuer. Gigantisch, faszinierend, mitreißend und einfach toll. Nun kann ich verstehen, was ich die ganze Jahre nur erahnt hatte. Diese Franchise ist zurecht eine Weltmarke und ich hoffe, wir werden noch ganz viele Abenteuer davon sehen. Toll ein Stück Zeitgeschichte hier zu sehen von Dir. Liebe Grüße

For the people wondering why they shuffle alot is because you can place many Item cards as you would like. Then you can go through your Pile/Discard pile and search what you want/need. I just started playing Tcg last week ago so please correct me if I'm wrong....
Yea my area sucks for it too. And now it's worse with the virus closing so many stores that would host card tourneys or at least cancelling the tourneys.
I would be more inclined, but it seems like you need to play with a deck of expensive cards to win and I like to collect and keep the expensive cards safe..haha I think it would be hard to win a game without using a single holo card
Pokemon TCG is evergrowing, whenever a new pack comes out, new metas are added and you can't stay on one meta, so you just keep changing and changing. That's what is amazing about this
Theres a 20 pound box that come with 3 decks a playmat and a tutorial it helped me a lot it's really useful if you have someone to play with it's called battle academy
I've always thought that you can play so many trainers and items AND pokemon abilities all in one turn was very broken, and these guys have perfectly optimized that game mechanic.
Well you can, just one supporter tho. Most times one supporter is all you need to get you on track again. You can play as many abilities and items tho. Read the card first. Usually helps

It's not hard to recognise good cards in standard format, the hard part is getting the specific cards you want as Pokémon cards are relatively expensive
They should add every finalist as character in the pokemon anime. and have the match play out like in the championships. would be even more interesting.

I played this as a kid with the first generation of Pokémon. Thought I'd come check this out to see what it's like at a championship level. I have no idea what's going on. Seems like energy still let's you do attacks, but that's about the only similar thing I can see with the old game!
It may look very complicated, but so does chess when you don't understand the rules. But the Pokémon TCG is one of the simplest card games out there. I love it :)
How are they able to put multiple enegery on multiple pokemon per turn, I don't know the game that well but thought you could only attach one per turn unless you have multiple support cards? Also how did Mewtwo knock out opponents when it requires phsycic energy but only had fire attached?
That’s their own cards, I have never seen competitive tgc but In Pokémon games competitive you have to have your own teams that you bred and caught, so I’m pretty positive same rules apply here. I mean they do this for a living so it shouldn’t be an issue for them.

That charizard is not legal in actual tournaments and even if he was he’s still not that good of a card. He’s just rare for collectors.

Even if he could knock out Nico's Active Mewtwo & Mew-GX with his Victini V, Nico has another one on the Bench which already has enough Energy attached to copy Reshiam & Charizard-GX's GX attack (200 damage) which would KO the Victini V in one attack, taking the last 2 Prizes. He conceded to give himself more time in the next 2 games rather than play it out.

yeah that was the best. They should do tournaments or something of that line where the highest evolution of pokemon allowed is Megas just like the old tourneys. No gx or v's or Vmax's. only ex's and Megas.

Searching and drawing are different in tcgs. When you finish all your searching you NEED to shuffle so your next draw is random, and you don't know what's coming or you can't put an ideal draw on top. Searching is powerful and ideal so you can get exactly what you want when you want it, since drawing leaves it up to chance

As a Magic player I wonder why Pokémon players always wear headphones on these big event streams? Do they receive some kind of information through them? I guess in Pokémon it is more common to face non-English cards at these high end tournaments so this might be the answer?

Can anyone tell me why mewtwo player discarded his hand and drew 3 cards in first turn? I’m new to this, also are players aloud to attack on the first turn of the game
Alex Morera no they can’t attack on their first turn, they also can’t play supporters on their first turn also there are abilities and attacks that let you draw
To all these comments who complain about the presentation and don't know what's going on: Are the commentators supposed to read the cards for you or what?
Trying to figure out what the meta is these days cause it's been a while since I last played. I checked the website that came up when typing in meta decks for Pokemon but like 2018 decks came up x.x
Check out Celio's Network and The Sableyes and Omnipoke on YT. They have good up to date meta deck videos. The top decks right now are ADP/Zacian V, PikaRom, Centiskorch VMax and LucMetal/Zacian V. Blacephalon is still top 5 too.
Too bad the Reshiram/Zekrom didn't get the love it deserves. Maybe bc it needs baby Nagenadel to bring the energy on the bench to discard. It's cool to see Pikarom still being relevant. Same goes for Blachepeon!
They use the dice to count damage. Every "point" in the dice counts towards 10 damage. So for example, if they put the side that has 6 points it represents 60 damage.

When you finish all your searching you NEED to shuffle so your next draw is random, and you don't know what's coming or you can't put an ideal draw on top. Searching is powerful and ideal so you can get exactly what you want when you want it, since drawing leaves it up to chance

As a Magic player I wonder why Pokémon players always wear headphones on these big event streams? Do they receive some kind of information through them? I guess in Pokémon it is more common to face non-English cards at these high end tournaments so this might be the answer?

Can someone explain what Vulpix does? It seems to me it has no ability and only a weak attack move. I am a beginner :)
the idea is to evolve it into ninetails for that ability! I'm guessing he couldn't find ninetails to evolve the vulpix

this is the first time i have youtubed pokemon TCG. with in a minute i have major questions. What are these rules they play by? obviously not the actual rules that come with the decks... Seems they have just a few energies in the whole deck... whats up with that? and the wrong energies as well...

Mewtwo and mew is so op and highly underrated man he holds up to this day especially if paired with Mewtwo Ex with Damage swap and Charizard EX with crimson dive and a Protection cube. Alex Morera no they can’t attack on their first turn, they also can’t play supporters on their first turn also there are abilities and attacks that let you draw

To all these comments who complain about the presentation and don't know what's going on: Are the commentators supposed to read the cards for you or what?
Trying to figure out what the meta is these days cause it's been a while since I last played. I checked the website that came up when typing in meta decks for Pokemon but like 2018 decks came up x.x
Check out Celio's Network and The Sableyes and Omnipoke on YT. They have good up to date meta deck videos. The top decks right now are ADP/Zacian V, PikaRom, Centiskorch VMax and LucMetal/Zacian V. Blacephalon is still top 5 too.
Too bad the Reshiram/Zekrom didn't get the love it deserves. Maybe bc it needs baby Nagenadel to bring the energy on the bench to discard. It's cool to see Pikarom still being relevant. Same goes for Blachepeon!

They use the dice to count damage. Every "point" in the dice counts towards 10 damage. So for example, if they put the side that has 6 points it represents 60 damage.
