I only use high quality clear protective lens, not UV, and the difference is not noticeable under normal lighting situations. But to play safe I would still take it off whenever possible, because another piece of glass may cause unpredictable reflections bouncing inside the lens, which may lead to excessive ghosting, reflections, etc.
Thanks for your video. It depends on the quality of the filter. Some low quality filters affect sharpness and contrast. I do believe the negative effect of high quality filter is minimal. If you do wildlife photography and need to hike a lot, I would put a high quality filter on to protect expensive lens. Low end lens don't need filter though. I saw a person using a Canon L lens in a cave in USA where there were a lot of people. His lens was rubbed against sandstone wall. His lens didn't have any filter on. If you do mostly indoor work, I would not use filter.

Muse Sir, 今日睇完片，即試，影一個膠樽，背室外光，正所謂冇比較就冇傷害，冇filter好啲，在ipad pro上都分得到，1) 顏色(雖然很些微)，2) contrast，3)filter導致某個位有反光。
為方便，一直有用UV filter唔用lens cap，睇怕要開始學習及習慣抹鏡了。

同理真係執到超平，半個月前，我見到部二手Z7要萬二，萬一都唔肯賣。
其實盡量唔用filter最好, 有特別用途或日光好除外, 否則150mm以上鏡頭就知道有好大分別,如果去到400-800mm,張filter係一個障礙。
我都喜歡用二手, 成日想試唔同既野, 試完唔岩用平幾舊放返出去。
UVfilter我都係當保護鏡用😂,係有炫光先會除。
落咗filter啲flare都勁好多，依家啲filter仲要勁貴$600+，50.8我都係粗用，用幾年都無話會抺花鏡面，其實層coating好硬淨無咁易花。
想問下宜家除咗又UV filter，我見仲有Protector(我見B+W同HOYA都有)，會唔會有一樣有條片講嗰啲反效果？定係祇係因爲UV filter嘅coating先至會咁？或者之後可以做個comparison between 無filter, UV filter 同 我所講嘅 protector

其實uv濾鏡質量可以爭好遠，所以uv鏡一係就唔買，一買就要買得貴。上網睇過介紹其實係防止鏡頭裏面用來固定鏡片嘅膠水老化。所以都係睇你諗住支鏡會用幾多年，考慮落唔落UV鏡。

我發表下本人不專業嘅理解：紫外光對菲林同CCD嘅成像有較大影響，所以在當時，或者現在玩緊菲林同CCD嘅朋友，加一塊UV filter確實有增強畫質嘅效果。現時相機大多採用CMOS作為感光元件，而CMOS對紫外光不太敏感，此時紫外光對畫質影響不大，從發揮filter功能的角度，UV filter就無太大必要，同時品質差嘅UV filter有可能對畫質造成影響。
咁樣的話我想更加虛化背景用會好D呢？
成日係海邊影，都唔知會唔會掂到海砂海水，d咸水對濾膜有幾大腐蝕性大家心裡冇數，同埋有時job太多，都冇時間清理鏡頭，影下影下發現上面鋪滿灰塵，挪起個衫尾就捽鬼佢，至於話相質差小小ok囉
做 job 同玩意完全唔同，商業一定要交到最好功課，才可以收到最高價錢，那怕器材損耗。
That is why I don't use filters to protect the lenses either, handle with care is enough.
