    Love the nick nacks to apply to different scales and arpeggios helps show and give better understanding I’m beginning to sound more like a rhythm bass player feeling confident about being able to move around on the neck puzzling 🧩 together notes for a better sound it all so has helped me hear these rhythms on radio 📻 Tv 📺 👍

    Dan your lessons and approach are amazing! I bought my bass 3 months ago with the intention of playing stoner rock style stuff but after figuring out what kind of bass player I really wanna be I discovered Motown’s James Jamerson and fell completely in love with his style and creativity. This lesson and all your others are doing so much for my progression right now, I can’t thank you enough! 🙌🏻

      Sam. Great story and brilliant that you discovered Jamerson. No better bass player to model yourself on in my opinion. Thanks for watching and keep up the playing!

    Hi Dan, just wanted to let you know that your the one teacher that explains theory in a way that i can understand, you provide answers to questions that many pass by and help me to "connect the dots " and fill in the missing pieces in what ive learned, thanks

      That's so kind of you to say and the"connect the dots idea" is exactly what I'm trying to teach.

    Great video series. As a beginner with just guitar lessons, I have been told I don't interact enough with the drummer and was looking for ideas how to complement the drums.
    Instead, I'm suddenly into lines, modes and scales lol.

      Thanks for watching! All of that stuff PLUS playing well with a drummer will help. That’s mostly about keeping things simple, locking to the kick drum and having good time.

    Does using one finger actually make a difference to your tone? Ive tried it but it doesn't seem to.

    • @OnlineBassCourses
      @OnlineBassCourses  3 года назад

      It probably makes a tiny difference but it's so hard to keep everything consistent with one finger (unless you're James Jamerson!). I just use two most of the time.
