What if the ruined mascot suits was what was originally used for the first Fredbears? We know that there's an elephant animatronic, Orville the Elephant, and Chica, who could be a reboot of the ruined bird suit. There'd HAVE to be something before animatronics, and the mascot suits could be that.
I think what’s interesting is that we have Lefty and Scrap Baby. 2 characters that are salvageable in FNAF 6, but Scraptrap and Molten Freddy aren’t present in HW 2. It could suggest that the remnants of the missing kids and afton are gone for good, and that Charlie and Elizabeth (either their souls or maybe an AI replica) are at play?
