With so much interest in the sweater, here is the link to the Etsy shop where I bought the pattern , she has a video tutorial with it as well , I went with size Large, and I added an extra 8 rounds before working the bottom ribbing to get the length you saw on me, this meant I had to buy 1 extra ball of the yarn she recommended (which I did use) www.etsy.com/listing/1336368998/easy-knitted-sweater-pattern-pdf-with?ref=yr_purchases
Please, Universe, take me back into the time-space continuum when/where patterns had 15 lines or less. It is easier to light a fire and dance naked in the moonlight to call down the ancestors to guide my hands than to follow these modern patterns.
I LOVE super detailed patterns! My Mom taught me to crochet when I was about 8 or 9 years old, but I hadn’t crocheted for at least 40 years. I picked it up again and re-learned by following detailed patterns and watching RUclips tutorials. Now I’m in a stitching group at church and make hats, scarves, and blankets that we donate to schools, hospitals, and other charitable organizations. And all thanks to those step-by-step patterns and tutorials.
@@rosem5044 Very groovy that the modern patterns/tutorials have released your inner fiber artist!! Your work has comforted so many just when they needed it. ✌️
Your sweater turned out great! Thanks for revealing the finished results on that project. It looks super cute. You're on your way to being an experienced knitter. Take care.
you are so professional, talented in reading all this complicated patterns and soooo authentic ❤ a warm hug to your son too please. I am always happy - as so many others here - to see your channel popping up
Sweater looks fabulous ! I remember those stockings a friend of mine her mother made her those stockings. I wanted some so bad, but unfortunately, my mother did not crochet.❤ now is my chance.😊
you're such a pleasure to watch solving these mysteries. You make me smile and chuckle. Love your sense of humour! Keep up the great works. Thank you so much. xxx
I love your sweater! The flower is perfect for it, too. Well done with the stocking. I hope you make the other one and wear them. Love all your videos. ❤❤❤
I soooo love visiting with you while you crochet! Whether you get a mystery pattern right or not so right. Thank you for sharing your time and talents with us. 🥰
this sent me on a little trip down memory lane. I think I was about 5 or 6 and had a pair of long socks or "knee highs" with the little fold-over on top and edged with lace - these were for Sunday School, weddings, going out etc. Soo pretty but the darn things would never stay up .... I can hear my mom, clear as day, admonishing "pull your socks up" 😂. Then of course, all through school years, in winter, we could either wear long socks or those dreadful thick grey school hose (in South Africa we have to wear school uniforms). So socks it was, with a band made from knicker elastic to keep them up. Congrats Corrina another mystery well solved !!
That is exactly what I was thinking! So, I am sticking this one on my "Crochet - Christmas" playlist, as well as my "socks, slippers, shoes, and leg warmers" playlist.
I love your re-cap on the non-intro. The sock reminds me of leg warmers; I really wish they’d come back into fashion. The flower on the sweater is great.
I liked this. I think I'll do this but in a chunkier yarn so it's more of a house slipper/sock. I can see the stockings in a thicker thread. The 60s were so fun. I recently made a vest from the 60s I absolutely adore. We should do a retro series of 60s and 70s patterns. Hmmm, lightbulb moment! I think that will be my theme for Christmas this year. 😊
As well you should be proud of your knitted sweater! That was a big project even for an experienced knitter. You nailed it! I am very proud of you Corinna 👏 🥰 💛 The stocking is adorable.
That was a fun one ! I remember as a small child someone made my mum, sister and myself some slippers , I remember you had to wear socks with them otherwise your toes poked through the holes lol . I love your sweater and that flower looks super cute .
Oh my, I love this. I have a daughter who would absolutely love these to wear with her platform boots. And I think I have the perfect yarn already 🤞 I have enough. Thank you for another great video, and thanks to your son for such a fun pick for a mystery. Blessings to you and your family
Your sweater turned out beautifully. It is very flattering and I especially like the flower detail. The socks/stockings are so fun if I crocheted I would make myself a pair.
I love the fishnet stockings. I wore them in the 60s. Yoy did a great job on your sweater. Fun that you used the crochet flower. If i remember it was a set of coasters. As always I LOVE your video.
Best way to start my birthday Morning! Love your sweater and those socks turned out great. I like the look over the leggings. A little lace border would be cute on the top. And you used my favorite color too! Thank you for starting my day off great!
I’m 68 yrs old. I remember fishnet stockings. I’m only guessing but you probably had to wear a garter belt to keep those up. Never thought about crocheted ones though. I love your sweater. Don’t knit but want to make myself a sweater soon.
Love the slipper pattern, thanks!❤️ Congratulations on your beautiful sweater, you did a wonderful job! In Australia we call them jumpers (I don’t know why)! Last year I knitted my very first Shetland shawl, I made lots of mistakes but I am happy how it turned out! Love your channel! ❤from🇦🇺
Greetings from Las Vegas. I find this concept of mystery crochet fascinating. I've watched a few now and am totally drawn in. Funny thing . . . on a previous episode I was working a two by two knit rib and the pattern you were doing was in multiples of 3. I kept doing a 3rd stitch. Had to put my sock down because I kept screwing up my 2 by 2 rib. I was very amused at myself. Lol.
What a cute dog you have. ❤ You did a great job with the sweather. 👍Thank you for making the mystery patterns. It is always fun to see how they turns out. The mesh stockings turned out so cool. I have to make them. Keep up the good work, Corinna 😊
I’m sorry but those were the WORST socks EVER!🤣🤣🤣 Congratulations on your first ever knitted sweater! You did a great job and the little flower is perfect! Comfy sweater!
Those stockings are adorable! I was born in 1963 so I don't remember them, but had I been born earlier would have. Love the sweater and the flower! You did a fantastic job ♥️
Thank you for doing this video! It was fun to watch. There is a pattern “out there” for a vest done in a similar stitch pattern. It was a very popular clothing item for teenagers in the late 1960’s. I didn’t know that there were matching socks.
Aaaah! You got your piggies out for freee!!! Hahaha jkjk these are pretty cute. Love your sweater too! I have been teaching myself knit too! Can't wait until I can make a knit sweater!!
Great job on the sweater! I sleep with crocheted socks. They work very well for me bc I am cold when getting into bed then run hot during sleep. The mesh allows for better cycling thru my body temps.
This was so fun !! I made a pair of crochet slippers and they hurt my feet on the bottom and I used soft yarn ??? Maybe it's just my feet ?? Love ur knitted sweater and the flower makes it pop you did so good for first time knitting !! Be proud of your work !! Thank You for another great video 📸. !! ❤ It !!

100% agreed!
Patterns were shorter because pattern followers were able to think and didn't need everything spelled out

Looks like it's gonna be a house slipper

Great job! On the stocking and the sweater! Being a child of the 60s, this very mod!
What a simple but creative pattern. Never thought to make them that way
Anything 60s 70s or 80s vintage crochet instantly catches my attention 🤩 thank you! 🤗

Me too! I'm on level 64 in the game of Life. I love the patterns from our era ❤❤❤
That sweater is adorable.
I had a pair of these my grandma made me for christmas. We wore them over our tights in the winter for extra warmth.
Sweater looks fabulous ! I remember those stockings a friend of mine her mother made her those stockings. I wanted some so bad, but unfortunately, my mother did not crochet.❤ now is my chance.😊
So cute, I m from 1948, and in my time we made this stockings. Love it ❤
Your sweater is too cute & I think the flower adds the perfect pop of color. I think you made a fine sock.

Can’t wait to surprise my spouse with these socks! The sweater looks great!
This pattern would make a nice Christmas stocking too. Your sweater is beautiful
That is exactly what I was thinking! So, I am sticking this one on my "Crochet - Christmas" playlist, as well as my "socks, slippers, shoes, and leg warmers" playlist.

Great job on the sweater. Super cute and I love those socks too (and they're from the year I was born. Yay!) ❤

That's a nice sock and the tassels would make it really fun!
Your sweater is very pretty! Congratulations! You've done very well as a beginner. :)
