I have such good memories with this game...I still have a copy and a psone...I love this game it really made me into the gamer I am today because you had to persistent if you wanted a certain digimon. If you slipped up JUST ONCE you could end up with an entirely different digimon. The just don't make em like they used to. Young gamers (if there are any here) please give this game a try, because even if your not a digimon fan this game will change you
And some times , even if you did everything perfect , you still wind up with something else. Just tried for centarumon , had all the requirements , yet i still got Monochromon. Still love this game!
Man, this soundtrack reminded me of my childhood lol. Not exactly all rainbows and flowers, but then again, I didn't have so much to think about back then... Just worrying about how I would feed my digimon, go to the nearest restroom, or bypass bunch of annoying enemies. Good times, good times.. :)

Such BGM like this from such games remind me of when I used ta have a draw full of memory cards before I got the PS3 in my room which now has so many tracks from games I've had over the last 12 years on it...
I still cant get over how only pokemon get so salty bout this game and anime franchise. Theyre quite good. God damn music is so good, nice story line, good battle scenes(hard mechanics though but quite rewarding after you finish). I played both. I just lean more on this franchise. I need to finish digimon world 4.

Take care of your digimon. Dont let him poop on the floor, feed him when he is hungry. Dont overtrain him (dont train him when he has a tear drop in his text bubble) and you should be getting angemons, greymons and all the digimons you actally want :D. Bakemon isnt that bad though

Oh man this game... I wish they would remake it for ps 3 and bring it to US or Europe (at least in english even though my language is german) I know there is a new Digimon world for ps 3 but I think they're just aren't like the first one .__. not nice music and so on...
there is one for the psp that is a remake of this original digimon world, its true to the original and amazing but in japanese only, a english patch is right around the corner and there is already videos of the first forest entirely in english
Slade Wilson Well, I like World 2 more, but that's just me. I just had more fun with it. Because no matter what I did my freaking digimon wouldn't stay alive in this game. And the second time I raised it, it always became a Numemon, and I hate Numemon.
Wish I had some kind of a guide come with the game. I didn't think to check gamefaqs when I was a kid. Didn't manage to beat even 20% probably at that time, managed to complete it though a few years ago when I was in college.

As a kid I liked Digimon World 2 a lot more because it was easier to follow. Digimon World 1 felt so random.
