Hi Mike, glad to hear you are on the mend. Hopefully you are feeling yourself again soon. Thanks for sharing the helpful video. Yes, dealing with someone’s non standard wiring can be a can of worms. All the best
@@BritannicaRestorations Skipped the flu jab until I got the flu again for 1st time in 20+ years. As you say - just takes it out of you. Started getting the jab again - still got flu a few years later but it was a 3-day thing instead - so worth a shot (as they say)
Hi Mike, nice to see you back on the tools again. When you first said that the warning light would not go out, I really thought that you were going to say --; so I will take the bulb out. That just goes to show what kind of apprenticeship I had. I remember being told to swap the ignition light and the oil warning light over because the oil pressure was that bad. Those were the days. I hope that gave you a laugh and cheered you up a bit. Best wishes from Yorkshire Rob.
Dear me Rob - they things we do (or did) I was about to buy a Discovery 2 year a few years back and when the car was started no lights on the dash, but then I remembered that new vehicles have a dash check feature so when up out the key in the lights come on then go out if the system is good Someone had pulled the dash apart and destroyed just about every surface mount LED on the dash - I walked away - over $1000 for a new dash, let alone the cost of repairs
What is the MAX' Rated Alternator Output on This 300Tdi Please ? Ford Ka's 1.3 petrol have a 70 Amp Alternator, 32 Amp for a Diesel Land Rover seems a little Low.
All those accessories and no NVH engine top cover. See this a lot on 300 tdi. Made a heck of a difference when I put mine on. Anyone ever found a tachometer that can fit in the hole currently used by the analogue clock?

Curious what that white wire was actually for ... Strange how older cars grow spare/ redundant wires.. bit like me and nose/ear hairs maybe...
This was a V8 before so it could be a tach wire
It's nowt to do with American cars. The British ones beep with the door open too!
My Austin 110 didn't!

Can never understand why someone has to load perfectly decent defenders with superfluous accessories. Completely spoils them in my view.
Huge wheels and suspension lifts are the things I don't understand.
Someone has an EGT gauge :-) MadMan?
