Adorning a church is a more of a European concept. Armenian churches are meant to be very stoic, very bare, and as small as possible for the population. This is because the focus should be on the prayer and God. Their locations are out of the well tried in spots because they are meant to be meditation points, places where you get away to be at one with God. As you can see it’s very interesting how to Christian nations can have two completely different notions of what a church should look like and feel like.
