    Been looking at these, but damn...For the quality you get in any of these RV's today, they should be half the asking price. When you walk into one of these on a dealer lot and see laminate peeling on the counter tops, cabinet doors loose and falling off and cheap plastic everywhere. If they are this bad with zero miles, what do we have to look forward to 10, 20 thousand miles down the road.
    Forget about MSRP. Who ever comes up with MSRP need to share whatever they are smoking.

    Should have the cooker hood option in there. All the cooking moist and heat will damage the cabinetry over time. Maximum solar for boondocking too.

    The carrying capacity is a joke and you are sadly mistaken it is among the highest in the industry. Also, there needs to be power tower in the kitchen.

    At 8:14 - There’s the Winnebago I remember of old! LOL! Anything not seen, who cares. Electrical connections, ehh. Plumbing fittings and seals, the customer will never know. I grew so 🤬 tired of light switches working one trip, not the next only to find the wiring held by gravity. Plumbing leaks regularly until we realized NOTHING was properly connected, nothing sealed, even the short pipe from the commode to the holding tank was just placed there, no sealant (blue stuff) just waiting until I used the John at night and started smelling stink. Good to see after all these years that Winnebago hasn’t changed, still true to form. They must actually believe that pushing people to produce no matter what above quality concerns, actually saves them money. 🤣

    Top from the outside, great looking RV inside there seems to be a minor transition to european curved cabinet doors, pushlocks and some small things, my question would be also how is the craftsmanship on these vehicles and where to store sundbeds, bicyles etc...( Not in the bunkbed i guess)🤔

    Such a pretty RV. The deal breaker is the diesel exhaust on the camp side of the RV. Nobody wants to smell exhaust while sitting under the awning while enjoying the great outdoors. Such a huge engineering/design flaw.

      @RickDeckardMemories Год назад

      It doesn't matter. Total carrying capacity is only 950 lbs. Including EVERYTHING : occupants, all water, fuel, food, etc. Full water tanks are 250 lbs.
      If there's 2 people traveling, you will have 300 - 350 lbs for your things and food, after you fill the water tanks.
      All this storage and extra sleeping arrangements are meaningless, as you will be over weight capacity.

  • @RickDeckardMemories
    @RickDeckardMemories Год назад +1

    I was shocked at carrying capacity 😒☹️😔
    950 lbs 😳😢
    This includes any water AND you count your tongue weight as well!
    So full water tanks are 250 lbs.
    Let's imagine two people and a dog, that's 400 lbs (I am counting myself, for example : 6ft 1in, 215 lbs, so...)
    That leaves you ONLY 300 lbs, and if you are towing something, don't forget tongue weight!
    It's just sad.
    Such a nice RV, and certainly NOT CHEAP, but allows so little capacity ☹️
    Lots of storage... but what on earth am I going to put in all these storage compartments, if I only have 300 lbs to play with?????????????????????
    And why would they offer sleeping for more than 2 people? Imagine 4 people on board, that's easily 600 lbs or more.
    So 4 people and full water tanks leaves you 100 pounds for ALL THE THINGS AND FOOD... is this a joke?

    • @azjim2946
      @azjim2946 Год назад +2

      I have a 2020 View (which is basically the same as the Navion). Yes, the cargo carrying capacity is not great, but you will find this is basically true for all the motorhomes. The problem is worse for me because I don't think any of the manufacturers take into consideration what I consider some are necessary modifications. One is the sway bar. The bar was improved in 2020, but still pretty weak. It does not hold well with strong winds on the Interstate -- so I changed it out for a Helwig sway bar. The same goes for the rear shocks. I replaced them with Fox Agile shocks. The stability is much better. Personally, I don't like to do manual levelling at a campsite, so I got HWH automatic levelers. I would love to also put a "deer catcher" front end on the bumper. When my wife and I were driving last year in Idaho, we nearly hit a deer in broad daylight. A deer catcher would add another 90 pounds. But if you look at even super-c and ultra-c rigs, for their respective increase in power, their GVWR minus the normal travelling weight is not that great. You really have to consider your tradeoffs.

    • @willbillyheaven
      @willbillyheaven Год назад +2

      @@azjim2946 all those on the Mercedes chassis! Of the Navion/View line up the 24J has the most CCC but even it only has 1100 pounds. But this holds true for all brands that build on the sprinter chassis. I personally think you need a minimum of 1500 pounds CCC and you can find plenty of 25 foot Class C coaches on the E450 chassis that will give you in excess of 2000 pounds CCC. I saw one not long ago that had 3900 pounds of CCC.

    • @willbillyheaven
      @willbillyheaven Год назад +1

      @AZ Jim this is what keeps me in my fifth wheel. Part of me wants a motor home of some kind but space and ccc is always in short supply in one.

    • @azjim2946
      @azjim2946 Год назад +2

      @@willbillyheaven You are correct: there ARE tradeoffs. I like the idea that I don't have to leave the cab to get to the coach living compartment. And if you don't already have a 3/4 or One Ton pickup (preferably with 4x4), you will have to get one. But as you say, your CCC is much greater. I will have to add one additional benefit of your approach over my MB Class C View Winnebago. Most of your 3/4 or One Ton pickup diesel trucks have exhaust compression breaking. Even though my MB diesel is on a 3500 chassis, MB did not give me exhaust breaking capability. When towing my personal car behind, and going down either a 5 or 6 percent downgrade, I am concerned for my breaks. All I can do is downshift. But with the current electronic transmission, you cannot downshift unless you are going slow enough by what the computer thinks. It does this to protect against red lining the engine and damaging the valves. But for the sake of safety, there should be some ability should your brakes start to heat up. With exhaust breaking, you have that added benefit -- and that is a BIG one.

    You mentioned nothing about the motor or chassis , no test drive, No info about the roof construction. Info many RV shoppers would be interested in. You can post the MSRP and the MAP price. unless you are not willing to sell it for the map price. Price sells RVs. the whole contact for price thing went out of style in the 90's and is never good for advertising. Not a bad presentation for your first time just needs a little more personality, fun, excitement and humor maybe a little less dryness. You don't have to show every little bitty thing. Just the major things and why it benefits the RV owner maybe share some of your experience owning a RV. Sell yourself before you sell your product is the key to a successful career in sales. Good luck.
